Mason was very helpful over the phone when confirming my appointment. Upon arrival he greeted me and showed me to the reception desk. A sweetheart! The Salon is a small portion of the back of the store. It is shared space for stylists and can get a bit chaotic with all the foot traffic. Nya was completing a haircut when I arrived. I waited and then met with her for an assessment of my hair. The summer season has brought on high temperatures and my hair has suffered. I was behind on my trim schedule a well with damaged ends. Nya took her time talking to me and getting to know me and my hair goals. She provided education and feedback. She did not try to upsell me on products or services. I had a Olaplaex protein treatment and needed a haircut. She took off a few inches and talked with me about a haircare plan. She really took her time with my blow out and cut. It was nice to talk about new hair products and chat with some of the other stylists. They use the Cecred line here along with Redken, Kenra and Moroccan Oil. I would have enjoyed my appointment a lot more without so many clients and stylists in one small place. This salon would be excellent in a bigger salon space. I loved the diversity with the salon staff and clients who were serviced. It was nice to see African American women with natural hair being serviced by stylists of whom they can relate to. After my appointment I was able to redeem my offer for my birthday gift and decided on the Olaplaex treatment bundle. I look forward to returning again for a service.

The specialist I was rescheduled with had been waxing with EWC for many years and had recently transferred to this location. Since I was leaving for an overseas trip two days later, I figured my options were fairly limited and kept my appointment. The specialist was friendly and checked in with me often to ensure I was doing ok. At checkout, the girls at the desk persuaded me to purchase a 'buy three, get one free' package. Once I got home and took a look below, I found that the entire inner part had been missed. Now, if I want to attempt to achieve myself what I paid to have done for me, I'm forced to spend precious pre-trip time doing so. She also found a tinted lip balm that almost perfectly matched the color of the other brand of lipstick that I use (because I love the color, but it kept breaking). We also discussed eye liners and the different colors that would look good on me. She helped me pick out two colors I would never have picked on my own. During check out I noticed the eye shadow brushes. She and I discussed the different brushes and I ended getting two (2) of them. Lauren was a pleasure to work with and I am glad I stopped in that day. She was knowledgeable and patient. I will definitely return to this location. I had a second opportunity to work with Lauren when I called the store to inquire about a different facial moisturizer. She was just as helpful this time, too. I ended up getting the moisturizer, more of the tinted lip balm, and another eye shadow brush.
