Love this brow bar!!! They're always so sweet, professional, and accommodating. I've been seeing Jaz since August, and she is truly amazing. She's wonderful. I recently got my brows done by Quartney, and she's is so amazing as well. They both are great with the brow mapping. For those who have never been to the brow bar, it's life changing. They show you exactly what they're going to do by drawing out what areas of hair that are going to be removed. They both have done a great job with keeping the fullness of my brows while keeping it in a great shape and cleaning them up. I've been to other brow bars at different Ulta locations, but this one is my favorite. So professional and they do great work. They will even touch up your make up and conceal the redness after the wax. Jaz even showed me what my brows would look like if I put brow pomade on. All in all, this place is pretty good. I would recommend them. However, I didn't go with Nikki, I went with another technician. She admitted that she didn't enjoy doing eyebrows, but was "ok" with it. Hmm, ok....She herself had very questionable BOLD eyebrows that made me suspicious of her experience and style. None the less, I continued with the appointment. She outlined my eyebrows and talked to me about what I wanted. I gave little direction and told her I just wanted them to look better - admittingly, they were in pretty bad shape and I didn't know how to fix them or really what I wanted. She went on her way and I liked what she proposed. When she was done, it was clear they looked better and I appreciated that. I asked her for some advice on brow makeup (nope, I don't wear any of that stuff) and she gave me some advice and used one product on me. WOAH! Not what I was looking for. It made me look scary. She told me I'd get used to it, it'd just take some time. I could tell she was a fan of the BOLD eyebrows so I gave her the benefit of the doubt and didn't immediately wipe it off. Nonetheless, I thanked her and went about my way. (She also gave me some pretty good recommendations for lipsticks!) At home, my husband wasn't a fan of the scary brow (my 6 month old daughter was also not impressed) and later that night when I wiped off the brow makeup I realized my eyebrows were slightly misshappen, but I think she mentioned that was an issue that would take some growth to fix. I'm satisfied overall with the look and the product that I will go again. Probably just go with a different technician. read more

Used to love coming here. But the past two times I have gone I noticed that I had a red mark on one of my eyelids once I got home. I thought the first time it was just irritation but I now believe that it's a burn. Check out the photo section to see it. I called Ulta to ask questions about it and the person simply stated they weren't responsible because of waivers I signed. I was then told to come in and speak to Shannon, one of the brow bar girls. All she told me was to "put Vaseline on it." I understand that I signed a waiver but you do still have some type of responsibility to not burn your customers or care less about customer service. Will not be returning ever again. Luckily, corporate seems more concerned when I called and provided outstanding customer service. UPDATE: The manager Bethany was lovely and called me to remedy the situation. She was amazing and gave me a refund. I greatly appreciate her concern and professionalism. However, I do not believe I will be returning as I can't really trust either "brow expert" now. read more

I have never had a good brow wax experienced before. I went today to get my brows done I showed Nikki an example of what I wanted done. She did my brows perfectly and I have to say the experience was virtually pain free. She said the wax they use is a high quality level that rips just the hairs and not your skin. Nikki was kind enough to touch up my eyebrow area (which was red because of the wax) with concealer and makeup so I didn't leave looked red faced, I'm usually not one for splurging but this was so worth it. Nikki is exceptional and you will not be disappointed.My brows look amazing and came out exactly the way I always dreamed they could look!! Never been and always wanted to have my brows done here. Came here with my husband and decided to go for it and they were super accommodating for not having an appointment. I hate to say I can't remember the name of the person who did my brows but she was super nice and really informative. I had a fun time chatting with the sales people hanging at the bar and got great tips on lashes and other fun things. I highly recommend and getting your brows done here and really the price is not bad at all. read more

I've gotten my brows done here twice. The first time was the week of my engagement photos in the fall. The girl took off too much of my brow, and it didn't look right unless it was filled in. I also got an ingrown hair, which had never happened to me before. Luckily, makeup worked wonders, but it was a less than stellar experience. The second time I went back, I made a last minute appointment and wasn't told ahead of time that a Benefit brow person wasn't available. Instead, the esthetician waxed my brows. She didn't use mapping and didn't seem experienced in brow waxing, which seemed a little strange. I ended up with an unnatural looking brow shape without any arch. I can't recommend this Benefit Brow Bar to anyone else. read more

I went here once to get my brows done on a whim, I just drove in and asked if they had time for a walk in (they totally take walk-ins, technically, you guys). The girl gave me attitude about it like "generally, we like people to make APPOINTMENTS but you got very lucky so I guess we could take you now". Criticized what I wanted her to do with my eyebrows like "that's not the current style" and when I asked her to do the front of my brows which are non-uniform and scraggly said that it's not their policy to pluck past the nose? Like, what? Anyways, they did look good but I had to ask repeatedly for what I wanted and she kept trying to tell me to do something else... She recommended I grow my brows out a bit before getting them done again just to have more to work with. So I did! And I've been calling for THREE DAYS to try and get an appointment. I keep being put on hold for upwards of ten minutes. No one has answered the phone once. I'm not wasting any more of my time on this place. I'll just go somewhere else. Maybe they'll actually make prompt appointments and listen to what I tell them. Also, overpriced. Waxes are like half this price anywhere else. read more

This place is very unprofessional and when I actually was able to schedule a service it was awful! If you want to keep your eyebrows I suggest you go elsewhere. In fact if you want exceptional service there is a Benefit Brow Bar at the Town & Country location and Liz is amazing!!! read more

I have been going to Nikki for almost 2 years and I would never let anyone else ever touch my eyebrows! She is very professional and excellent at what she does. Nikki gives you your ideal brows every single time and I have never, ever had a bad experience. Will never ever attempt to visit this location again. I had an appointment for the brow bar and when I arrived I was told that the brow girl went home. They said they attempted to call me 20 min prior to let me know but I never received a call. They had the wrong phone number down, plus I was already on my way at the time they said they called. They told me just go to the Richmond location they will take you. I let them know I will not drive to the Richmond location without calling first. Sure enough the Richmond location was booked. Don't waste your time at the Kirby location, the Richmond location is much better. They won't waste your time. read more

I was very excited when I book this appointment trying this place out. Especially after reading all the great reviews. I had scheduled appointments and the day of my appointments during lunch I chipped a tooth. I was afraid I was going to be running late but I was not sure so I wanted to communicate this with the brow bar. I started calling them one hour before my appointments I was not sure if they had a policy about running five minutes late or not. I called over 15 times trying to get in touch with somebody and could not. I finally dial to speak to somebody in the salon to probably picked up and said she could not help she would have to transfer me... And then I was on hold for a very long time. After a gentleman finally picked up I told him I had been trying to get through but unable to if there were any phone issues that day. He seemed annoyed with my question. He then transfer me to somebody else I tried asking if I could be five minutes late or if I needed to reschedule but I did mention again that I had been trying to get in touch with somebody but unable to. The girl who answered stated that yeah unfortunately she was busy and they were unable to answer the phone. She replied like it was no big deal then wanted to reschedule me two hours later. I know being 5 minutes late is frowned upon that's why I wanted to communicate right away. 50 minutes with no one answering the phone is crazy. I then said never mind all together. read more

I've never had anything close to the quality of this place at other waxing or threading establishments. I've had my brows shaped here half a dozen times and by two different people and the consistency is remarkable. Though not cheap, I think the price of the services is fair for what you get. I've been searching for the perfect eyebrow expert for quite some time now and I'm so glad I found Nicki! She did my brows for the first time today and I won't let anyone else touch them ever again.
