They burned my legs and these marks will need medical attention and years before they go away. I left there office and my legs were in EXTREME PAIN. To make matters worse, when I approached the clinic about the issue, they admitted their fault by firing the technician but refused to give me a refund for the session that caused the burns. I came for my fist ever facial peeling and I have to say that I enjoyed the application process. Very quick and friendly. We were done in 20 min tops! The product they use is called VI Peel Precision Plus. I had some uneven skin tone with some slight to mod acne scars and some slight active acne. My aesthetician (Amber)was very friendly and said she could tell I was going to have great results because of how my skin was responding-turning red and frosting where there were some DNA-damaged cells--interesting! The product itself has a very strong chemical-ly odor which is to be expected. I was careful not to inhale it too much. I've read other reviews where they say that they had peeling here but it did nothing for them, I think it depends on how many times you've had it done--the first is always the best! Also, this brand line is good for beginners like me. Didn't burn my face off, it felt like I was blushing profusely (ergo the redness). But not uncomfortable. The peeling cost $399.00 which is expensive for me. I did do a Yelp voucher paying $75 for $100 voucher. ~$25.00 off. Not bad. I will update after a few days with final pics at the end of 7 days. The office is also very neat, clean, and comfortable. My issue is with the hair growth I've seen on my legs. I don't think I should need a touch up so soon. I went in initially for my laser hair removal (PCOS hair growth)That I had purchased on Groupon - it's stated that it was for a large area.. Small areas were considered your chin, your cheek, you know maybe your neck or draw line. I wanted my jaw line and cheeks so I bought the package for large area. When I got it for my initial appointment I was told that I could not do my jawline and cheeks I would have to pick an area.. Completely fine! So, I chose my jawline. Upon choosing my jaw line and asking only if they had a package that included the whole face-I was told that I should probably go somewhere else-mind you, I already paid for the large area then I was told I would have to pay for the small area I was getting done because they couldn't switch the packages.. I did that in less than five minutes. I went back for my second visit which was changed three times in their system and I received the email confirmations -but I never changed my appointment. During the appointment I asked if I could switch the area From my jawline to my Cheeks which was also considered a small area-after a bit of back-and-forth between the tech and the owner where I heard the owner tell the tech for me to find another place for my treatments-the owner came and she said yes. I advised her that it was not a big deal if I could not it will be fine and I would stick with what I have- that visit she scolded me and told me I had to stick to one area because they were not going to switch to another area again-understandable exclamation I'm not a child so the manner in which she spoke to me was unacceptable but I digress. My third appointment I went in and buy this point I was a bit annoyed with them not only had my appointments been Been switched from the hours I had chosen but they also switch an appointment which was to be at 11 AM to 230 and then they also change the day. Now all this finally led me to believe based on the first visit when I was told to find another place that I obviously wasn't welcome there. I stopped to think what could I have done....NOTHING! I'm extremely manageable, always smiling and happy most of the times but always affable - I asked the young ladies at the front desk if they had any idea why my appointments were changed-they stated it wasn't change and then proceeded to show them the emails which showed their system change my appointment over three times and no one knew anything. I found the owner and I advised her about how I was feeling - I told her I did not feel welcome, I wasn't certain if it was because I was fatOr because I'm tall, because I had a shaved head at that point or if it's just because I was black which I would hate to believe. There were no other black people there besides one of the techs.. The owner told me that my appointment was not changed and that I was the one that missed appointments possibly and that's why they were rescheduled - I advised her I would show her the emails once this visit was done she then told me "no show me the emails now" which indicated she did not believe me. When I showed her the emails and text showing that my appointments had been changed repeatedly - she went to the front desk and spoke to the two young ladies that appear to be sisters and ask why my appointment had been changed they looked at her confused. They then stated they didn't change the appointment and they don't know how it happened she began to chastise them in front of me which I did not like and it did not make me feel any more comfortable and after she told me my next appointment would be with her and she would take care of me. She offered no apology, And she seemed as though she was annoyed by me and even after I showed her the emails it still seems as though she didn't want me there. I still have three other treatments but I never returned. I am a business owner I know what it is when you're overwhelmed and things slip under the radar and I know when maybe you want to specific client don't mesh well together but never have I made anyone feel uncomfortable that has spent their money with me by choice at that. I feel as though I did not fit into the demographic that she wanted to treat. Upon my first visit she continued to call me sir although everything about me in my opinion and those that sat there state I am a woman which I am-I am tall and I am heavyset but still a WOMAN. I had consultation done and was turned away due to my skin color. Meaning that if you don't have fair white skin you are not a candidate for spider veins treatment.I believe that they should have you complete the forms and send a picture in order for anyone to avoid driving there for nothing. Had a great experience yesterday at Yana skin care. I'm an esthetician so I'm always wary to have someone else touch my face but Roweida knew her stuff and put me at ease. I went in for a microneedling session. Roweida explained how it works, its benefits & the products she would be applying. She also let me know that it would take me at least 3 days before I looked presentable. This was good to know since many other places advertise this service as "no downtime." Glad to know Roweida had my back. She completely numbed my face so I didn't feel anything during the session. I actually enjoyed getting to lay there & chat with Roweida. I also got burned really bad in one of the sessions and had those patches all around my neck and worse ones by my upper lip for more than a week. DON'T GO HERE unless you want your personal information divulged! Yasmeen (the manager) told my supervisor what procedure I was scheduled to have which is a violation of my HIPPA rights. When I called her on it, she replied that she was "caught off guard." Furthermore, they had the audacity to send me a text message (the day of my procedure) stating that they have to cancel my appointment because the esthetician is out sick. I asked, "Well, are they both sick because there's two?" The response was, "let us know when you would like to reschedule". At this point, I had already taken off work. I expressed to them that they violated my personal privacy, retaliated by canceling my procedure because I called them on it, in which now at this point, they are jeopardizing my job. I received no response!!!They are very unprofessional, and I would never recommend their practice. I had 12 treatments on my armpits and 6 treatments on my Brazilian area and did not have results. I saw a slight change but I still have almost 70% of the hair growth I had before starting the treatments. I consistently expressed that the settings etc. needed to be adjusted and that was always a battle. Due to the lack of results I was given a free facial as a jester, and it was a nice facial but that did not change the fact I did not have any results. I went to Avantae Laser and medispa this past Friday and had a session on my armpits. I was not expecting much from the treatment but Sunday-Monday I had hair fall out, which is something I have not seen since having the first treatment at Yana. Also my armpits have gotten lighter just after that one session. I think why I had results at Avantae is because one, they did not put any ultrasound gel on the skin that was to be treated. Two, I think they have more experience with darker skin so she inspected the area before even starting. She tested one section before even continuing the whole armpit just to see if they were able to capture any hair on the setting they had etc.. There were specific things she was looking for and made sure she saw what she needed before even proceeding and that certainly does not happen at Yana Skin care. As Avantae being the place Nasimah was certified at, they indicated that they do not recommend ultrasound gel or any other products before any sessions. They said the gel typically acts as a barrier and can affect results. The type of laser that they have at Yana is similar to the one at Avantae and does not need any gel. I gave this review 3 stars because Nasimah is nice but I still did not receive any results. If you are still considering this place opt out of the ultrasound gel because you do not need it. She can be very persuasive so I would stand firm. read more

Do NOT come here if you are planning on having PRP micro needling done. I have had a HORRIBLE experience here, and would never recommend this place to anyone. I purchased the 3 PRP session package for $1200. The first time I arrived for the first session, the technician drew my blood and it took her multiple sticks to even draw enough blood, you know getting stuck by a needle is never fun. But multiple times? Yikes. Well she finally got some so we went ahead and I finished the first session. The second session is where I encountered the most painful blood draw of my life I wanted to pass out. (FYI, I was an Accutane for half a year and that requires you to have your blood drawn every month, I've never had issues getting my blood drawn) The technician proceeds to stick me again MULTIPLE times and as she's trying to find a vein she moves the needle inside my arm. She finally gets a little blood, but decides it's not enough. At this point I am not allowing her to continue to stick me and at this stage I notice there is now a golf ball sized knot right below where she stuck me. I had never seen that happen in my life. At this point my face is already numb so I stupidly proceeded with the session. After the session I decided that this was the last time I wanted to come back here so I demand to speak with the manager. I regret not obtaining her name, but she was about 5'5 and what seemed to be of middle-eastern or Indian descent. I explain to her what has happened to me and the reason I no longer want to return and how I'd like my money back for the 3rd session I did not want to complete... she has to audacity to minimize what had just happened and then informs me that because I had purchased a package deal of 3 sessions she is not willing to refund me the difference. She convinces me that because I've already paid I should come back a 3rd time, but the last time I can ask for just a regular microneedling. I was so furious and I should have followed my instincts to never come back but I figured they'd credit me back the last time I came since I was going to have a less pricey procedure than the PRP. One day after this horrible blood draw I developed a huge bruise down my arm... nowhere near where the technician had stuck me. What does this mean? That she had blown my veins. I had regular bloodwork a month after and the phlebotomist there informed me I now have scar tissue in that arm. I'll attach a picture of the bruise. When I called to schedule the 3rd time I spoke with Jackie who was very kind and understanding and made me aware I had a credit because I no longer wanted the PRP but the regular microneedling. I trusted her and I mentioned it again when they called to confirm. I walked in had my regular session and it went well, the technician even mentioned how I had a credit. Before I talked to the manager a third person there mentioned I had a credit, 201$ were the exact words that came out of her mouth. Well, guess what? The manager was completely denying it what they had all told me. Instead she starts to talk to the receptionist about HOW I NOW OWE THEM MONEY. I have lost all hope in this woman at this point. So you're telling me that THREE people at the point have mentioned how I have a credit, but the manager completely denies it to me how the hell do 3 of your employees see this credit but you don't? This is an honest review of my experience. I am not here to bash the technician, she had great bedside manner and overall a very nice person. I am here to warn you that if something goes wrong in any of your procedures or treatments, NOTHING WILL BE DONE FOR YOU. This manager has no place in customer service and should be removed at once, she is a disgusting manipulative liar. I should have followed my instinct and called the police or reported her to whomever I needed to when she refused to refund me, but please learn from my mistake.
