Really nice selection of well-curated, nicely organized antiques. While the space is well used to display a number of items, it does not feel cluttered or crammed with stuff like other shops in the area. It's also very well-lit and bright. We purchased a small table in here in the Spring and the owner was super helpful in finding a table in the size we were looking for within the store. Vast selection of silverware and tableware. Limited parking in the area. I'd recommend parking on a side street and walking here then bringing your car back around if you decide to purchase a larger item. read more

Benefit Street Antiques is the quintessential antiques shop. They have gorgeous old pieces of furniture, silver, even lace doilies, if you're into that kind of thing. While the items are arranged in a mish-mash, everything is clearly priced and accessible. It's a pleasant shop to stroll through, and the owner is lovely and more than willing to help you find what you're looking for, or leave you to brows by yourself. I'm no antiques expert, but they have really wonderful furniture that reminds me of the things my grandmother used to have. Their collection of silvery trays is wonderful, and I wanted to buy at least five of them during my visit. I'll definitely back to do some more in-depth shopping - love it! read more

Many items in our home have come from Benefit Street Antiques. It's not like other antique shops where they'll sell practically anything claiming it to be of value, these items are valuable, nice, and selected to be in the store. You can't walk in here without finding some sort of treasure you'd like. I highly recommend stopping in to see for yourself. A gem of a shop! read more

I would never have known this place was here if my wife didn't open my eyes to it. Three floors of knick knacks will titillate your collecting senses. I had no idea it was that big inside, it looks like one of those tiny store fronts where the angry owner eyeballs you the whole time...but it's nothing like that. I picked up a Led Zep record and an old, warm sweatshirt for the winter. I could have spent much more time in here but I had to get over to Plant City to stuff my face. This is a great place to browse. I like that everything is clearly priced and the staff is very helpful. Whenever I've stopped by I have found a few nice things that I would like to have but often come to realize I either don't need them or they do not fit with the decor in my house. A couple years ago I bought a nice set of 6 hardwood dining room chairs that were probably about 90 years old. One or two of the chairs have needed a little wood glue to sure them up and the seats of chairs would benefit from being reupholstered someday but I have absolutely no regrets for buying antique chairs with a lot of character for around $75 each rather than something more expensive and kind of generic from Ikea or another big box store. read more

They have horrible smelling glade plug-in air fresheners everywhere. I opened door and was hit with it immediately. They have nice window displays so I was thinking of looking for some furniture for my new house. Not only is the air horribly polluted by these heinous chemical products, but anything for sale in the space is contaminated too and I would never purchase an item from a space where glade plug-ins or any chemical air fresheners were in use. I opened the door for a second and was instantly sick and the smell clung to my clothing and hair for an hour or so afterwards. I wrote the store an email about this health concern and there was no answer. read more

Adorable. The perfect petite antique shop, and very well lit and organized. I grew up in an antique mecca in New Hampshire, so I've seen my fair share of messy barns masquerading as "antique shops" (really, more like a prolonged yard sale...under a roof...for two generations). Benefit Street Antiques is a unique space filled with light and organized (clearly marked) estate pieces. Chairs with original (in GOOD condition) or replaced upholstery. Polished tables. Organized china and silver. Even some odds-n-ends (old postcards from hre and away, a string of pearls, old books with a love note scrawled in the cover). I'm not sure if the woman behind the desk was the owner, but she was lovely (very kind and helpful). read more

Benefit Street Antiques makes me wish I was able to remember every innate detail of my history of furniture and architecture classes from college, alas I don't but it's nice to look through these insanely cute shop at all the furniture and try to remember. They always have a good variety of pieces as well as silver, books, and tea sets. Last time I was in I bought two beautiful tea cups and saucer for a friend's Christmas gift. I think it's time for me to go back in and find a new treasure. read more

I absolutely love this store! I can always find something there to give as a gift or to add to my furnishings. The owner has impeccable taste and everything is beautifully organized. Items range from china, linens and jewelry to chairs, tables, light fixtures. You can find just about anything here and the stock changes frequently. Prices are very fair. It used to be on the corner of Benefit and Wickenden Street, but kept the Benefit St. name after moving further down the block. This is a definite " find", a go to place. read more

You don't have to be an antique yourself to enjoy a visit to this wonderful shop with the misnomer Benefit Street Antiques as it's actually on Wickenden Street. Or wait! Is the owner cleverly implying she gets her antiques from the historic homes on the Mile of History? However she got the name, I love this smaller antiques shop in Fox Point. The owner is friendly, helpful and just overall a nice lady. The space itself is so much more pleasant than so many antiques shops I visit. It's clean, bright and sunny and the way the items are displayed shows a real thoughtfulness and sense of style. The owner is clever: when I see a table set with flowers and dishes or hutch with antique china in it, I can also see it in my home. Tags have the dimensions on the back (why don't they all do this?!) I recently purchased a hutch there and was able to have it delivered for $50. If you don't have a pickup truck or SUV or you can't be bothered wrestling a dresser up a flight of stairs, this is wonderful! Quality items, good prices and a pleasant owner. Definitely a favorite stop for me. read more
