    Thali plate
    Dick B.

Great indian dishes for a very fair price! The waiters are very kind and polite. I ordered the Thali plate, which was quite perfect. I would definitely recommend it!

We have lived in this area for 8 years, and have Indian food in Bengal Restaurant for 7 years. We family are fan of Indian food, tasted all Indian restaurants in this area, Bengal is the best and we just go back and back again The price is beautiful too!!! We love chicken dish, spinach dish and keema rice highly recommend

Bengal Restaurant was an absolute delight. I swear I craved the dinner for days later. The reviews I read were spot on. The food and the owner who was so helpful with our choices. This is a must visit if you like Indian Food.

Found this via Yelp (obviously!) while feeling peckish in the area. £16.50 for the whole meal of tandoori lamb starter (nice), chicken tikka main course (juicy but somewhat lacking in taste/spices), naan (ok) and a large beer (well lager is a lager...). Not the best Indian I've encountered in London but quite all right nevertheless. It's a small place, had few others at 6:30pm on Monday. Service was very quick and friendly. Would I return? Yeah, value for money was good even though it was not a full five star experience as such

I came to this place because it got great reviews and was a short distance from where we were staying. I was not disappointed! The food was the best Indian food I have ever had. The servers were friendly, attentive. The food came quickly and was a reasonable price. Delicious dishes! My only regret is that I had not found it sooner or I would have ate here twice! Delicious, don't miss out!!

Excellent service. The specialties were delicious; mixed grill, lamb and chicken. The onion starter was tasty.

It's…read morequirky and cosy; the food is good, the service is friendly; and the bill will make your jaw drop - but in a good way. I was taken there recently by a friend who lives nearby. The exterior doesn't prepare you for what you find inside - not that much could. What you find is an intimate space, decorated in dark reds with baroque panels, rather like the sort of small 18th century opera house you might find in Prague or Salzburg. There are even little balcony "boxes" with tables accessed by vertiginous stairs (NB not good for long legged or tall people). The food is a mixture of French and modern European. There are vegetarian starters and mains, but the menu is heavy on throroughly meaty dishes, such as char-grill Lamb Steak, with crushed new potatoes, julienne vegetables and green peppercorn sauce, or chicken breast stuffed with minted minced lamb, herbal mash and Port wine sauce. I had the grilled Portobello mushroom, prepared with garlic and served with spinach and a roast pepper sauce; followed by roast aubergine strudel, stuffed with grilled asparagus and ricotta cheese, served with French beans and a tomato and basil sauce. Service was very pleasant throughout and I like the fact that they don't charge for a basket of bread. The prices vary depending on whether you book before or after 7pm; you'll save a pound on the starter and a couple of pounds on the main course if you go before. We had a very decent French vin de pays as the house wine. Pleasanter still was the bill - £55 (including service) for three people each having two courses, after 7pm. I'll definitely go back - or maybe try one of their other branches...

I came here a fair bit 10 or so years ago and had forgotten how good it is for the money. I love the ramshackle seating here and service is always friendly, if somewhat brisk. The dishes are all a little different from the norm, so it can be a nice experience to try a few dishes between a few people. I know that every review mentions that price, but the last time I paid The Little Bay a visit, I was actually surprised at the relatively high price of three people dining and a bottle of wine to split. It used to be very, very cheap. Regardless of price, the food is great here. The atmosphere has it's charm. The service is a decent standard. What is not to like?

Widely regarded as one of the city's most popular vegan restaurants, it delivers food that is satisfying, hearty, and packed with flavour. I ordered the Chick+n Caesar Burger, which featured a plant-based chick+n patty, Caesar mayonnaise, lettuce, and red onion relish. My wife chose the Beetroot Carrot Vada Burger, made with a masala-spiced beetroot and carrot patty, mango lime slaw, green chutney, and tamarind chutney. Both burgers were served with a generous portion of fries and made for a very filling meal. What stood out most was the quality of the flavours and the portion sizes. Every ingredient felt thoughtfully chosen, and the combinations worked exceptionally well together. As someone who regularly eats meat, I was genuinely impressed by the texture and flavour of the Chick+n Caesar Burger. We also ordered two fresh juices: the Cucumber, Celery & Apple and the Pineapple, Apple, Ginger & Turmeric. Both were refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or simply looking to try something different, Mildreds is well worth a visit. The menu is creative, the food is delicious, and the overall experience demonstrates just how good plant-based dining can be. Highly recommended if you're visiting London and exploring the Covent Garden area. Service was great - super friendly staff Ambiance was nice - a chilled, quiet, progressive crowd

The mains were so good. We had the Korean fried chicken burger (which was HUGE, by the way), the beetroot burger, and the tofu salad. The burgers were very good, but boy, when I took a bite of my friend's salad, I fell in love. It was refreshing, the flavors were yum, and I'm drooling a bit rn thinking about it. The staff were extremely quick, kind, and sweet. There's lots of seating, although the downstairs area was quite packed. Overall, I loved the ambience of the place!

There's certainly an "organic" atmosphere. Not many veggie options - but then it's not billed as a veggie restaurant. The burgers are variable, as is much of the food. If you're lucky it can be great - if not, not! The staff can be pleasant - sometimes. One thing that really annoyed me was they charged a couple of £ for tap water! Tap water! When I queried this they said it was "because its filtered tap water". If you're in Queen's Park there are far better places to enjoy in the same price range! Jazz on the weekend can be good - although the volume level is high. If it's really sunny and summery and you can get one of the outside wicker chairs and tables then it's a very good place to grab some bloody mary's and coffee to come back to life after a big night out - but in IMHO this place has gone downhill.

Very light and airy - feels like the outdoors even when you're sitting inside. What particularly struck me was the exceptional service. Despite being busy, I was greeted almost immediately on arrival and shown to my table. My order was taken equally quickly, my juice and coffee arrived within minutes, and about 5 minutes after that, my brunch arrived. Very efficient, but also friendly. As for the food, I ordered the English breakfast, which came with two eggs (I substituted fried for poached, which was not a problem ), bacon, pork sausage, a good helping of mushrooms, roast tomato, great fries, and a slice of toast. While it was tasty, there was nothing exceptional about it - just a good solid breakfast. I didn't try anything else but saw some burgers come out that looked appetising. I would definitely recommend this if you were after a good quality brunch and short on time. The last place I had brunch took 90 minutes - and I hadn't intended to linger - just the service was lousy. At Hugo's I was in and out in 30 minutes, though didn't feel rushed at all. It would be equally comfortable to spend a lazy hour and enjoy a second cup of coffee. I'll definitely be back!
