Butter chicken thali with a side of garlic naan.
    Ainsley E.

I wasn't expecting super homemade authentic curry here but it met my expectations. A bit pricey for what you get -- if you order only curry you also have to get a side of rice, naan, or another accompaniment. I had the butter chicken thali which was good -- nice to have an assortment of dishes to try. Also had the raspberry mojito which was good but not outstanding. I'm not sure how other Indian restaurants arrange and price their menus but being from the States I had an expectation that at least rice would be included with a main dish. That said you probably can't go wrong with anything on the menu here -- definitely a good find!

It's got a trendy, modern ambiance and the dishes are flavorful with portions just the right size! Husband ordered the butter chicken thali meal with rice and a side of garlic naan + a glass of Johnny Walker - delicious Indian comfort food! I ordered the green chicken curry with basmati rice and a Coca Cola - herbaceous with a strong coriander note and very satisfying! Enjoyed our dessert: brownie and chai! Left very full and happy

Decent food..ok service.. Have the large multi item plates. A taste of everything... It is a chain but always decent.. The only gripe is the local price of kingfisher beer..£4.5 for a 0.3l 12oz London made kingfisher..back in USA a .5 or 1l is only about $5..i know it's small but..

Providing very affordable, good-quality Indian cuisine, Masala Zone is a venture of the more up-market Chutney Mary chain. The service when I have been there has been very fast - it can get very busy, and is a bit noisy, so not really a place to linger for a romantic meal for two - but great if you want some decent Indian food. Recent lunch experiences have been very good - they do a two-course option for £7.95, so you can get a decent, varied meal, with a drink, for about a tenner. This certainly adds depth to the stock of restaurants in Earl's Court, which was lacking a good Indian.

Fancy decor for Indian food within walking distance to the subway station. The food was o.k and the staff was friendly. We were seated right away. Always check your bill in London, service charge 12.5% may or may not be included.

We're pretty far away from the kind of modern, polished & intimate boutique restaurants I generally like, but my experience here was clearly 5 stars when it comes to the quality of the food. We went for the regular round platter (Thali) inspired by india's real street food...looking around us, there were actually a few indians in the room, and that's always a good sign right? Well yes it definitely was. My Rogan Josh was perfectly spiced & cooked, and so was my wife's Chicken Butter, 2 pretty classic dishes, but (Rogan) Gosh!, this was out of this world...the chutney, the dhal...everything was just amazing. Oh, did I tell you I really liked it? :) Anyway, I wrote a review on a famous indian restaurant that is victims of its own success (well, not really victim, you're the victim waiting 2 hours in the queue), and this is exactly what I was talking about...those indian restaurants that offer amazing quality at reasonable price, well Masala Zone is spot on. Yes it's a chain, no it's not intimate, but for good casual indian food, this is my spot.

    Lamb sliders

Fast and attentive service. Nice atmosphere. I had the lamb sliders as an appetiser, which were quite nice. Green curry with chicken also very nice. Just above average for an Indian restaurant. And that is said in comparison with the really high level for Indian food in London. Fair price level. If nearby it is definitely an option.

Great value in the combo platter with curry of your choice, lentils, veggies, rice and potatoes. I had the non spicy chicken curry which was so flavorful and filling. Everything was spot on. My dining companion had one of the curries with 2 chili peppers next to the description and it was super spicy. She even has a high tolerance for spicy.

This is my favourite Indian restaurant, because it offers great grilled chicken, tasty nun and yummy curries with reasonable prices but nice atmosphere.

Really good Indian food! Everything was flavorful and delicious! The service was the only thing making it 4 not 5 stars. Make reservations.

There are so many restaurants to choose from - from hole in the walls to Michelin Starred so we decided to fall somewhere in the middle and found Thali within walking distance to our hotel. It a small space that was open to the outside given the hot day! The service was lovely and friendly throughout and our meal was delicious! We started with poppadoms and Chutney which were delicious then had a couple of appetizers that was also lovely! We enjoyed vegetable samosas and pakoras before moving on to our mains! We tried three : Tandoori chicken for the meat eaters any my daughter and I shared the Dal and paneer makani - the paneer dish was the best I had ever had and paired perfectly with the raita and naan!! A restaurant should respect its customers, not insult them for their food choices. Telling people…read morethey "can't force their choice" is absurd--what kind of restaurant refuses to accommodate preferences? If you serve food, customers have every right to order what they want. That's how hospitality works. What's worse is their disrespectful attitude toward Indians, looking down on customers while profiting from Indian cuisine. If you don't respect the people whose culture you represent, you shouldn't be in this business. There are many better restaurants that welcome diners with respect. Avoid this place.

I ordered over the phone as I have a Chicken Pathia fetish - having to have that dish whenever I have a curry from somewhere new, and as it wasn't on the menu I couldn't order it online due to not knowing how much it would cost! The chap on the end of the phone was very pleasant, and went to ask the chef how much my curry love would cost. They have a minimum £10 order so I chose my standard plain rice and plain naan which with 2 complimentary poppadums and complimentary chutney weighed in at just over £11. Not the cheapest I've ever had (and not the most expensive either!) but this is about what I'd expect to pay for a good meal delivered. Delivery took exactly 20 minutes, though I do live remarkably close to this place it turns out. The food came with the curry in a heat-sealed package, which I like, I think it looks very neat and clean and stops the curry spilling everywhere in transit. The rest was in plastic tubs, except naan and poppadums of course, which were still intact! It was piping hot and smelt delicious with not a hint of grease or oil floating around the top. Tender and moist chicken, a good thick sauce and a good chilli kick which didn't detract from the taste made for a great Pathia, possibly one of the better ones I've tasted. It was very coriandery though, which I myself am not fond of, but that didn't put me off as the quality was good. Naan was possibly a little undercooked and so fairly rubbery and stodgy, and I've never seen sesame seeds on a plain naan before, but it was still acceptable, and the poppadums very good, though the condiments (mango chutney and an onion salad) were in plastic pots which got hot during the journey and so the mango smelt, and tasted slightly of, plastic. Rice very good, and the small portion I got was easily a 2-person portion (I must point out I did only eat half!) and so I can only imagine how big a "Large" portion would be! Good solid curry, with a few things that just let it down a tad. And I'm thankful I spotted the cardamom seed before it spotted me!

We were seated immediately and service was very prompt. We each got a Cobra beer (HUGE!) and they came in super beautiful glasses. For starters we split the papadum + chutney and the vegetarian samosa. Papadum was such a nice combination of flakey and crispy and came with such varied chutneys. The samosas were delicious. They came with 2 and some lettuce, tomatoes, and lemon. My one complaint is that I wish the samosas had come with a dipping sauce. For main we got the mixed vegetable curry. Hugely delicious. Such a nice mix of vegetables and the curry sauce was so good. You do have to order rice on the side, which I know is common in big cities, but does always bum me out. We got a naan to accompany the main. Spent £50.40 total with 2 starters, 2 beers, and one main. Definitely on the pricey side (especially because I'm coming from America, and the USD is so weak compared to the GBP right now), but was a lovely dinner with lovely service and a nice atmosphere. Would come again for a nice dinner out :) Oh! And they gave us delicious orange chocolates at the end of the meal and heated hand wipes!

We still had to pay for rice and naan on the side and additionally were charged a 14% service fee which is absurd for the quality of service, food, and atmosphere. We were also charged 5£ for a water we did not order or drink. They refused to refund us for the water and didn't even acknowledge that the mistake was on their end completely. We weren't offered any form of compensation other than them giving us the 5£ bottle of water (that we didn't want nor ask for). Appetizers were charged per person instead of per portion so we as a group of 4 payed twice the amount of money as the group of 2 next to us despite eating the same amount of appetizers. When we tried to take a photo of the receipt he tried grabbing it out of my friends hand. The whole experience felt like a scam honestly from the main entrees not coming with rice or bread to being charged for things we didn't order. I do not recommend this place at all i'm pretty sure there's a spot on the other side of the park that's a quarter of the price with way larger portions.
