When we first moved here we put our dog in group walks and that quickly fell apart when a loose dog attacked my dog during one of these outings :( Next, I found Pam and she specializes in solo walks and I was delighted to hear that it was not much more expensive than the large group outings and relieved to hear that my dog was getting the full attention and protection of her dog walker. RELIABLE I have a very erratic work schedule and Pam rolled right with it. On more occasions than I can count, I asked Pam if she could walk my dog on an unscheduled day or at a different time and she was incredibly accommodating. I can't tell you the peace of mind you get knowing your dog is getting the care they need when you're unable to provide it. No explanation. No courteous communication. Just "sorry I don't serve your area" and "sorry I don't provide that service". Yet CLEARLY WRITTEN in their website is "Serving Benicia and surrounding areas" and "PET BOARDING". Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I could swear pet boarding is taking a pet to stay in your facility or home for a number of days. I am no geographic specialist either but I could swear that when I drive around the Bay Area and the map tells me Vallejo is 5 miles from Benicia, that that is considered to be a surrounding area. Maybe I'm just bitter, but a little professional courtesy would be appreciated. If you have a problem with a pit bull mix, just say so. If you're profiling based on my Yelp photo or what city I am from and don't want to provide me your services, say so.

Prior to speaking with Vanessa, I spoke to about 5 agents in this space who candidly did not seem like they knew what they were talking about (one even suggested he only set up the vet appointment and I mail in the paperwork, which he was happy to charge me $XXX for- sir, what am I contacting you for then?). Vanessa not only responded immediately with comprehensive information about the process (more than the USDA website and even the Vietnamese customs page- I looked) and what she could do for me. She moved mountains to make this happen, met with me at the vet process, and clearly cares deeply about the animals she is helping to move. I have to again underscore how different my experience with Vanessa was from other providers where it really felt like you're paying someone to move around paperwork and they actually expressly disclaim that after all that your dog may not even meet the requirements to get on the plane. Vanessa gave me the comfort to know things will be fine because she does this all the time, as opposed to other operators who kind of seem like they're just winging it.
