Amber is a PRO at cat washing! I brought my feisty nearly 2 yr old dilute calico in and Amber kept her under control for the wash, condition, & dry! Nail trimming would have been included, but I did that before I came in because I was a bit nervous with how my gal might behave. Plus, that's not the part I have a challenge with. Booked out yes and SO WORTH seeing this HIGHLY EXPERIENCED WOWMAN at work! The price for the wash was very fair. Dynamite pets held true to the appointment time and got us out in less than 1/2 an hour from cat out of the bag to back in. We had a great experience here. Our pup is a rescue so she can be a bit fearful and wiggly but she's also very overgrown and needed a haircut. We were able to really go into detail about how she looked when we first rescued her and what we were looking for and the result was incredible, just spot on exactly what we wanted. We're hoping our girl chills out about baths and grooming and it goes a bit easier next time but our expectations were exceeded. We chose this place because it's woman-owned, small, and local. We also wanted a space without kennels or other dogs because our girl is fearful and new. They book out pretty far but it's well worth the wait. read more

I went by looking to get some wet kitten food, but the store is very small and options are limited. The lady working there told me they didn't have any because companies don't make wet kitten food, and its not really a thing. I couldn't believe someone who works in a pet shop doesn't know about wet kitten food and how its higher in calories because kittens require higher calories, and not just for making slurry. So ill just be taking me business to Petco instead where i have a large selection of kitten food wet and dry. read more

This small shop is tucked away near the Hercules waterfront. They cater to dogs; there was nothing for my cats. I'm not an expert of dogs and what they like or require. It did seem to me that they carry top-of-the-line products and a lot of healthy pet foods. The pet food is human grade. It's unlikely that kitty babies will ask for a puppy, however, if they do decided they want one I will shop for the dog here. I like to support small local business. read more

I took my dog Jack in to be groomed. He has fur that is downy like a baby's hair and it is long. He doesn't get mats but his undercoat is a real pain in the butt. He is also the kind of dog that thinks everything is tragic and it is going to kill him. A real drama king if you know what I mean. I took him to PetSmart before and was not satisfied. By my dogs reactions I kind of felt like they had been mean to him. So I was wary when I walked in the door with my dog. But when I walked out I had decided that that was my go to place for all my pet grooming needs. My dog was not upset when I picked him up. He looked, smelled, and felt wonderful. She was extremely fast friendly and efficient. But best of all she was more than reasonably priced. She did a really good job on my dog and treated him well. read more

This small shop is just the cutest shop where you can buy all your dog and cat supplies from food, treats, and toys! The owner is Amber and she is very friendly! I came here for the first time to have grooming on my little dog and Amber was very polite and asking questions on how I wanted to have my dog's hair cut. I heard good things about this place and the staff only to be immensely disappointed. I paid for a puppy grooming appointment (which was more expensive than the normal fee) and waited 2 hours to get a call saying that they just "gave up". Obviously the haircut looked terrible, but then they went on to say that they won't cut my puppy's hair in the future. While this would've been fine on its own, they just tried to put blame on my dog and me. This really goes to show how little they care about transparency and customer service. At least try to make an effort to make amends with your customers instead of just putting the bare minimum. Ridiculous. If you care about your pets, don't take them here read more

We've been very happy with the recommendations for food and treats. More importantly, our pooch has been happy with them. I use this shop for nail trimming and the owner is always so pleasant and patient with my big guy (75lbs), who is not a fan of getting his nails trimmed. She has numerous natural pet products and a bath/grooming service for smaller dogs. I used to go to PetSmart, but the workers are just not consistent. I live in the neighborhood and I absolutely love stopping by while I'm out for a walk with my dogs. The owner is an all around animal lover and is absolutely wonderful to be around. She's very knowledgable on the products and gives great advice if you're lost on what to get your best bud. They carry lots of boutique brands that you can't find in normal pet stores and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of the products. This little pet store is absolutely the best dog & cat food supplier I have ever come across. Amber has worked for various large and small pet stores and her take on your pets health is dead on. You probably won't find the brands Dynamite pets carries anywhere else. She knows what dogs need in their diet, what's best for them and it's not sugar and salt. Sometimes as I open a can I actually think I could have it for dinner! The cost is comparable or less then premium dog food at the big pet stores. Amber deals with small producers so I order a flat at a time. My experience has been that she sells out quickly because she's a small store and so I order to try to avoid not having her dog food on my shelf. My dog, Rudy is a miniature poodle. Poodles have a propensity for digestive problems, or so I've read. When I take Rudy to his vet for booster shots, Dr. Han tells me how healthy and happy he is growing up to be.
