Ok, I would have given 5 stars, but have been frustrated by the long wait at times....that said,…read morethrough 2 pregnancies I have witnessed patients arrive LATE and still be accommodated. I would find it hard to believe that this doesn't impact the wait time for those of us who arrive on time. The practice really ought to address that. I mean, I have never been to a doctor that had anything less than a 15-20 minute wait. On one or two occasions I waited much longer than that and was peeved, but us pregnant gals to tend to be a little less patient to begin with. As far as cleanliness, I have never experienced the filth mentioned by at least one other reviewer. In fact, it has always been very clean. The practice has undergone at least 2 renovations in the time I have been going to them. The ONLY time I saw "black handprints" was when the new floors were being laid and the HALLWAY walls had handprints, from the CONTRACTORS. Dr. Llewellyn and her assistant Gail have always been very attentive and caring. I have been with them for 7 years, through two pregnancies and c-sections and now I will continue to stay with them with my current pregnancy. In fact, after my first, I moved an hour away and STILL stayed with them. THAT'S how strongly I feel about my experiences with the practice and Sturdy Memorial. I have complete trust in and respect for the medical care provided by the doctors at the practice. (Exept "Dr. MumblyOldMan", as one reviewer described who could only be Dr. Shroff) He is decidedly "old school" and his assumption that my weight gain was due to "too many sweets" was offensive. I laughed it off with the ultrasound tech, who informed me that Dr. Shroff (thick in the middle himself!) has a rather large sweet tooth. As far as the receptionists go, I have never been dissatisfied with their personalities whatsoever...upstairs OR downstairs...and I can only assume that the fishy smell described by another reviewer was perhaps left over from someone's lunch. Wow - this review is certainly longer than I intended, but when I went to look up their hours this morning I was SHOCKED to see a 2 star Yelp rating a few results down on the page. I don't think this place is getting a fair rating.

My husband has been a patient of Dr. Todani for almost six years and has received excellent care…read more But, be sure to allow plenty of time for your appointment because they are never on time and we have been kept waiting 30-45 minutes at a time. I was referred by my Optometrist to Dr. Ahmed (an associate of Dr. Todani) and ultimately scheduled laser surgery to treat glaucoma. My exam with Dr. Ahmed was on June 4 and the laser surgery was scheduled for August 13 and 27 (one eye at a time). However, I was not given a time for the surgery and was told they would contact me. Also, as I was checking out on June 4th, I asked about obtaining pre-authorization from my health insurance. I was told that I had to do that myself. I called my insurance provider and was told I needed the code for the procedure. I called the office and left a message for their billing manager to get the code and never received a call back. Then, on July 9th, my husband had another appointment with Dr. Todani so while we were there, I checked with the front desk about the code. I was told that they handle pre-authorization and I don't have to worry about it. My first surgery appointment is in 8 days and since I still don't know what time the appointment will be, I called and asked them. I was told that they schedule the appointments two days in advance. I let the front desk person know that two days in advance is not sufficient notice for me since I work full-time and need to make arrangements. She said that her manager makes the schedule so I asked to speak with her manager. Turns out the manager is on vacation for the whole month! Given that, I asked how the manager was going to let me know two days in advance of my appointment NEXT WEEK what time my appointment is scheduled for, and I was told that the manager would take care of it remotely. So, I asked the front desk person to please send an email to the manager and let her know that I need to know sooner than two days before the procedure what time the procedure will be. That's when I was told that the manager is in India so the response will be delayed. I was really tempted to cancel the whole thing and find another doctor but then the office called back and let me know what time my procedure is next week and in three weeks.

At my first appointment, I show up to them telling me I didn't have an appointment that day and I needed to come back on the day they had in the system. I demanded to be seen because (1) I had proof my appointment was supposed to be that day and (2) I needed a new contact prescription. After being told that they could make space for me with another doctor, I had presented my BCBS card and asked the receptionist if they took Davis vision, which they said they did. When the eye doctor takes me in, they realize they canceled the wrong Katelyn on the schedule for the day. No apologies for making it seem like it was my fault, which was rather irritating. Get my prescription, check out and go about my business. Fast forward a few weeks, and I get an outrageous bill from them (I had paid my copay and the contact lens fee on the day of my appointment). I call both of my insurances and come to find out, they don't accept Davis vision and cannot bill BCBS. I call the office and leave a message because I was lied to again and made to look like the issue. Get a call back from the office, told that they have never taken my insurances, and then proceed to tell me that their staff would never say they accept David vision. When I tell them that someone on their staff did, they would not accept my truth, basically called me a liar, and did not say anything about touching base with their staff about what happened. They will be getting their bill paid eventually, but never have I ever been accused of lying so so many times by a doctor. I hope this gets addressed with their staff and that if this happens to another patient, the person in charge is made aware that their staff are liars and make patients feel like idiots. I would like an actual apology but know I will never get one because they can't admit they were wrong. Never again will I go here and I will never recommend them to anyone.

When my insurance refused to cover the facility they recommended, they told me I did not need it anymore. When I wanted to switch to a different hospital equipped to handle the high-risk cases like me, he insisted that I was lowest risk pregnancy. I needed a medical certificate for FMLA leaves. He would not give it unless I got baby delivered by him. He sent a fax to my claim evaluator saying he cannot provide a medical certificate until the baby is born. I have never seen such an unprofessional doctor. He did not care about me. He just wanted to make money no matter the cost to me.

She said I was "probably fine" Ms. Reneghan assured me it was gas pain that could be "excrutiating" . BUT if the blood turned red to get to the ER. Then, she was worried enough to change my ultra sound appointment, but not worried enough to see me on a Friday at 3:30. The blood never turned red. I spent Friday, Saturday and Sunday thinking I had really bad gas pains. However, when my husband took me to the ER on Monday morning at 2AM, I was told my fallopian tube had ruptured and I had been bleeding internally ALL weekend. They told me if I had waited til my appointment with Ms. Reneghan I would have died. My blood pressure was 80/40. They performed major surgery on me immediately. I lost over a liter of blood when they cut me open, I was such a mess they couldn't even be sure where the pregnancy went. I was given 3 blood transfusions and a shot of methatrexylate (used for chemo) because they needed to be sure the pregnancy was gone. I lost my right tube and spent 5 days in the hospital. My sister called Dr. Philisophe's office to a.)cancel my appointment and b.) let them know what had happened. I never heard from them until I sent a registered letter 6wks later, to which Dr Philosophe called and apologized stating he "had no idea" what had happened to me, and he was very upset. While I don't blame him personally, I can't imagine him not knowing what his nurse practitioner is doing in his office. I filed a complaint with the board of medicine. The Board did not take disciplinary action but they kept the complaint on file. You have to call to get information on any complaints, most people probably won't so I am posting this in hopes that it doesn't happen to anyone else. Needless to say, I have a new doctor. If I had just been seen on Friday when I called, my situation would not have been so dire.
