I wanted to stop by this place. Because my wife was wanting to try this place out. I'm not a huge donut person, but I gotta say these right here were delicious. Especially the cinnamon roll that I got. I mean, it was so good. That first bite was all I needed. It was moist and soft and had the right amount of icing on it. I don't like too much icing. It takes away from the cinnamon roll. That's just me. I'm pretty sure we will be heading back there before we leave myrtle beach. If you go early in the morning, expect a long line because it probably will be out the door. It's worth the wait though. read more

Y'all I love a good bagel. And these were some of the best I'd ever had!!! We took a weeklong trip to the beach with about 10 people. Each couple chose a day to make breakfast. I chose to make a bagel bar for my day. I was pleased to find this bakery so close to where we were staying and even more pleased that the bagels were so amazing! There were SO MANY bagels to chose from! And other pastries as well (I may have bought one or two of those as well!) I bought 1.5 dozen assorted bagels. They allowed me to mix the different flavors. They also had sandwiches available which I would have gotten if I wasn't making breakfast for everyone. I was a little surprised at the cost but once I tasted the bagels, I knew that they were worth every penny! The good reviews must be from people with zero standards. First of all, when I walked in, I noticed no less than five flies buzzing around inside the bagel display. That is absolutely disgusting, and honestly, it's something the health department should be looking into. On top of that, there were at least four employees standing behind the counter, yet not a single person smiled or greeted us. The guy behind the counter just continued staring at us without saying a word. Hard pass. Definitely will not be back. You have to walk in the street or a gravel lot. We went inside to order. Talk about a line. He finally got up to order and we also wanted a milk and orange juice. We found a place to sit inside. When our order came, he told her we also ordered a milk and orange juice. We were told they would bring it out when it was ready. After he finished his bagel, he looked over and saw a cooler. Benjamin's is now my favorite breakfast spot in Surfside. We got there mid morning on a Saturday and the place was packed. The line to order was wrapped around the dining room but it moved quickly. While in line you can check out the walls lined with baked goods that they make in house. After we placed our orders, they gave us a number to set on a table outside and they brought it to the table. I had the Lotsa Lox bagel which came with cream cheese, capers, and of course lox. It was a delicious bagel. My wife loved her BEC bagel. We stopped at Benjamin's Bakery on our way back from Myrtle Beach and were thoroughly impressed. We ordered the egg and cheese sandwiches on New York-style Asiago cheese bagels, and they were exceptional. The bagels had a shiny crust with just the right amount of hardness and a beautiful glaze, while the eggs were cooked to perfection. We couldn't resist grabbing a paczki (a Polish donut), which is a rare find in South Carolina. We chose the Bavarian Cream, and it didn't disappoint--it was giant, fresh, moist, and surprisingly not overly sweet. I'd definitely return to try the Raspberry paczki next time. On a recommendation from my brother and sister in law, we tried Benjamin's one morning for breakfast while on family vacation. All I can say is wow. Not only is every menu item beautiful, they are also equally delicious. The bread on the sandwiches was extra soft which I loved and the combos of sandwiches and toppings were elite. Their pastries were also super yummy. I love coffee cake and this one was moist with a thick layer of crumble on top. The real show stopper was the apple fritter. Rich, buttery, and scrumptious is how I would describe this little gem of a treat. They have an efficient way of ordering at the counter and they call your name when your order is ready. 3.5/5 We came on a Sunday around 11am and this place was very busy. Two of our sandwiches came out quickly (within 10 minutes) and the other two took about 35 min. They were out of most of their bagels by the time we got there. We ordered: The Ricky Bobby - was very good, probably the best thing we had. Was supposed to come on a bagel, but my friend had to get it on sourdough instead. It was good regardless. Austin's special - This was pretty much just eggs on a bagel. Nothing special, but not bad. It might've been better but it was nerfed by the fact that that I had to have it on a wheat bagel and that I asked for no sausage. The sauce had very little flavor, I had to add my own salt, ketchup, and hot sauce. Probably would have needed more acid even if I got it without the modifications. Spinach and feta croissant - Not great. The croissant was not light or fluffy and the filling lacked flavor. Not much feta despite the name. Raspberry and cream danish and cinnamon roll- We could have gotten something similar at Costco or a grocery store bakery. My friends got coffee which they said was very good, some of the best they've had in the area. I can see this place being good, but you have to come early or on an off day to have access to the full menu and avoid long wait times. Otherwise you will have a middling experience. So good we went three times in two days. They have indoor and outdoor seating and ample parking around the store. Service was quick and staff kind. They additionally have to go breads, cookies and muffins. I have never heard of a bialy but now I need to find a way to get them shipped home to Charleston. It ate lighter than a bagel but with all the same flavor and texture. The breakfast sandwich cannot be missed with fresh ingredients but get it on the everything bialy. We got a variety of baked goods including the donut holes, dossant, black and white cookie and coffee cake + blueberry muffins. All were great with the coffee cake muffin and black and white cookie being our favorites. We also loved the iced coffees. Best part? The prices! This is a nice little bakery on the surfside beach. We came here after catching the sunrise at the beach to get some breakfast and coffee. It was a cold morning during the offseason, so it was practically empty. The staff was friendly. We got two bagel breakfast sandwiches and a couple of coffees. The coffee was good; the bagels were slightly over-toasted, but not a big deal. Indoor seating is tight but cozy. They also have a section for treats for your pooch, which was a nice addition. They also sell bread, coffee beans, and some merchandise. Stopped here twice on my trip to see my parents. First time had a bacon eggs and cheese on a jalapeño cheddar bagel. Second time switched out the bacon with ham and both were really good. What a lovely little deli, bakery, and coffee shop in Surfside Beach, NC. It's about a mile from the beachfront, and we enjoyed walking to it two different mornings. There is always a line, but the staff is super friendly and organized. I was impressed with how quickly they moved through the orders, especially on Mother's Day morning. I'm not a coffee drinker, but they make an amazing iced chai, and my husband did enjoy their cold brew coffee. We had these with different baked goods, and the lox bagel sandwich. Their apple fritter is a little different than what I'm used to, a little more cakey, but it was yummy. I also enjoyed a lemon cranberry scone on our second visit that was well done. A MUST-GO SPOT!!! Had the greatest experience here. Came in 10 mins before close and the staff was so welcoming and friendly; they had no problem serving us so close to their closing time. The chocolate chip cookie was the BEST I'VE EVER HAD. My mom agrees. So good I had to buy more! My sandwich came with bagel chips and choice of another side. After we finished our yummy meals, the owner came over and checked in on us!! He filled up our drinks and chatted with us for a few minutes. I can't say enough great things about Benjamin's! It's a cute little coffee shop/bakery off 3rd Avenue in Surfside Beach. A typical little beach shop with lots of bagel options. There are a few tables both inside and out, and bread/bagels for purchase in various quantities. A giant loaf of bread for $5! There is also a discounted bread and bagel section which was super cool. In addition, homemade dog treats/gift sets for purchase at a great price! I loved how warm and welcoming the entire place was, you will definitely feel right at home here. We dropped in on a Thursday morning in April and it was pretty steady foot traffic. I would venture to say this place packs out during the regular season, but it would be worth the wait. We got our food quickly despite it being kind of busy. We ordered the Morgan's Choice (listed on the online menu as Austin's Choice) and it was SO yummy! The jalapeño red pepper mayo could be put on a shoe and still taste good. We also got a couple of sausage egg and cheese bagel sandwiches on sesame and everything bagels, and a cinnamon sugar with plain cream cheese bagel. The cinnamon sugar could stand to have a little more cinnamon sugar (in my opinion) but that would be my only suggestion. Great prices, big portions. Highly recommend! read more

This is my favorite breakfast spot in surfside and probably Myrtle beach as a whole or anywhere it's just the best. It's a close enough distance to the place my family stays at that I can walk so I usually make an effort to go here at least once whenever I come to visit. It's such a cute spot! There are tables and couches inside and also tables outside although it was a bit too hot to sit outside when I went this year. The decorations inside are cool too there's a bunch of old cameras on the wall. All of the food is so fresh and their pastries and sandwiches and drinks are so good. All of the staff is super nice too and they'll bring your order to you wherever you sit. My favorite thing to get there is the surfside beach sandwhich which is a baguette with egg bacon spinach tomato and avocado and it's so good. I also got a strawberry banana smoothie and a cheese danish that were all delicious. Lines are always long here so be prepared to wait but they move pretty fast and prices are pretty good too. My personal favorite is the blueberry danishes. All of the danishes are really good, probably the best I've ever had. The macarons are also very good. Breakfast sandwich wise, you can't go wrong with whatever you choose. I typically get a sausage, egg, and cheese bagel. Even if it's crowded, they keep the line moving pretty steadily. I love seeing people ride up in their golf carts to get their bakery; it's such a cool little area! Whenever we are staying in the area, we always start our mornings off with Benjamin's. Side note- there is a house in the area that sets up a very elaborate, walk through Christmas light display. If it's the season, check it out! read more

We stay in Murrells Inlet often, and always make it a point to come here for breakfast at least once or twice a week. Sometimes we will grab breakfast and take it to the beach or the marsh bridge. They are the best bagels on the whole grand strand for sure, but also have very solid donuts, breakfast sandwiches, cinnamon rolls, etc. Sometimes there can be a long line to get food, if you come at peak times, but it usually moves pretty fast. We placed our order around 10 a.m. (8/3/25) and got a Surfside Beach sandwich, a plain bagel with blueberry cream cheese, a raspberry-filled paczki, five macaroons, and a raspberry danish. The wait was about 15 minutes after the order was placed. When we received our bag, it only included the Surfside Beach sandwich, the plain bagel, and the danish...missing both the paczki and all five macaroons. Thankfully, the staff was kind and provided the missing items when we pointed it out. However, once we were back on the road, we realized the danish was never actually in the bag after all. It was confusing because out of the five items we originally ordered, we only received two at first. Also, when I went to ask about our the raspberry-filled paczki, they had run out and substituted it with a Bavarian cream one. Bummer. The food itself was delicious, but the order handling was disorganized. We understand it can get hectic during busy hours, and we weren't upset...just a little puzzled as to how three items got missed.
