Best Thai restaurant! Here's why... Quality of food: excellent! Fresh, varied, appropriately seasoned and spiced. I've eaten at many Thai restaurants... It is my favorite food. This one tastes the best! Service: Always above average. The only time that service is a bit slow is at their busiest peak times (seems Fri night might be worst), but they are clearly trying their best to make customers happy. We usually eat there but have ordered to go, call ahead, it will be ready in 10 minutes and portions are as large or larger than dining in and still taste great. Here are my favorites: -Lunch specials are a great deal. Their small salad that they start you with has a simple basil/mint homemade dressing that is awesome; sometimes they serve a small bowl of soup instead- it's good, too. -Mama phad -Phad Thai (I think they have the best) - Lemmon grass chicken -Penang curry - for apps- best is crab wontons (wrapped fresh there), but the egg rolls (fresh or fried), satay and larb gai are good, too I've been to many Thai places in many different cities. We have been going to Benjarong for a few years. I have had a number of things from their menu and they all have been very good. Last night I found my new favorite dish. Golden noodles! Yum! The yellow curry is SO good! We took a newcomer to Thai food last night and he loved it. The menu was easy for him to understand and it explained every dish, so he could make an informed decision. Good. Good. Good. We got three dinners - one pad Thai and 2 Thai fried rice. I didn't try the pad Thai but was told it was very good. I did have the Thai fried rice with chicken and it was very tasty. The portion sizes were huge. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and the rice was yum! We love B-Thai! The flavors are always amazing as well as the service. I just wish they were a little more consistent on the spice. When we order for the family we always ask for 3 stars and end up getting 0 to 4 stars. I love the Pad See Ew, Golden noodles, and Panang curry. read more

After my last visit, after I got served pieces of chicken in my supposedly "Vegetarian" fried rice, I realized their kitchen quality needs to improve massively if I need to go back. Paying these prices for that kind of quality is not worth it. Am not going back there anytime soon. read more

I, personally, LOVED this place. We stopped here for dinner on the way to Leavenworth for the weekend and I was pleasantly surprised with our choice. The food was flavorful and delicious, the service friendly and attentive, and the ambiance not bad (though our view of cargo boxes out the window was less than ideal). I ordered this red curry brown rice fried rice (can't recall the name; it was the only fried rice option with brown rice rather than jasmine rice) and was so impressed. With an added order of cashews, this was the best Thai fried rice I've ever had. It was the perfect amount of fried, with that crunchiness you expect from rice chilling in a hot skillet, rich in flavor and savoryness, and the veggies were super fresh. My bf ordered the red curry and he actually didn't like it. I tried it and loved it. He's picky, so we'll chalk it up to that. They are friendly and ALWAYS busy but honestly, the food is not good at all. They run out of fresh rolls usually. The food really Is subpar. I feel bad for giving 2-stars because the food quality is really about a 1-star, but the staff/dining experience was so nice. The Thai iced tea is good here. I'm no Thai expert, but I have been on a Thai kick lately and this place was disappointing. They had my pick-up lunch ready in a timely manner but the spicy beef had a funky look to it. Maybe it was the cut of meat, or the sauce on it, but because of the look and texture, I couldn't eat it. It didn't taste like beef. The vegetables were slightly undercooked. Pad Thai was dry, but I liked the peanuts and scallions on top. The restaurant looked pretty clean and tidy but, I did take-out so I wasn't in there long. Kind of disappointed because it has a 4.5 star rating and it's definitely not that great. Maybe for folks who live in town and don't have many other Thai places to compare it to... I gave Benjarong 5 stars and although I don't think it would make 5 stars in Seattle for Monroe it's like a 10 star place :) Actually their food is some of the better Thai food I have had and I am never disappointed. I stopped at Benjarong on my way back home after a weekend in the woods. At first glance at the menu the dishes seemed a bit on the pricey side (10.49 and up for entrees). However after glancing around at some of the other tables, I noticed that the portions were large which was good because I was ravenous. I ordered the Thai BBQ Chicken which was advertised on the menu as a half a marinated and grilled chicken. What came out was a whole cornish hen marinated in turmeric and lemongrass then butterflied and grilled to perfection. Quite tasty. I also appreciated that they had brown rice as an option and it didn't cost any more than the included side of white rice. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for decent grub in Monroe. read more

We have tried quite a few Thai restaurants and this one ranks as our favorite. The food is always great, the service excellent, and the prices are reasonable. The spiciness has been pretty consistent - when we ask for 2 or 3 stars it is the pretty much the same from visit to visit. I have been to other Thai restaurants where you never knew what you would get when asking for 3 stars- some days it was no heat and other times it blew your head off it was so hot. And yet, their food is nothing short of amazing even if they occasionally get chili- happy and sprinkle that stuff like snowflakes, so liberally that your 2 stars sometimes may taste like 5 stars, or a gun powder, but who cares?! Benjarong routinely wins best restaurant in Monroe. I'd say it's a toss up between them and Bella Balducci. Parking can be difficult (unless you know about the parking downstairs around the back of the building). Every time I go in here, the staff greets me. Service always is prompt. The food always is fresh. I like my curry with fresh Thai chilis and they always accommodate me. The menu selection is excellent; a full spectrum of Thai cuisine. Surprising for little Monroe. Better than many of the Thai places in Redmond (and I've eaten at most all of them). Prices are right where they should be. If you're headed up Highway 2 and you feel like Thai food, this is the place to stop. read more

I recently went in to Benjarong for take out. We haven't had any take out since the COVID-19. I was VERY impressed with them. They had the door open so you didn't need to touch it. There was plastic between you and them, they were all wearing masks and gloves. The pens were out for one use then you placed them in the dirty bin. I love coming here for their Larb and their curry dishes are delightful. The parking lot is a bear to find parking or maneuver around in. Even getting into the parking lot is an adventure to say the least. This usually deters my husband I from visiting more often. Though this is the closest Thai food to our house, we usually go to Snohomish for easier maneuverability, unless we are calling ahead for pick up. read more
