Wish we could give this place negative stars. We had dinner here with a group of about 20 people, including several kids, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The restrooms had a strong, unpleasant odor and did not appear to be well maintained. The tandoor items were stale, with meat that was hard, dry, and overcooked. The Kabuli naan was undercooked, and both the naan and Malabar paratha looked like frozen, store-bought products that weren't even cooked properly. The tandoori paneer tasted like it was coated almost entirely in food coloring, with little to no flavor. Overall, the food quality was far below expectations, and this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences we've had in the Seattle area. read more

I just cannot get enough of this place. Their food is consistently accurate with each dish I have tried. I like the tiki masala. My favorite is split between the chicken curry or butter chicken. Their rosemary and garlic naan is perfect combo, with sooo many of thier dishes. Authentic Indian cuisine. 5 x stars These guys are trying so hard to keep themselves open. My husband and I have been in twice and both times, it was a great experience. The portions are generous and the spice is on point. If you like non spicy or spicy food, they will get you what want. As always, the food was excellent. I was here for a takeout order and was greeted promptly. I tried the Mango Tikka Masala this time. Yum. The mango lends just a touch of sweetness to this dish. Also ordered the classic Butter Chicken. Crazy good. Do yourself a favor and order the Ghobi 65 from the Appetizer menu. Who knew cauliflower could be so tasty? Everything was beyond good from the appetizer and garlic naan through the entrees. I waited in the restaurant while my food was being prepared and was very comfortable on a warmish afternoon. The person who took my order thoughtfully brought me a glass of ice water that was very much appreciated. It's those little thoughtful gestures that really make a big difference to an experience. It's amazing to have found an Indian restaurant in a city like Monroe and Kadhai Indian Cuisine is a pretty good one. You can find it right on Main Street too! I came here with a group of friends because we were looking for places to eat and Kadhai had just recently opened so we decided to try it. We ordered Garlic Naan, Butter Chicken, Chicken Biryani, and another dish that I can't remember. All of the dishes were flavorful and up to par with what I've had at other Indian restaurants. The quality was good and portions were plentiful. I must say the prices are a bit steeper than what I'm used to, but I'm sure it's because of the area. The staff were super kind and helpful. I had been going here since it had opened and since the original ownership had changed (I had probably been at least 15 times prior to ownership changing), the quality of everything about this place decreased heavily. The service back in 2024 was amazing! Everyone was so welcoming with a smile on their face every time I returned and brought them my friends to try Indian food for the first time and not once had there been a bad experience there. Now, since about 2025, everything changed. Nothing on the menu tastes as amazing as it had before, the service is now mediocre, and it just really sucks that I will never have the experience I once had with this place. Now, don't get me wrong; the food here now isn't anywhere near revolting or anything like that, but it's still definitely not even close to the original all-around amazing experience I once had. The absolute BEST restaurant service we have ever had in our lives. We came here on a Monday night. Free kids chicken nuggets and French fries every Monday and $7 cocktails with a huge list to choose from. The accommodation for our two young toddlers was unmatched! They brought their food our first to keep them busy, the bartender made them "fancy waters" (water and grenadine), interacted with them several times, and even split their blueberry lassie into two toddler cups without us asking them to do so. I have never felt so welcomed dining out with my toddlers. My 3 year old even said, "HE IS SO NICE!" as our server walked away. Our food was delicious! We ordered the tandoori chicken, paneer butter masala, garlic naan, and the pickle side dish. From the bar we had 2 tap beers and 2 cocktails. We ordered a lassie and some rice pudding for dessert. The kids each got their own order of nuggets and fries. Total was $97 before tip. Everything was so flavorful. My husband and I had pretty much a full meal of leftovers after eating dinner (besides rice which our toddlers ate). They even gave us extra rice to take home to complete our meal. I only ever ordered butter chicken from Indian restaurants because I was unsure if I would like anything else. My husband and I found this restaurant and decided to order a bunch of new foods to try. Honestly, everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! Of course, I included the classic butter chicken, which was just as delicious as I remembered, but everything else was just as amazing! The best (and only) Indian food in Monroe! I could see this place quickly becoming a Monroe staple. Located right in downtown on Main Street. There's plenty of free street parking. We had a lovely dinner trying various dishes here on a Sunday evening. We tried: Vegetable Samosas Samosa Chat Butter Chicken Chicken Curry Naan (Buttered) Mango Lassi Masala Chai My favorite was the Vegetable Samosas, Butter Chicken, and Naan. Heads up that the chicken curry has a spice kick to it! There are lots of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options on the menu. Sarah was our waitress. She was very friendly, informative when we had questions, a prompt with service. The space has plenty of seating with a mix of tables, half booths, and seating at the bar. Before coming I didn't think I liked Indian food. Now I know I just needed to try quality Indian food. This is hands down the best Indian food I've had in ages. All the dishes feel home-made. I appreciate that they use fresh vegetables in their cooking. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the prices are reasonable. As others have commented, the spice is for real. If that's not your thing let them know and they'll tone it down. But don't. It's not hot-for-hot-sake, it's a medly of beautiful flavors that enhance your experience. If I have any negative, I wish their tap list was more creative. What looks like a non-descript hole in the wall that you would never enter is perhaps the best and most authentic Indian food this side of the Ganges. It appears to be an updated old saloon inside and certainly not recognizable as an Indian restaurant. No cheap decor, yellowed linoleum, glaring lights, Bollywood movies or cricket matches. The food focus is both Punjabi and some South Indian dishes. The vindaloo is excellent as are the biryani's. My one complaint is the escalating prices... $5 for a single nan or roti. Ouch. read more

Roti was made to order, flaky and delicious for scooping up sauce and rice. Vindaloo sauce was perfectly seasoned and spiced (medium). I love goat but will probably pick another meat next time. Just a lot of bones to eat around. Panner Biryani was delicious! The paneer was soft and moist just enough sauce and vegetables to make this a whole meal by itself. I admit, I have a very selfish reason for this review - I want them to succeed. I have been eating Indian food in and around Seattle going on 4 decades, and been to India, and this is the best food I've had anywhere in terms of how beautifully they bring the spice flavors out. When we first started going there, they were having issues with timing of Door Dash orders, I hope they sorted that, but the in-house dining experience is without issue, and I've always had the owner as my waiter. The ambience is rather clean modern, they didn't bling it out with Indian motifs and if anything, I wish they would ditch the TVs or move them to the back. One night we were there they had a singer, and I found that intrusive and unnecessary because I'd rather talk to the people I'm eating with, but the singer was good. read more

We visited Kadhai yesterday night and had a great time. They have numerous beers on tap, and service was great. Here is what we would recommend based on the things we personally had: - The chicken 65 biryani is basically god tier. First of all it's a giant pile of food, you could absolutely effortlessly feed two people on it. And just so delicious. - The garlic naan is delightful and well made. - The mango lassi is really great and they serve it in to-go cups too. - The butter chicken was fantastic. I'm quite perplexed, as this place has so many great reviews and I was very excited to try it. I love Indian food, have been to India and seek out new Indian restaurants. The naan (see picture) looked nothing like the photos in other reviews. In fact, it looked like it was straight out of a freezer pack. The chicken in our dish was dry and overcooked. Ordered from here twice now, trying out different things and both times the food was mediocre at best, the samosas were ok - too spicy to even taste the flavor. The chana masala was very tomato forward and chunky - not as smooth as I prefer. The chicken Tikka masala was average - chicken was dry and overcooked. On top of it I unfortunately can't handle a ton of heat I recognize that and every time I've ordered the "mild" I've gotten a spice level thats gotta be a 3 or 4/5, I mean I full on break a sweat- way, too spicy for my taste - so beware! read more
