Mar Phim does not disappoint. Located in the Safeway shopping center there is lots of parking. Flavor and service is very consistent. 10/10 on both. Very friendly, polite and accommodating . Eat in or take out is available. I eat here at least once every time I visit Marysville. You won't be disappointed! I recommend the pad Thai, pad see yew and Thai coffee. Headed to the movies on New Year's Day and looking for a place that open. I happed by Mae Phim and had a great experience. I always have Chicken Phad Thai when I try a place for the first time. Very serviceable, interesting twist with cabbage, not bean sprouts for the crunch along with the peanuts. Nice service and clean interior. Will try something more adventurous next time! read more

On Sunday, my husband and I wanted to have lunch was looking for a place to have Pho, most places were closed, however. I happen upon Mae Phim. They didn't have far that I could see however we both like Thai and decided to check them out.. It was definitely a bad weather day, so I believe it kept most people in. We showed up at the restaurant and nobody else was there which was unusual because I used to do delivery driving and they were always hopping with customers and orders were going crazy for delivery. We were greeted by a gentleman by the name of Sam. He was very nice and wonderful to talk to. He gave us a minute to look at the menu and we ordered fried rice with pork and I ordered chicken pad Thai. The food did not take long at all and my husband and Sam spoke for a good 10 to 12 minutes and by the time the conversation was over, our food had arrived. My husband absolutely loves hot food and he will order most Asian dishes with five star heat. Me not so much I ordered two star heat. The food was fresh. It tasted very good and would definitely go back for Thai food. They have a pretty good size menu with a lot of different options. We sat in the front of the restaurant where we could see out to the parking lot of Safeway Gas Station. And just as we were leaving other folks were coming in. I know they've been here at least five years so I know they've been here for a while. I'm not sure if Sam owns the business or if he just works there but he's very nice. For two meals and water it was $31 that included tax we tipped 20%. I believe the food was reasonable based on what we received and we have spent a lot more for lunch in Marysville. Every time I come to the restaurant and order food, it takes him anywhere between a half hour and 45 minutes to prepare my meal. I've also ordered it through DoorDash and have the same results where the driver has to wait anywhere between 15 minutes to a half hour to pick up my meal. The service is extremely slow and the owner is extremely rude! I tried talking to him and he has a tendency to dismiss my concerns. I would highly recommend that you not patronize this restaurant. I've had lunch and dinner here many years ago before Covid and I just forgot to review it. A lot has changed since. I'm not going to lie, the place has gotten a bit run down. The restaurant when you first walk in looks like a storage place with things stored at different corners. The middle of the restaurant had chairs scattered and tables with cleaning supplies all over. The bathroom was a bit dirty as well, but you can tell they tried to clean it. Let's get to the food. We ordered beef Panang curry, pork pad prik and Thai chicken fried rice. The fried rice was very good and the pad prik was very tasty. I usually ask for the the fried rice to be not so sweet because Thai fried rice are usually on the sweeter side. The panang curry was also good, but my only complaint about it is the beef. They used stewing beef rather than sliced beef. It was huge chunks that were about 2inch x 2 inch (a mini Rubik's cube). Not only that made it chewy, but hard to bite of as well. I had to ask for a knife to cut it some more. Another thing is, I hate that you have to pay for rice separately from the entree. I wish it just came with a side of rice just like every where else. The service was great. The guys at the front were nice and the lady that cooked the meal was nice. She came out and asked if we were doing fine. Note* Thai food are usually on the sweeter side especially with fried rice and pad Thai. If you don't like sweet, make sure you request it to be not so sweet. read more

I stopped here for lunch after a work meeting. The restaurant is located in a strip mall near a gas station. Parking was busy due to the other businesses in the area but there spaces available. The interior of the restaurant is a mixture of pride in Thailand and mom-and-pop, put-it-anywhere-it-fits. Newspaper articles and printouts of the daily specials adorn the windows. The booths have seen better days. But the man and woman, who I assume to be husband and wife, were friendly and attentive with water and checking in on us. I assume that the reason why it was so empty is because it's on the pricier side for a Marysville lunch. Coming from Seattle, it was a CRAZY good deal for my lunch special, which included pad Thai, cashew nut chicken, rice, a sweet and sour-ish soup, and an egg roll. My husband had to help me eat it all. Outside of the lunch specials, most of the items (but not all) have lunch and dinner prices. My husband asked for the lunch portion of the green curry and was discouraged by the server based on portion size. He ordered the dinner portion instead and it came in a large bowl. I think the lunch portion would have been fine. The food was flavorful. I always try pad Thai first at any new Thai restaurants try. I was stoked that the lunch plate came with it. I read a complaint in the reviews that it was too sweet, but it was fine for my taste. It was missing a lime wedge and some bean sprouts but came with crushed peanuts and green onions. The cashew nut chicken was addictive. The medley of veggies that came with it was perfectly cooked. The green curry was also tasty, as was the mango and sticky rice and my Thai tea. Marysville has a gem here and I hope the mostly empty dining room wasn't the norm. When I'm back in the area, this would be a strong consideration for a return visit. read more

We ordered pickup this evening from Mae Phim. This actually had been the go-to Thai restaurant whenever we crave for thai food but the quality I thought was going down. I'd go to any thai place and most of the time it's good nowadays. 20 years ago especially Marysville not so much. So this restaurant was a great addition to our neighborhood. After avoiding this restaurant for a while, we finally decided to try again. And it was a great decision because the food was really good that all 3 dishes, phad see ew, beef Thai fried rice, Panang curry, were almost all gone. More vegetables and protein than used to be. Great flavor but less spicy than other Thai places. I'll choose hot instead of medium next time. This gem is back on our go-to list. Delicious and the BEST Tom Kha Soup is Amazing. We usually order for delivery but decided to go in person. It's a very dated decor and met the Owner who was so friendly (Sam). The food came to the table hot, delicious and generous portions. We ordered fresh rolls, Tom Kha Soup, - big bowl, Beef salad - Crying Tiger and Pad See Ew Noodles. I love Thai food! Mae Phim's owners also working in the restaurant, are so welcoming! It has been sometime since i have been here, but the food always brings me back to thailand! The calamari is always a good starter. Perfectly (lightly) breaded and fried to perfection. Always comes out tender and delish. The papaya salad is also delish! Fresh ingredients with the perfect spice - a little citrusy and hot, just the way a papaya salad should be. My daughter loves the garlic chicken. It is good, but a little on the sweet side for me. If i ordered it for me, i would probably add some spiciness (3 star) to balance the sweetness. My favorite dish when i visit this place though, is the fried duck in curry! Oh so yummy! read more

The pad Thai was even more expensive and to add chicken was another $5. I get that delivery makes restaurants automatically charge a premium but really? Your curry is only &l$15 if I eat in your restaurant and I'm sure it comes with the rice required to eat curry. If I dine in you have to serve me drinks, clean up and still have to give me take out boxes. $67.00 for take out. one order of curry, one pad Thai (sans protein) and the rice I was required to buy to use with my 8oz curry is really cheap. Do better. Quality and integrity is important. I can't even email you to share my thoughts. Do better. Give take out orders the care you give your in person patrons.
