He also explained how they only work with manufacturers they know they can get parts for quickly. Who wants to be without a fridge for weeks/months? However this NOT true if you do a google search for repair Frigidaire ice maker flap you will see that it is a 15 min job and since you remove the ice maker from the fridge door you are not on your knees. I think the job was declined because I told the owners wife on my initial call that I had second thoughts on paying over $125 for this simple repair. I actually should not have calked especially after the fiasco I had with trying to get my washer repaired a few years ago... lessen learned will find a more reputable repair shop.
