Long overdue review! Visited here in mid August 2024 and by far BL was our favorite winery. Travis was really tentative, friendly and engaging in conservations. Originally we were a party of 2, last minute we had 2 additional friends join us, and Travis was able to accommodate them. Outside is absolutely gorgeous. Upon arrival there are rows labeled vines, a fountain and additional covered seating area. Inside is cozy and the bathrooms are well decorated. The back patio area was absolutely stunning! As far as the wines, we did not have a single bad tasting wine here. If you're a red wine lover you must visit! We ended up ordering 3 bottles of different years of their Cabernet Sauvignon that are pending delivery (due to Florida weather). They offer other unique experiences and I would have loved to have done including "making your own blend" wine. I'm itching to come back to this winery as it is simply a hidden gem in Calistoga.

Let me tell you the property is absolutely stunning. You enter the property driving through the now bare vineyards as we're still in February. Can't wait to see the difference in spring when vines are in full bloom. I was greeted by their amazing team, both Travis & John, as I entered the tasting room. The space is warm and welcoming. They can accommodate solo tastings, small groups and even larger bridal parties. The property has ample parking for small vehicles, suvs and even the occasional party bus. They offer indoor seating, but the patio looking into the vineyards was totally my vibe! Now let's talk wine! I tasted several wines: * Rosé - of petite Syrah * Chardonnay - which was a fresh treat minus the butter and oak. * Sauvignon Blanc - crisp with a him of lemon and pineapple * Merlot * Maximus - which is a blend, 91% Cab, 3% Syrah, 3% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot * Lynch Family Cab The next time you're in Napa, keep driving up hwy 128 and stop in to see the crew at Bennett Lane. Tell them a Diva sent you! Cheers

Small winery that's incredibly cozy. We came in the winter, but I'll definitely have to come in the summer to enjoy the outdoor seating. Ezra was wonderful! He was personable and gave us great information. This winery is also walk in friendly. I enjoyed all the wines we had and the play on Roman history was cool.

Create your own unique blend of wine! We participated in a private, wine-blending experience plus cellar tour and had a fantastic time! Not only did we enjoy sampling a number of estate wines, we also had the privilege of concocting our own! After a walking tour of the cellar and grounds, we approached our "workstation," which was outfitted with the winery-equivalent of a high school chemistry lab! We set to our industrious task of measuring various blends of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot, sampling generously and pairing with various nibbles from the accompanied charcuterie board. At the end of our lesson, we both selected our favorite combinations and bottled our own preferred blends! Would definitely recommend if you are seeking something 'different' to do in wine country. It was a lovely, interactive experience and a very playful variation on your typical tasting!

Great views. Great wine. Great team. Hidden gem in Calistoga. Beautiful drive in. Must stop by if and when you go to Calistoga. The Maximus white and the Syrah are some great picks

One last stop before we headed back home into SF. It was raining that day so we were looking for a place that we could stay dry but still bring our pup. We were seated outside in the patio but they turned on the heaters and the awning covered us nicely so we didn't get rained on at all. We went with the regular tasting and the wines were pretty good. The host was great and super friendly. He even brought some milk bones for one dog

We did their wine tasting and it was so amazing. It's so beautiful outside and inside the venue. Definitely recommend.

Romeo holds a special place in our hearts because we visited them a little over seven years ago. During that experience (which you can read about in my previous review - if interested), my wife and I had a grand experience with former Business Manager Emma, who administered the delicious tastings. Fast forward to the present, we looked forward to enjoying a glass of their finest red before finding lunch. Upon entering the walkway, we were enthusiastically greeted by an employee named John who quickly ushered us to a vacant table for two. My wife had a slight reaction to the beautiful flowers that were in full bloom. Out of the kindness of his heart, John provided my wife with a bottle of Pure Leaf tea that calmed her allergies. We told John that we were interested in enjoying a glass of red, in which he quickly ran off and returned with a bottle of 2009 Eugenia Cabernet Sauvignon. Upon doing the swirl and sniff test (sounds dirty doesn't it?), I knew that we were in for a treat. Since we were both in dire need of a meal, we sadly could not continue the party. However, we will make a return visit in the near future to enjoy a full tasting experience!

They were already closed for the day, but Jarred was kind enough to let us have a seat in the patio and a few sips. He was incredible, and gave us a lovely experience for the few moments we spent there. I would use the word "cozy" to describe this location -- perfect for couples or groups to enjoy. It's got a very homey and intimate vibe, which I have to say I sometimes prefer to the large mansion/castle wineries. I definitely would love to return for the full tasting, although the detour was enough for me to purchase a bottle of their Rosé, and my friend was very close to buying the Muscat, both of which I recommend.

We made a reservation the day before and were able to sit out in the back patio area. They contacted us beforehand to see if we had any preferences or requests for wine tastings. Even my boyfriend, who is not a wine drinker and was dreading the tasting, said he enjoyed 5/6 of the wines we tried (big win!) We spent a couple hours here and we were sad when it was over, it was the perfect start to our day in Calistoga!

A cozy tasting room, with intimate seating and a really fun selection of wine unlike anything I've ever had. I see a couple of reviews here complaining about party size limits and the timing of final tastings. I unfortunately witnessed the same level of entitlement from a group of 13 people who came in asking to be seated 45 min before closing. First, read the web site. Tasting room rules and requirements have been changing since COVID. This should be nothing new. It was kindly explained to the large group that the tasting room was full, that they only accept small parties, and the last tasting is at 4 pm. Once, that detail was explained to one person in the group, another would ask the same questions and would receive the same answer. Hannah politely declined THREE DIFFERENT PEOPLE in the group before their final entitled and 'intimidating tactic': asking Hannah or Alyssa if they were the owners (they are not). The woman declared "we're all business owners and we wouldn't turn away a party of 13 people that could bring money into our business". Good for you, 'Susan'! Tank employees are purely following their business policy, which is clearly stated on their web site and don't run your business. Her final intimidation tactic was to ask for the owner's information-- which she didn't take--and the group finally left. Good riddance. Tank is NOT the winery for you, Other than the experience of yet another group of entitled wypipo ruining the tasting experience of those of us already there, we had a wonderful experience, bought a membership, and will be back again. This is the atmosphere and environment that my partner and I enjoy with the types of kind and knowledgeable employees we love who will smile through all types of garbage shoveled at them with no problem. If folks complaining about arbitrary things had othered to look at the website for specifics, perhaps they'd move on instead of trying to intimidate their way into another situation

It was around 5pm on a Thursday and we were the only ones around. The tasting cost $40 for 6 pours, starting with a rose and ending with a Cabernet Sauvignon. I was talking to the owner and he mentioned that he prefers to be out making wine instead of pouring and I can see that. Also, the pours were very tiny. There was not much information shared about the wine etc, he left the bottle with the information side turned towards you to read up on your own. The place itself is beautiful and it used to be a hardware store. It's right next to the city hall and across the street from the police station.
