We always love Romeo! The gardens are stunning - their selection of wines is delicious (they even have a rose of Petit Verdot that I love, and I have only ever seen there). We love to enjoy the wines and the company and see live music on the patio, but also like when it's cold and rainy and we get to enjoy the beautiful cozy room in the back. Christine, John, Peter and Mary are always amazing. Still one of our favorite places to go in town, and take friends and family to when they come to visit. The post 4th of July parade pretty epic too!

My girlfriends and I go on an annual trip to Calistoga for some r&r. This time, we stopped into Romeo to wine taste on their beautiful patio among the tall trees. John let us in and treated us to a wonderful experience. It was so much fun, informative on the wines, and every wine we sampled was delicious. I highly recommend stopping in to see John and enjoy some delicious wine.

We had the most amazing time at Romeo Vineyards' tasting room! The atmosphere was beautiful and relaxed -- live music set the perfect tone, and the staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. Each wine we tried was exceptional, especially the reds -- rich, smooth, and full of character. The outdoor seating under the trees made it feel like a little hidden gem in the heart of wine country. It's the kind of place you could sit and sip all afternoon. Between the incredible wine, great vibes, and live music, this was easily one of the best tasting experiences I've had. Can't wait to go back!

Absolutely beautiful seating and tables in their garden. While this is located off a Main Street, while you are there it feels like you are tucked into a serene little garden. We ended up opting out of our tasting and bought a few bottles to try instead! Whatever we didn't finished was recorked and we could bring it home to finish. I throughly enjoyed every bottle we tried. The rose was crisp with just a hint of sweetness. My personal favorite was the Muscat Canelli as I love crisp and refreshing whites! The lychee and pear pairing was delicious in this wine. We ended our patio session with some old vine cab sav and it was another home run. We absolutely enjoyed every wine we tasted and it was great to take a little extra home (even if there wasn't much left).

Came here in October over Halloween weekend and was so pleasantly taken aback with the excellent service and kindness of the staff! Despite preparing for a wine club member event, they allowed me and my friend to get a glass of wine and enjoy the Halloween and autumn vibes! The Sauvignon blanc was so crisp and refreshing. Plus, the ambience of beautiful trees and decor around was on point. I would definitely come back again!

Blown away by this gem! I made a tasting reservation the morning of and was able to get a slot for that same afternoon. I did the $30 garden flight tasting plus the cheese board for an additional $30 and enjoyed everything! The selection of wines and cheeses were divine, our two hosts were welcoming, friendly, and informative of our selections. I spent a little over one hour here enjoying my experience. The ambiance was quiet and aesthetically pleasing, surrounded by lots of greenery and a sense of seclusion. Prime location, short walking distance from town!

The most pleasant patio, almost fully shaded with sparkles of sunshine making its way through the dense tree cover. We sat for a few hours and just reveled in the elegance of the setting while enjoying the garden tasting menu. A place that feels special even the first time, an instant tradition.

On a Friday, by way of the east bay, we made our way to Sterling Vineyards. Parking is ample. Check in is at the front upon entering along with the gondola and a shared restroom with individual stalls. While checking in for our chosen experience, we received our drink rings and tasting menu. The gondola is to left of check in, where we proceeded to after using the restroom (to the left of the gondola entrance). The gondola experience was quiet, smooth and scenic. At the gondola's end is the entrance to Sterling Vineyards. You are met with breathtaking views and vintage bells that ring every 15 minutes. The current gondola is the third installation since the vineyards opening. The installation occurred following the fires in 2020 that burned majority of the vineyard and its estate. At the first tasting, you receive your glass for majority of the tour. Here is where the ring received at check in goes on the stem of your glass. The gentlemen at this station are incredibly funny and was a treat to engage with. The older gentleman sung to Ashanti's sister for her birthday along with Zach Bryan. I'll be back for the oyster event in August, told him I'd like a song for my birthday - he said he'd be there. Can't wait! Wish I got his name...you know who you are! The tasting tour is self guided. Our experience was a tasting of six with the first three wines provided while walking, the last three were provided on the terrace with our charcuterie. Diego was the absolute best. He shared a lot of himself in the experience which I welcomed, he truly personalized our experience allowing it to be more authentic than business orientated. STERLING PLEASE START TO BOTTLE AND SELL THE BLOOD ORANGE HOUSEMADE JAM...PUHLEEZZZZZZ!!!! Kudos to the new chef, hers or his ingenuity is brilliant. We did not want the jam to end. The blood orange housemade jam is a sweet citrusy, blood orange jam with heat. It is the perfect ying yang pairing for anything and everything. Seriously! I'm SO EXCITED to see what else the amazing, newest chef of Sterling Vineyards has to offer...I'm ready to indulge in your imagination on a plate. Need a volunteer tester...I'm her!!! At the end of the tour (where the first tasting began), is a set of stairs directly in front. The stairs led to the Wine Gift Shop where there were wines, candles, cutting boards, assorted glassware, travel mugs in an assortment, edible goods, candies, tasting rooms, water fountain and restrooms. Here is where I signed up for membership with Sterling. The Sterling Vineyards Membership offers four membership tiers ranging in price of $185 to $400 per release. Releases occur five times a year (Feb, Apr, Jun, Oct, Dec) and members are required to honor three of the five release dates per year to maintain membership. Each release is customizable with the exception of a purchased gift membership. Shipments can be shipped for a flat rate ($25) or picked up. Pick ups offer access to ten complimentary tastings (for up to six people) in a tasting room and/or a walking self guided tasting. Birthday, anniversary, girls trip, boys trip, just because (as we did) any reason is a great reason to come, visit, experience the landscape, staff, service, food and winery of Sterling Vineyards.

They were already closed for the day, but Jarred was kind enough to let us have a seat in the patio and a few sips. He was incredible, and gave us a lovely experience for the few moments we spent there. I would use the word "cozy" to describe this location -- perfect for couples or groups to enjoy. It's got a very homey and intimate vibe, which I have to say I sometimes prefer to the large mansion/castle wineries. I definitely would love to return for the full tasting, although the detour was enough for me to purchase a bottle of their Rosé, and my friend was very close to buying the Muscat, both of which I recommend.

It was around 5pm on a Thursday and we were the only ones around. The tasting cost $40 for 6 pours, starting with a rose and ending with a Cabernet Sauvignon. I was talking to the owner and he mentioned that he prefers to be out making wine instead of pouring and I can see that. Also, the pours were very tiny. We had to move the table back and forth left to right and back again to get out of direct blaring sunlight. We mentioned it but were not offered the option to move. The entire tasting was quite rushed with the staff member coming over with the next bottle standing waiting while we finished the second half of each glass hurriedly.
