When everyone else said it could NOT be done.... I had just purchased a three story townhome and was very excited to move my baby grand to its position as center piece in the living room. I contacted Bennett and supplied descriptions of the properties involved as well as my instrument. I knew it would be challenging at the new property as it has 3-90 degree turns and they are NARROW! On moving day, my crew was a few minutes early and they came completely prepared. Super professional and completely adept at the task, my piano was fully disassembled and carefully transported in no time. Arriving at my home, measurements were taken, strategies reviewed, discussions had. It was obvious to even me my piano would not make it up my stair case. NOT TO WORRY! A solution was on the horizon! Bennett to the rescue! A crane was brought in and my piano was lifted over my second story deck and into my home it went! Unbelievable! I needed to move my grandmother's baby grand from her house in Sandy Springs to my house in intown Atlanta after she passed away and I chose Bennett Piano Movers based on the yelp reviews. I was not disappointed. When I called, Sean picked up the phone right away and even offered me a next day appointment. The movers called when they were on their way to pick it up and promptly delivered it. It was handled very carefully by the three men, and James was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. I was not 100% sure of the placement I wanted for the piano, and he gave me tips on moving it without scratching my hardwood floors. He also helped me decide on a position for the piano that would maximize the use of my living room space. My living room is a moderate size, but it has a door on each of the four walls so it was difficult to decide on a good place for the piano that would not block any of the doorways. I was also pleased to hear that they do tuning and restoration (I have another piano that may need to be restored). I would definitely do business with them again! read more

We have 2 upright antique pianos that needed to be moved to our new home because I couldn't convince my husband to get rid of them! I shopped around for movers and went with Bennett because I liked Sean's pizzazz over the phone. Paul, Jim, Marc, and Pat showed up right on time and got them loaded up. At our new house with a VERY steep driveway, they maneuvered the trailer up, and backing in no less. They were so very professional and thoughtful during the move and in the placement of the pianos. They noticed that one of the pianos was going to block an outlet and told us we should get an extension cord plugged in if we were going to need that outlet. One of the pianos had rough feet so they put some felt around them to not scratch the floors. I truly cannot say enough about this team. And they were also really nice guys! I just used Bennet to move a baby grand piano from a resale store to my home. They did a phenomenal job and I highly recommend! I found several recommendations for them via nextdoor but I still comparison shopped with other places. Bennet had the 2nd cheapest price and quoted me a flat rate. The other places either would do it for a much higher premium, nickel & dimed me on the distance, or wanted to deliver 4 days later. The two gentlemen arrived at store before I did, worked with the managers there, pointed out the nicks/scratches I had missed and got right to work! It took the store longer to find my piano then it took the Bennet movers to load it into their truck! My piano was installed into my home within 20 minutes of arrival, and they even placed my floor protectors under each leg for me! I was very impressed by the skill of the Bennett Piano Movers. They know how to move pianos carefully, safely, and at a reasonable price. We were moving a fairly heavy upright piano, and needed to descend a flight of stairs, which could pose a significant risks for the piano and for the movers. An experienced mover expertly laid a series of padded tarps down the center of the stairway, carefully folding it in to leave a safe place for the mover's feet on both sides of each stair. The piano on its dolly was able to slide gently down the tarp with muscle-power from below and a heavy strap from above to limit its speed. We had a rainy day for our move, but the movers had completely wrapped the piano in plastic to keep it dry. A three person team (Chester, Axel, and a third person) did a very professional job from beginning to end. read more

I recently hired Bennett Piano Movers to move my 30 year old upright to our new home. Paul and Jim were awesome, friendly and professional, and took the utmost care of my piano. They communicated constantly with each other through every bump and turn of moving the piano, making sure that it arrived at the new house in the exact condition it had left the old house. I couldn't be happier! To top things off, Paul and Jim were nothing but understanding and kind in dealing with my "helicopter parenting" of my piano. The last time it was moved (by a different company in a different state), the piano was dropped and needed 8 months of extensive structural and internal repair, so I was understandably nervous to be having it moved again. I was planning to get my 9 year old daughter a piano. I didn't know if I get an upright piano or a baby grand piano because our place is on the 2nd floor at a condo building with no elevator. I actually wanted to get a baby grand piano. A guy told me to take some pictures of our condo building and send him. So I did. He asked me some questions and then he told me a baby grand piano should be fit. So we got one. On the moving day, they showed us their amazing job. They took some of the piano parts very carefully, wrapped the piano very neatly, moved it into our place very very carefully and backed the piano up as it should be. We had a very difficult upright piano move...down from the second floor of a townhouse, with two staircases with 90 degree turns mid-stairs and at the top of each! (Don't even ask about the move up there.) We were up-front with Bennett and sent them pictures of all the stairs (for which they were grateful!). Not only were they the lowest quote, but I couldn't be happier with their service. Five guys completely wrapped the piano and got it down the stairs without dinging any walls!! The set up at the new place was much easier (first floor, two stairs to the porch), but the two guys who handled that end still took the time and care to make sure it was positioned exactly like I wanted. Found this company on YELP, great reviews do I called. I received a very affordable price, $300 to $400 less than regular movers who could also move piano.... This guys even sounded shady...again great reasonable price for a Saturday move. Gave the piano pickup address and asked they movers be there no later than 930a .... They beat me to the pick up address! James and his 2 assistants were quick, very efficient we were on our way to my place within 35 minutes. This 2 man crew was absolutely fabulous. A long stairway with a sharp turn at the bottom were navigated beautifully, despite hauling an upright piano. This team had the best trust and communication I've ever witnessed. The true definition of a team by far. I highly recommend Bennett Piano Movers, their professionalism will set you at ease, and their services are well priced. As a side note, when we moved into our home we had traditional movers, who stated they were certified to a move piano. This ended with a foot diameter hole in the wall, moldings scratched up the entire length of the staircase, and scratches on the piano. Today's move - perfection. I am a little late in writing this review. On 5/10/2017 Greg and Michael moved our Baby Grand from East Cobb to our home in Kennesaw. They were amazing and affordable!!!!! They were careful not only with our piano but our home. The two were very personable and friendly. Once they got the piano where we wanted it, they were careful and speedy in getting the piano reassembled, and even fixed the foot pedals that were not attached when they picked it up from the previous home. I would recommend them to anyone needing to move any type of piano. We even had fun guessing what year the piano was built. This is a follow up to a previous review about how Sean saved me and my daughter when movers at the last minute decided they couldn't move my daughters piano on move day last month. Called them at the last minute and they where there the next day to move the piano. Unfortunately, they were unable to get the piano upstairs due to some railing issues. Thankfully, they were able to store the piano for us. And today they successfully moved the piano up 3 flights of stairs, with the railing adjusted, and placed it safely in my daughters apartment. Bennett Piano Movers came through for us in a very difficult time as we were moving the piano of a recently deceased loved one. We had a mix up on our side and could not access the home when we were supposed to meet the movers, and they were more than flexible, allowing us to push the appointment back until later that afternoon. When the two movers arrived, they were friendly, efficient, and careful with the piano. They even made it to the destination before I was able to and worked quickly and carefully to place the piano in its new home. Consider this review a thorough one, as I have used Bennett FOUR times in the past 9 years and have loved the competent service I have received. They have moved my beloved Yamaha grand piano up many stairs, down many stairs, through narrow doorways, into tight spaces and into unconventional spaces. James and his crew always treat the piano as if was precious to them and have never given me a heart-stopping moment of regret (which I HAVE experienced with at least two other movers in the past). The only suggestion I make to you is to get your appointment in early, as these guys have a solid following and may not be able to accommodate you in a short time frame (yep, that happened to me). My wife found these guys to move our upright grand pianos and told me she had a really good feeling after talking to Sean. I rarely hire anybody to do anything because I find that at times I have to redo what I pay for. But these guys, Paul, Marc, Jim, and Pat were simply incredible. They showed up on time, were extremely careful with what they did and exhibited the utmost professionalism. I even tried cutting up with Paul by dropping a few expletives just to get the conversation going and establish a rapport. He engaged fully but never accepted my invitation to talk trash. I called Bennet Piano Movers on a Wednesday morning, not to move a piano but to move a gun safe. Despite the unusual request, they showed up Friday morning and carried the safe to the second floor without so much as a scuff on the hardwoods or walls or safe or anything else. Sean and crew were all well spoken, nice, careful and did an excellent job. Plus, while they were in the middle of moving my safe, my neighbor knocked on the door and insisted they give her a quote for moving her piano in her house. We needed our upright piano moved from a second floor interior storage unit in peachtree corners to a ranch house (still with some entry stairs) in Atlanta and the movers did a perfect job. They were running late due to unforeseen road closures Downtown but they kept me updated constantly and were apologetic (I understand that things happen). They had a great attitude, were very safe and careful with our heirloom piano and adjusted it in our new home until we were perfectly happy with the placement. Great experience with Bennett Piano Movers. Communication was good (text updates on day of move). Our two movers were courteous and professional. They knew what they were doing. I asked them to take care backing out of our driveway because we've had so many trucks run over our landscape lights or break sprinkler heads because it's a little tricky to back down. I watched them take great care backing down having one stand outside to guide the driver. No problems whatsoever and I would recommend to anyone needing to have their piano moved. read more
