This coming from a fan and customer from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, I can sum my review in this one statement, " If I can find a way to get Bennington Auto moved to Greensburg Pennsylvania it would shut down 65% of the local dealers ( including my dads )! If you just want a company to just sell you a car, don't look at Bennington Auto, but if you want a vehicle with old-school classy customers survice, security before, during and after purchase, dependable, honest, and welcoming, Bennington Auto is the place. The most efficient car-buying experience I've ever had! Earlier, I spent three hours at a larger dealership and only managed to test drive two cars. At Bennington Auto, I test drove six cars in just one hour! Brad was a pleasure to work with. He was genuine, knowledgeable, and very patient with my indecisiveness! We ended up buying a Ford 1500 and a Rav 4 at really solid prices for the great condition they were in. We also got a good price for our trade in! 1-18-2020 Well it's been a day or two and I've come back to see if this review disappeared and sure enough it had been moved into the "not currently recommended" section. My review is not spam and I exchanged email with the owner. I looked at Yelp's guidelines and it looks like I followed them so I'm not sure what's going on, but I am sure from this point forward I will be sure to let people know what happened to my yelp review. Me? I won't trust any reviews I see on Yelp going forward as they "edit out" reviews of their choosing. I looked online and found out I'm not the only one that's been excluded (without explanation). Done with Yelp. I contacted the owner (I think his name was Dallas) about a car he had for sale on craigslist quite awhile back. I told him according to Kelly Blue Book it was priced too high. He responded by saying something to the effect that I needed "to buy a car from Kelly Blue Book if I didn't like his price" - very unprofessional response in my opinion since Kelly Blue Book only gives values of cars as a guide. After my experience, I will NEVER do business here. I thought I posted a review already but now I cannot find it. I would recommend keeping an eye on your reviews you post on this business in order to make sure they are not removed - and if they are follow-up. read more

I just got my dream truck at this little gem here in Bennington and I couldn't be more happy with our experience here. The owner Dallas is beyond nice and extremely helpful! They're really down to earth here and we didn't feel pressured in anyway or like they were trying to sell us anything, it was all very laid back. He responded right away with any questions we had and really pushed to help get us into this truck! Our credit isn't the greatest and he worked his magic and got us just what we wanted and got it done super fast! There's a lot of great vehicles on their lot for great prices! They sold us our vehicle for well under market value and it's in fantastic condition. I would definitely recommend checking them out for your next vehicle! I learned a hard and expensive lesson when I purchased a vehicle from this dealership. Broke down 3 times within the first week of owning because Bennington doesn't inspect the vehicles before putting them on the market and then when they offer to "fix the issue" all they do is band aid it. This car is a first loan and I'm going to pay it off as quickly as I can so that I can get into something reliable. Stan was full of excuses and absolutely no help even though he admitted the vehicle was a lemon multiple times. I do not recommend Bennington Auto Sales and encourage all car buyers looking for a reliable vehicle to have the vehicle you are interested in checked by your mechanic before purchase. read more

I have bought and gone through many vehicles. I have never experienced any of this before going to Bennington Auto Sales. I purchased a 09 Chevy Tahoe from them. I told them I heard grinding noises that same day on my back driver side tire. They assured me to bring it in and they would fix it. They love to say, "Don't take it anywhere else, because they are going to charge you an arm and a leg." Which they do. Love to tell me oh it was this much and im eating this much in the cost, which they werent. They fixed on my tire and the very next day my tire came off on my way driving home and I flipped 3xs while being 7 months pregnant. Not only did they not accept accountability, their insurance would not accept accountability. I never had an insurance company not call the victim to investigate. I never heard from the until I received denial letter. Eventhough I had all the evidence they shot me down because I did not have the tire. Which I wasnt given the chance to even try to recover the tire. (Also the same time my husband engine pretty much was going out on his truck. They also vowed to fix it, but to this day it does not run properly.) I vowed not to get another vehicle, but later down that line I gained a new position that conflicted with my husband schedule. Against my better judgement I went through them again and purchased a 07 Chevy Tahoe through them. It was in perfect condition I made sure of that. Every vehicle I get I always flat out do an oil change. Figured hey they can't mess this up it's a simple oil change. I was wrong. Their mechanics forgot to put the oil in my truck so I drove my truck unknowingly over 5k miles. Converter goes out and exhaust needs to be replace. I know for sure I can't afford this. Since it was their fault you think they should cover it. They "fixed" it and gave it back to me. I kept calling them that it did not seem right and it was grinding. So they told me to bring it back. Their mechanic Brady gets in my truck and does donuts for a good 5 minutes to see what the noise is . They put it on the rack and tell me everything is fine. I know everything isn't fine. So I take it back to my old mechanic good ol Walker Tire Auto. I have worked with them for over 5 years. They have always been completely honest with me. (They also told me my husband needed a new engine which bennington refuse to do.) Walker Tire calls me back and not only did BENNINGTON AUTO not fixed my truck they made it worse. They did not put the exhaust that goes to my truck. They cut what I assume different pieces of different exhaust and welded and glued it into my truck. Also what are the odds that my tire was coming off AGAIN! Mechanics at Walker Tire assured me if I drove this truck home my tire would come off yet again like the first truck. I am letting this story be known because 1. I don't want it to happen to anyone else. 2. At some point dealers have to hold accountability for their mechanics. 3. They got away with it the first time. I refuse to let that happen again. If you I would avoid having any work ever done at Bennington Auto Sales shop. *UPDATE* So I finally got my converter and exhaust fixed at my expense. I reached out to Dallas with the recipes seeing if yet again they would do the right thing. Since it was their fault they should of reimbursed me all my money back, but I would of been fine with just half of my money back. Dallas stated because I took to long to get it done they weren't doing anything regarding my claims. I threatened to sue and Dallas proceeds to hit me back that no judge would believe me. Even with having video evidence, proof they did the work, proof from a liable mechanic whose on video stating the fraudulent things they did to scam me out my money. So sad I actually love this car dealership and stood by them and promoted them ever change I got. They have great cars but they allow their mechanics to do short cuts to put money in their pockets. They do not give 2 fucks about their customers safety. read more
