I drive an EV. Desperately needed a charge and was directed to Benny Boyd. Their charger wasn't compatible with my Rivian but they had a Level 1 charger which is very slow. Nick Munoz told me I could leave my car there to charge, his service guy took me to my place of employment, then...they returned at 8:30 pm to pick me up and take me back to my car. Unprofessional, should not be promoting a good car buying experience when they do not. Ran a deal on Facebook that made my husband and I consider buying a car from them. After being told an appointment time we were given the run around by Brad for three hours, did not test drive anything and Brad even told us us would bring the car to us to test out and also told us he would be calling us with an update about our application ( he did not.) This was TUESDAY. I called three times on Wednesday and asked for Brad. Each time I was told by Stacy (who was also rude on the phone each time starting always with "what do you want " ) that brad was busy. Each time we left a message asking him to reach out to us. My husband ended up getting a call from Brad around 6pm and was told "since you are not a walk in and since you're over the phone you're not my priority." Okay... rude. Thursday I called and requested to speak to a manager, I spoke with one and he assured me he would look at my account and confirmed that Brad was looking at the wrong car we wanted... even though we corrected him 5 times in person and over the phone. I was told the manager would be in contact with me. (He was not.) my husband then called and was told the same thing. All we wanted was an update. Friday came around and I spoke to a manager named Danny. He called me back an hour later saying they were still trying to process our app. He did apologize for brad and the run around. Yet he said he would call back ASAP and we heard nothing. Again my husband and I both reached out and heard he was "busy" I ended up going online and talking to customer support. Only to get a text saying " Alyssa, We haven't been able to get an approval for you yet. Sorry we haven't had time to get back to you. It's been extremely busy here with the sale. -Sam @ Benny Boyd." I replied asking how long the approval process should take. Again we didn't hear back.... TODAY (Saturday) I called this morning and ended up leaving a message for Danny. My husband called again hours later and spoke to Steve Russle. Steve assured us he would look into it and call us an hour later at the latest and to call if we hadn't heard from him ( he didn't) my husband called TWICE. Finally we spoke to Steve and he told us that they got the screening back Tuesday and saw something weird (keep in mind he is now the third person to look at the account). I asked why this wasn't mentioned sooner and he had no answer. I also asked if this was why they were ignoring us to which he said they weren't and that they had apparently tried to reach out to me (they had not. Even confirmed my phone number each time I called asking for a call back). Overall these people do not want to do business with you. They didn't even bring the car down for us to test drive. Horrible customer service all around. Do NOT give them your hard earned money. You can get better service anywhere else. I understand they're busy due to the promotion but don't say you're going to call someone and then DONT. Being honest and following through would of kept our business. read more

This truck didn't have a limited slip differential which I need for my line of work. So I called Tim in service. He ordered the parts, told me how much it would be to install a new diff. Weeks later, I have days off. I called Tim, he got me right in. He got the new limited slip differential installed and got my truck back to me in a very timely manner. The work was done right the first time, there were no greasy hand prints on the steering wheel, and when I looked under the truck the rear end was just as clean as it was when I dropped it off. We visited this auto dealer to test drive a used vehicle. People were very nice and friendly but found the process very disjointed. Waiting lengthy time to test drive, different versions of timing of a vehicle returning to test drive, unsure about the details of a vehicle they were selling. Most disappointing was the decline of veteran discount of $500 as criteria was 20 years service (my dads was 12 years 10 months) We felt if someone has served even a year then the discount should be offered. The amount is so low anyhow. Reason provided for decline was it is Chrysler's rule and they could not honor it. Felt that they could not decide on any discount or benefits without going to management multiple times and ended up not getting any offered anyhow. A nice day in Lampassas but bypass stopping here unless you have a least a half a day to give. read more

Disappointed that BB wanted to charge me a fee of $139.00 to hook up my RAM PU to their diagnostic machine to troubleshoot an ABS/Traction Control Light. When other companies do that for free. When I declined to pay that my service adviser made the comment of " I don't make the rules." Maybe you should have said, let me see what I can do. I want my previous service adviser back. Had to come here for extended warranty for my vehicle since benny boyd sells an extended warranty and all service has to be done were you buy it at and the service is awful. Have been here for going on 2 hours for a tire balance, (which they rotated yesterday and falled to balance them and my new car started shaking. I was advised to just lower my air pressure when i called them to report it to my team) And put a warranty part on. I was told it would only take 1 hour and 15 mins. I had to ask why my vehicle has just been sitting in the bay for over 30 mins. Now they are back on it. Someone needs to monitor the service dept. Still here and we are approaching 3 hours. I drove an hour to get an oil change an maintenance on my car. I have made the drive because the maintenance department has always been exceptional. I was shocked to see that the girl who checks in the vehicles was not wearing a mask. I got out of the check in line and called the dealership. I spoke to the manager of the department. He said he would take care of that and that they had many safety precautions they take. they supposedly put plastic on the seat and steering wheel as well as spray it with disinfectant after they service a car. I explained that I had made an appointment and that I cannot be around people who do not were masks. He was quite accommodating and actually let me sit in the conference room since people were not wearing masks in the waiting room and I could not go outside wince it was pouring raining as I had intended.I only saw one customer not wearing a mask. Only about half of the employees in the dealership were wearing masks. I got up to use the restroom and saw the girl who checks in cars wearing a mask. It took 2 hours for my car to be ready. I pay for my service and walk out to my car. There is the girl driving the cars that were finished with service not wearing a mask again. She got in my car without a mask and drove it. I asked her why she didn't wear a mask. She said, "I only wear a mask if a customer tells me to." There was no plastic on my seat or stealing wheel ad she did not have any disinfectant. Texas is still has the following mandate: Every person in Texas shall wear a face covering over the nose and mouth when inside a commercial entity or other building or space open to the public, or when in an outdoor public space, wherever it is not feasible to maintain six feet of social distancing from another person not in the same household read more

We have never had a bad experience, the service is as wonderful as the vehicles. 4 months ago we purchased a tricked out Jeep, one of those he-man over the top OMG wham Jeeps. A couple days ago we were hit by a drunk driver in Michigan. While our Jeep did have damage, the guy that hit us was going in excess of 85 mph, the vehicle kept us safe. They didn't use cheap substandard eye appeal junk for the tricking out, it was Excellent quality or we would be in serious condition right now. Needed to trade my half ton for a new Cummins. Checked their website and found a truck they were doing an end of the year special on. Being jaded from other dealers, I half expected it to be sold or a bait-and-switch. When I called they told me they still had the truck and could run my credit over the phone to save time. They called back a few minutes later to tell me I was approved and confirmed the apr. When I got there, the truck was already pulled up front and washed. I went in and all the numbers were what they should have been. No $500 VIN etching or $1000 sealant scams that other dealers run. Not even 30 minutes later I was on my way. I plan on keeping this truck for a very long time, but if I need another one in the future for whatever reason, it will be from Benny again. *Update* 3/17 I went back in and ordered a new truck last month. It arrived today and Chase and Steve walked me through the process. Truck is exactly what I wanted and they gave me a very fair price on it and my trade ins. Compared to the other Dodge dealers in the area Benny Boyd is head and shoulders above the rest, however, you need to find a way to protect your customers' interiors when you're working on their cars. There's zero good reasons that a customer should get their car back with oily interior handles and the smell of body odor. I realize the techs are hard working and the Texas sun is hot, but there are plastic and paper seat covers available so that their smell isn't permanently embedded in the seats. My drive home after my last visit was insanely disgusting to the point of nearly vomiting in my mouth from having to smell the body odor of the techs that were in my car. We bought a truck from the round rock location a few months ago and just came to the lampasas service center for our first oil change (which is free!). The service was excellent, the workers were kind, courteous, and very professional. We had an 8:00 appt and there was a few cars ahead of us and they got us in and out by 9am. My experience with Benny Boyd was phenomenal. I contacted the Georgetown location on a Friday morning and received a call from the Lampasas location on Saturday afternoon with a deal. At first I was skeptical and wondered how in the world they worked magic as I had presented them with a huge challenge. I was quite desperate to get out of my previous vehicle for multiple reasons. Without calling out other dealers, I will say that my challenges presented many barriers and road blocks along the way. DONT DO IT!!!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!! Okay so this is going to be long.. I bought a used 2013 Cadillac form the marble falls location the beginning of this month. Dee was great! (Dee go some where else girl and I'll buy my next car from you) I haven't even had the car long enough to make the first payment(not even a whole month!) and I have had to take it to them to fix 3 different times. 1st time was a couple of days after I bought it. The telescopic feature on the steering wheel was broke and made a very loud slamming noise if you messed with it at all, one of the rear struts needed replaced (you could clearly hear it) and the check engine light had come on and the car started acting like it was going to die when I came to a stop. So I call the marble falls location and the guy that answers the phone tells me he had drove my car from Waco to the lot and the engine light had come on while he was driving but it went off so he didn't think anything of it.. * are you effing kidding me* so, I dropped the car off at the marble falls location and they gave me a loaner to drive. I had to bring the loaner back 2 days into having it bc they "sold it"(they did give me a different car to drive). I get my car back a day later and come to find out there were 2 leaking fuel lines, rear strut needed replaced and the steering wheel got fixed.(they totally did a complete check on this car before putting it on the lot *eye roll + sarcasm*) so I get to drive my car for a few day until I start hearing a loud clunk coming from the front drivers tire when I stop and sounds like something dripping and burning off under the hood but I couldn't ever see anything on the ground under the car.. so I call and they say I have to drive it to lampasas location (40 miles away from my home) to get it servised because they don't have anyone that can come get it. (Guess they never heard of a tow truck*sarcasm*) so I drive the car all the way over there praying my tire doesn't fall off. They give me a loaner again.. then I have to call them a couple days later to see what's going on and I'm told they can't "recreate" the noise and that the have gone over the entire front suspension and can't find anything wrong and the dripping is the a.c. dripping on the exhaust because they are right by eachother. I go get the car and 30 minutes into the drive I hear the noise from the front tire again. So I talk to my husband and we decide we will take it to a NON benny Boyd mechanic and have them take a look at it.. Well, we didn't make it that far because while driving the car it started making a loud clunking noise (I thought the motor was going to blow up it was so loud) and kept acting like it was going to die. I shut it off and we waited a while then started it back up and it ran like nothing was wrong. No check engine light this time. I called and told them I was bringing it back and what had happened and the noise from the front tire area was still a problem. So I get my car back for the 3rd time and I'm told the throttle body needed to be cleaned out because there was a build up of carbon deposits and the front tire was a "CASTER BOLT LOOSE THIS IS ALLOWING MOVEMENT TO THE LEFT FRONT CONTROL ARM" (but they went over the whole front suspension the 2nd time they had it. *Eye roll*). So I was happy to get my car back and thought.. yay! Maybe now I'll get to keep my new car long enough to figure out what all the cool little buttons on the dash do! WRONG! OOOO WAS I SOOO WRONG! The VERY next day (today) I'm driving and the check engine light comes on yet again... So now I have to wait for them to open in the morning and see when they can take my car for the 4TH TIME IN LESS THAN A MONTH! I'm seriously glad they do a 3 month 3000 mile warranty but I'm afraid my car isn't going to be drivable by the time I hit that 3000 mile warranty mark.. especially when I have to keep diving it 80 miles round trip every time I have to take it to them to fix it! Now.. with all this being said, IF they ever get my car fixed.. for real fixed and I can go a couple of months.. or A month... or maybe even a whole WEEK without something breaking on it I'll update this post to let everyone know. As for now I rate this place a 1 star and that one star is only because there isnt a lesser option and the sales lady Dee was awesome! UPDATE Well, I got to keep the car for almost 3 whole weeks before having to take it back AGAIN for more problems! The car is now making a loud ticking from the back side of the motor and keeps trying to die when stoped at red lights and when accelerating. When I dropped the car off they put me in a loaner that didnt even have enough gas for me to make home. So sick of this crap. AND i have less than 1000 miles until my 3000 mile warranty is up. read more

No longer dealing with this company. Two issues with them. 1. I have three vehicles I bought there. All were suppose to come with $8 oil changes for life. On one of my trucks they kept trying to charge me $18 even though they know otherwise. This last time they charged me $18 and told me I could no longer have my $8 changes and when I went to pay they are now charging 3.5% to use my credit card. When I told the person at the counter I was not told about the fee, per person said they should have told me when I arrived and checked in which I was not. I told her that it I was refusing to pay the fee and was told if I didn't pay it I could not have my vehicle back. 2. Buying a vehicle there is a joke. I went to buy two vehicles, had all my financing arranged, etc. and they wanted to charge me $8000 more than any other dealer. Also the sales guy never returned calls, and after talking to the sales manager who had me work with another sales person, they still didn't return calls, didn't like that I was using my own financing. So I went to a competitor and not only did I save the $8000 each, that company gave me an additional $500 because I bought more than one. This company has gone downhill, I will never do business with them in the future, nor will I recommend them. read more

I'm going to write a novel here....one or two comments won't cover my experience with "Benny Boyd Y'All". I initiated contact via phone with Eric, a very responsive sales rep at B.B. Lampasas. Since I live in the Austin area I wasn't interested in making the drive and since I had 2 cars to trade, 2010 Ram 3500 and a 2007 Porsche C4S, I didn't have the bodies either. Eric suggested I send him photos of my rig and car and after a few specifics he provided me with some valuations...WITHOUT knowing what I wanted to buy. This is huge for me as ALL the other dealerships I have dealt with in the past won't do this until you identifying the car you want first because this will effect the trade in allowance. His deal was fair but not quite what I wanted as my vehicles were very well maintained and I felt I could get more. I told Eric which truck I wanted to which he said they didn't have any longer as it had just sold a few days before. ( I had my 11 year old son looking as he had more time on his hands and likes farting around on his iPad anyway) We , or should I say, he found another one closer to Austin and we called on it as well. South Point said they had what I was looking for and would review my trades as well prior to arriving but insisted on knowing what I was shopping for prior to agreeing to value my trades. I drove to the dealer only to find out; the truck wasn't what I had specified and the trades had not been valued.... My time is very valuable to me and even more so on the weekends with my family...Almost 2 hours and 1 bag of popcorn later they low balled me on my truck ($4,000.00 less than BB) and my Porsche ($8,000.00 less than BB). Out of spite I showed them the offer from Benny Boyd Lampasas and gathered my keys and left. Half way to my house they called and said they would do it but only if I came back immediately to "Do the deal". I'm not a child buying a $65,000.00 toy and this should be obvious due to the $78,000.00 worth of trade in's. They called back and began making offers that were better than BB but due to their tactics had pretty much lost my business. On Monday, out of respect, I called Eric at BB and told him the current prices on my trades as this was the same thing I had done at South Point. He asked if he could call me back as he needed the approval of his sales manager. In the mean time I had received 2 calls from South Point and had to answer the same questions I was asked in our initial phone call all the while the trade offers went up because "they had found a buyer for my Porsche". Eric called back and informed me that he would meet and beat the other deal because the wanted to retain my business (I had bought my last truck from BB as well) BUT the truck I wanted (from Houston) had sold as well but he found another in Corpus Christi so they would have to arrange a trade and send a driver to retrieve it....THE TRUCK I WANTED. Above and beyond...that's what got me! His driver picked up my new truck drove it back to the dealership cleaned it and CAME TO MY HOUSE just over an hours drive from Lampasas. The driver had all my paperwork in hand and delivered my truck to me at home!!! We sat at my dinner table and signed all the necessary papers. Then he, along with his copilot, took my car and truck and drove away. I NEVER SET FOOT IN THE DEALERSHIP!!!! I spared an additional dealer the embarrassment of pointing out in this review I didn't buy from them, not because of the interaction with their sales staff but I just couldn't stand the thought of driving a FORD!!! They towed my new, used car in today for the same problem they were supposed to fix last month when they came and got it. They charged me 100 dollar deductible last time to replace a thermostat that didn't need replacing. My mechanic told me it's a warped head gasket, and he can almost guarantee I inherited the problem from the previous owner. So, I've missed work and shoveled out over 3000 dollars for a car that they knew was going to have problems. That's just bad business! read more

STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE! - They get you there with their prices but obviously that's why their prices are so low because they sell JUNK! #betterbuyfrombenny YEAH RIGHT!! Benny Boyd did nothing but give me the run around. From their the buyer process to service this place is a joke. I was promised bumper to bumper warranty for 3 months by my sales person Tyler and his manager Jeremy. Asked several times about this warranty and was given their word on several occasions they would take care of the issues the truck had when I got it. Well here we are with a roof leak and some other minor problems and they are telling me none of it is covered and the truck still has paper tags! When I first noticed the leak I called their service department in Lampasas and told them what was going on. Being a roof leak the longer you wait the worse this is going to get - you would think they would realize this. So they told me I could bring it in the same day. But they couldn't provide me with a loaner vehicle. Being an hour and a half away from the service department and this truck being my only transportation. After speaking with 4 different reps and then the service manager Rodney he was able to find me a loaner. So I brought my vehicle in to receive a disgusting loaner that sounds like it's about to blow up. The truck has been there since Monday and they just now called me (Thursday) to say yeah your right about all the problems but we can't fix it because it doesn't have a warranty. Are you kidding me?! After going back and forth with my salesman, his manager and the service department in Lampasas - they agreed to fix the issues. After "fixing" the leak and picking it up I was so frustrated that I didn't notice the other minor problems weren't fixed. So now I have to waste more time, fuel, and money bringing it back to them when it should have been fixed in the first place. I am also still have issues from the water damage - my entire dash panel shuts off and they tell me they can't fix it unless it happens in front of them - so now I have to worry about my safety driving this vehicle. The only thing they could offer me was to come out of pocket $1300-$1800 more to buy an extended warranty - when I was told the truck had a warranty. I won't ever buy from Benny Boyd again. Being a "small town country" dealership you would think they would have small town values. Not even close. read more

I had a very poor experience at the Lampasas dealership. I will never set foot in Benny Boyd dealership ever again. The person working with me was new and the 2 guys behind the scenes gave me a ridiculous offer on my trade so bad they might as well have spit in my face. I guess if you want to be robbed legally go to Benny Boyd dodge. They were also about 4000 overpriced compared to another dealer I checked with on the same truck.I have this feeling they will call me back with another offer but at this point If they tried to give me a truck I would decline the offer. They may have good reviews over the years but something went wrong here. read more
