I highly recommend this place!! I went in because my car was overheating. Turns out the problem was much worse than I thought it could've been. Fast Lane recommended a diagnostic for the codes that were populated so I agreed. They went above and beyond in the diagnostic and found exactly what was wrong with my car. Their communication with me was fantastic and they always pick up the phone. Although they spent two days doing the diagnostic I'm very pleased with the thorough job. I was only charged for the diagnostic for those codes and they still got a full diagnosis of everything that needed repairs. It was a great experience with a very honest shop. read more

I had drove from San Antonio to Cooperas Cove to purchase a vehicle however, I had some concerns prior to purchasing it and needed to access to a vehicle lift (lowered muscle car) I rolled up to Fast Lane on a late Monday afternoon just minutes after closing. As I walked-in a gentleman seemed to be closing the books for the day and looked like the only person around. He greeted me and I apologized for being "that guy" and explained my situation. With a positive attitude and smile on his face Jake said let's take a look Sir. He crawled under the car for a few minutes with a flashlight and then said let's put it on the lift and see if we can take a better look and address your concerns. While on the lift he discovered some minor issues I was unaware of yet, deemed the car safe to drive. I had been meaning to transfer my oil change services to this location because they are new & local. A "Check Engine" light popped on yesterday so that became my day to visit. Initial impression - POSITIVE! I was immediately greeted with a name (I can't remember) and a handshake as I walked in. I told the technician what I needed and asked if they could also diagnose the check engine light - yes, they do that as well, free of charge. The shop was clean, the technicians seemed both knowledgeable and professional. Coffee is available for customers, so is free wi-fi. There is a roll of butcher paper ready to dispense sheets for children to draw on. There is also a hands-on activity center for toddler types. A television played in the background, I don't recall the specific channel but it was something automotive, I can't recall whether the volume was turned up or not. After a very short wait, a technician came in and briefed me on the code associated with the check engine light, something to do with the fuel level gauge, nothing major, I was informed as much. The oil change was next and they must have been working on that while pulling the check engine code because I was ready to be checked out in no time. I was informed that I was eligible for a discount as a new customer, that worked out to just under $5 off. In the end, getting serviced with five quarts of synthetic ran about $50, not bad at all! I didn't visit the restroom and will update this review when I take my second vehicle in for service. As a bonus, when I climbed into my vehicle after paying, I noticed that the Check Engine light was out. The light may be intermittent or the technician may have inadvertently cleared the code while diagnosing it, either way, I'll take it. Yes, it may come on again, if it does I'll deal with it then. Over all, this was a VERY painless experience, I trust the technicians and would feel comfortable with my wife taking her vehicle there for service and/or minor maintenance. They impressed me with my wife's Santa Fe, next, I'll see how they do with my Miata. read more

He didn't offer any type of greeting and told me they did not "have time" for an oil change because they closed at 6. It was 5:37. Being that I work out of town, I called to confirm hours. Update 2/23/19 Jake has really stepped up to make sure we were taken care of and earned our business back. Three strikes, you're out. Jake and his crew are nice, and try to right wrongs, but three wrongs and over $1000 is hard to forgive. The first wrong, we had taken my van in because the roof of it would leak when it rains. I took it in and Josh said it was my weather stripping. It cost over $350 to "fix" and it still leaked, so I took it back. Jake looked and it and resealed the hole where the electrical is fed through and it fixed the leak. So all that needed to be done was a little flex seal type substance for maybe $30-$50, but because it was misdiagnosed as the weather stripping I had to pay over $350. The second wrong, my husband's truck wouldn't start so we had it towed there. Gabe got back to me saying after the starter diagnostic it was determined to be the oil pressure switch was bad so I said to go ahead and fix it. That cost around $170. When we picked it up we were told the fuel pump would need replaced soon, along with the spark plugs. We got it home and the next morning it wouldn't start. I called back and they had it towed back to the shop. The third wrong, after running another starter diagnostic it was determined to be the fuel pump. That set us back another $525. We get it home and AGAIN the next morning it wouldn't start!! I wasn't about to take it back again to have another thing "fixed" that wasn't even wrong with it. I took it to another mechanic and they informed me that the oil pressure switch doesn't even need to be be plugged in, in order for it to start, so that wouldn't have been the issue for it not starting to being with. I feel completely cheated by Fastlane. I will never be going back and will never ever refere anyone to them again. They took over $1000 from us and we now have to pay a different mechanic to fix their mistakes. read more

Wow, this business should have more reviews!! This is the exact review that I posted on other review sites -- more people should know about this honest business! It is not easy to find automotive specialists who are honest, transparent and professional. Fast Lane is all of the above. We entrusted them with multiple services we were not expecting (as it usually is) would be needed, and although the expense was painful -- we got very competitive pricing and superb customer service. While I usually bring our car to another good service provider in town, I plan to switch to Fast Lane for all our automotive needs (that they can service). Jake, Marcus, Ethan, Trevor and staff are the best!! I try not to leave reviews that are very long, however, our recent travails with our 2011 Ford Escape merits the effort. We went to Service Max (Ford) in Killeen so that they could replace a recall item. Before setting an appointment we inquired if the part in question was in stock, and we were given the assurance that it was. We brought our vehicle in in the morning, only to find out at in the afternoon that the part that we were assured was there, was not.They also pointed out that upon inspection, their appeared to be a leak and they could not be certain where the leak was coming from so their recommendation was -- wait for it -- not to diagnose the problem, but to replace all gaskets, which would have cost us $1200. They also recommended to replace the coolant fluid, which we realized was not replaced at 100,000 miles, and we opted to check who had a good offer for that service. We wisely did not return to Ford for the dubious recommendation. Firestone had a rebate promotion for coolant fluid exchange, so we brought our vehicle to the Harker heights location. We asked if some issues we noticed (which we forgot to inform Ford about) could be inspected as well. We had no problems with the coolant fluid exchange, however, we were told (without thorough explanation) that their was a system failure and that the battery needed to be replaced and the fuel system cleaned, this would have cost (as I recall) over $200. Their recommendation was pending a full diagnostic, which would cost $99. We knew that the least thing we could do was to degrease the engine and either do some troubleshooting ourselves as far as the suspected 'leak', or cross our fingers and find an independent mechanic/automotive center we could trust to be thorough and transparent with their recommendations. I stumbled across Fast Lane and didnt realize how conveniently located they were to us. We first brought in the car for engine degrease -- and then, after deciding that we could trust Fast Lane for everything else -- we had them do some diagnostics (cheaper than Firestone) and lo and behold, five key areas needed attention (and none of them was the gasket replacement being pushed by Service Max). We did have to return to them because we noticed that we still had problems on ignition, and a second diagnostic showed we needed to replace our fuel pump. They had to get the part from Dallas, which they made sure we were aware of. Throughout the three times we brought our car in, we were asked if we wanted to see the problem areas ourselves (and their mechanics were very patient and able to explain in layman's terms what the issues were); we were given clear timelines as to when they could get the parts that were needed, if/when they would be delayed and when we could pick up our car. We ended up definitely spending more than $1200 for ALL SIX issues identified, but compared to the initial dubious recommendation made by Service Max (made without doing or recommending a diagnostic) and the hustling we got from Firestone, we got more value for our money. The only thing I would recommend to Fast Lane would be to add some notations on the invoice as to why services were done/parts replaced. Other than that, I only have good things to say about this business. And, although this has nothing to do with cars/vehicles -- the other great things about this business is that 1. they all...love...Dogs! :-), 2. My husband does most of my auto maintenance and repairs but I needed an alignment so I found this amazing place. My car was finished before promised. Price was what was quoted. When checking out they asked about maintenance I may need and I told them my husband does that and the guy at the desk told him to call if he ever had any questions or got stuck with something and they would talk him through it. Paid $1700.00. Waited almost 2 months for my headlight to be put in(Told me they couldn't find the right headlights that matched ), and an oil change. THAT'S IT. Upon letting the car sit for so long ,Jake told me that my battery was shot and was 3-5 yrs old and that I should replace it . However, I bought it last year at Autozone and it was still under warranty. I let my husband deal with them at this point as I am pregnant and stressed. They told me my car was finished that weekend and when my husband and I went to grab my car, we had them replace the old battery with our new one and we realized it still didn't start . Went back in and they didn't charge a diagnostic fee (even though they tried to for $110 more)because they admitted to blowing a fuse and also admitted to jumping the car several times and OBVIOUSLY we knew AND they knew that it wouldn't start on THEIR BEHALF. Jake told us they would replace it at no cost and told us our battery terminal was loose and starter needed to be replaced . After some skepticism we paid for that to be done as well . Jake texted me and told me that it would be done Monday , however I checked Tuesday with Darrin and it was NOT ready again because they ordered the wrong battery terminal for my vehicle . Called Wednesday to ask for another update and Darrin asked a coworker the status and I heard the coworker say they ordered the wrong starter ! Get this , I called Thursday and Jake said they were waiting on a FUSE! Wow , the inability of and lack of communication is this shop is unreal ! I let my husband call to tell them to get my car the heck out of there as I am pregnant and stressed or with them . They got my car running that day BUT my radio no longer worked (due to fuses of course). So after getting halfway down the road I called and DARRIN answered and was RUDE as heck to me and said I must have broke it before I brought it in (almost 2 months ago )! I went back to the shop,Almost in tears from being frustrated and they sent Bobby out who found another fuse blown ( WHY DIDNT THEY REPLACE IT BEFORE )?? They fixed the one they found and my radio still didn't work !! Jake told me they wouldn't help me (only with free labor )with the radio despite it working beforehand and was very rude ! They wouldn't cover the cost of the fuse or the radio IF HIS TEAM PERMANENTLY DAMAGED IT . Bobby the tech admitted to the shop having communication issues and being rude to customers. He also told Jake that they blew main fuse and other fuses were blown.He apologized for how Darrin acted towards a customer who paid 1700 and waited almost 2 months to have their vehicle back just to find out there were more and more problems and excuses. I took it to another shop and have paperwork saying they didn't change out all the blown fuses despite Darrin saying they "only" blew 2 fuses ,despite taking it back , and despite Jake saying they would get the fuses DONE . Also I got an oil change that costed $70 and they didn't check or fill my fluids and also didn't provide me with a sticker . Excuse after excuse and lie after lie. Jake Dewald takes no accountability for his workers messing up , just gets online to argue with customers who leave bad reviews . Doesn't seem very trust worthy. I had to take my car in because it was having issue and they kept trying to get me to pay for extra work that I wasn't asking for. They gave me a SUPER high quote for the job and after asking around I was able to get they same job done for less then HALF of what Fast Lane was asking for. I also felt like they were trying to pressure me into getting work done that wasn't needed and when I told them no they got very rude with me, which made me very uncomfortable. After my husband returned from work I asked him to help with the situation and they treated him much differently then then they did with me. Over all we both decided that the situation was just too weird and ended up not having them work on our vehicle. (Which they made a big deal about) If you get work done here I suggest you be extremely cautious and be very sure of what work you actually need done. read more

I've never been to an auto shop with a clean restroom and it even had a changing table and there was something for kids to play with in the lobby which is a plus for parents.
