With todays' costs on everything rising, its important that car owners have an estimate on car parts that will need replacement in the future for planning and budgeting purposes. Items like exhaust systems, brake pads and rotors, timing belts and chains etc. do and will fail unless replaced prior of failure. Preventive Maintenance. Scotty gave me a good rundown on when I could expect to replace my brakes on my Infinity and gave me a projection of when I will need to replace the exhaust system in my second auto, a Dodge Caravan. The extremely nice lady running the office was 100% honest with me and let me know that they were extremely busy and had vehicles parked out in the street that they still needed to check out and it would be right at 2 weeks before they could check my truck out. She was pretty accurate with that timeline. They checked out my truck and got me a quote (their phones were having issues - so she worked with me via Text (which was awesome as I could handle this all the while continuing my work day!)). She provided me both a quote and ETA of the repair which I promptly agreed to. They had my truck wrapped up & ready for pick up just a few business days later. I picked my truck up and the same nice lady gave me a run down of my repairs and their findings as well as instructions that they put dye in my A/C system so if I had issues just give them a shout. I drove the truck home but still had concerns with the A/C. I texted her and she told me to drop the truck back off. Shortly after our exchange I dropped the truck back off - but had another lengthy discussion about what I was experiencing. Chuck's team took another crack at my problem (Basically the A/C had no freon leaks, and would at times take upwards of 30 mins to cool the truck off. It just didn't cool like it used to.) Within just a few short days - I was given my diagnosis - I wasn't crazy!! I received my quote & ETA of the repair just like last time and Chuck's team delivered once again! I paid $2,300 for an alternator and battery change on my Infiniti Q50 that took them two weeks to fix. When I finally picked up the car, I noticed immediately that it wasn't running right. I drove the car back immediately to the shop and pointed out that the car was handling roughly. The manager then proceeded to go into a number of explanations, which felt like problem deflection and an attempt to gaslight someone who's not as mechanically inclined as them. A week later, I had to put my car back in the shop when the check engine light came on and was informed that Elite Auto did not re-connect key hoses/connections for the turbocharger back to the engine. This resulted in further time and worry (on my part) and damage to the car. Since then, the manager of Elite Auto has been unresponsive to my calls or request for response. Had I known what I know now, I would have sucked it up and paid for another expensive tow to a more competent shop. I'd urge anyone thinking of taking their car to Elite Auto to think twice and go elsewhere.

I showed them where the leak was (weep hole) they proceeded to tell me my intake manifold gaskets needed replacing and the water pump was fine. $1000.00 and a week later I got it back. I drove it to Salado, and when I got out of the car the exact same leak was there. I'm a mechanic , but I elected to have it fixed because I was traveling and didn't have my tools. They didn't even check their work. When I took it back to them, they said they would fix it no charge. When I picked it up they charged me for the pump... Now all these years later I get a text message telling me i can get 10% off on my next service. I thought I had put this behind me years ago, only bringing up the story to illustrate how even mechanics can get taken for a ride given the right circumstances. Now I'm compelled to leave a review . When I replied to the text : Why in the world would I ever come back to a shop that fucked me over so bad that it's the worst experience I've ever had in my life? I went to this place they kept my truck for a week and charged me $127.00 for nothing. That did absolutely nothing. I don't even believe they did a test drive to diagnose the problem. My check engine was on when I got there and had been on for 2 years for the catalytic converter but the truck run fine and that was not why I was there. I believe they saw the light was on and did a scan which told them the catalytic converter should be replaced which I already knew. Bottomline, they told me something I already knew and never addressed the problem I was there for. They charged me the previous $127.00 I mentioned for 2 minutes work. On top of that I had to rent a vehicle on top that which cost me an additional $300.00 plus. I'm 65 and I been to many, many mechanics in my life and this ix by far the worst i've ever seen. The old guy at the front counter has the worst attitude I've ever seen. He's just plain rude and has a extremely nasty disposition. Steer clear of this place and find a real professional garage to service your vehicle, this place is not that.
