Ordered online. Super easy. Once again great experience. Trick must be to come when it's not busy, like now, Tuesday afternoon. Great pizza, no doubt about that. Huge slice of pizza $6.50 soda $1.50. One slice is perfect. Perfectly full. You know I'll be back! The pizzas are FRICKING HUGE!!

Pizza slices the size of your head. That's what you can expect at Benny DiCarta's! I stopped in recently and got a slice for lunch. Their whole pizzas are 28" in diameter and if you eat an entire one in 28 minutes you get a cash prize. I asked the kid working if anyone's completed it and he said that three people have! Whoa. The slices are really huge and only about $5-$7. They had 3 specialty slices as well as classic slices (pepperoni, sausage, cheese). Nate got the Tarantino (chicken, bacon, and ranch) and I got the sausage. They have a cooler full of canned/bottled drinks. The employee taking our order was kind and patient. It took a bit of time for us to get our slices but they were hot and fresh and easy to eat, not too floppy. There's some indoor seating and a bit of outdoor seating in the back. The ambiance isn't anything to write home about, but it is a decent spot to eat or you can easily take your slice to go. I liked the amount of cheese and flavor of the sauce. The sausage was thin slices of sausage links rather than chunks. The sausage could've had a bit more flavor but I liked the pizza and I'm glad we got to try it! Definitely would be a good post-bar spot.

Stopped here between bars one Friday night for some drunken eats. The slices are the size of your head - really though, from my personal experience this is the biggest piece of pizza I have ever eaten. The wait was quite a long time for just a couple slices, but it was good food. Nothing to rave about, but it certainly did the job! It wasn't too busy at that time of night. They have a nice setup and the service was decent!

I have been wanting to try this spot for a few years. I've been told about the humongous pizza slices and the rumors were 100% true! lol Located in KZ, this cute little pizza spot is located in the heart of town. We had been busy hopping around, but we saved room for a slice of pizza. They have a pretty creative menu and one can purchase an entire pizza. The size of the pizza box is larger than a person. We decided to try a slice of the pepperoni. Of course, we were going to split it. Overall, the pizza was decent. I think the novelty of this place will bring the crowds. If you are in the area, grabbing a slice is most certainly worth your time.

The portion sizes are huge - I mean like size of half a normal pizza! I asked to have mine cut in half for personal reasons (because I make messes like a pro mess maker - but this saved me from "wearing" my pizza). The slice was a 4.5/5! (The other half a point in my score is due to the guy working there being so personable and cheerful )

The pizza is great and the size is absurd!! I went purely to see if it was as good as I'd heard. The pizza was pretty good, super thin pizza. If you like thin pizza you'll love it! I was impressed at the crispness of it and happy to find the back not soggy. I was surprised there are only a few kinds to choose from, and not whatever types of pizzas you want. I believe they change the toppings out daily. And for the price $5.50 for pepperoni it was good!

WOW! We just got our first pizza from Benny's downtown. This thing is crazy! But crazy good! Big is an understatement. While size matters, it tastes great too. We got a half garlic/mushroom and half pineapple/cherry-pepper pizza. They were both great and we will definitely get this again. But maybe ordering "by-the-slice" since each slice is as big as some others whole pies. The staff was super helpful and friendly too.

    Filthy urinal.

Good pizza. Good value. Terrible service. Filthy urinal. If you can take the poor attitude and don't need the restroom it's great.

This is the pizza place that downtown Kalamazoo has needed. Super excited for owners Jeff and Colleen, even if he gave me a hard time for being a Red Sox fan. The atmosphere is legit, a fun, brightly colored, city vibe. The pizza is delicious, perfectly floppy "Virginia style" (pretty much New York) with paradoxically crispy and chewy crust. The ovens they use are magical. It can be pretty busy, so plan ahead. I'd encourage you to go toward the beginning of a meal rush if you want to get in and out, or you could call ahead for a whole pie (masssive pizza). Four of us, all pretty big dudes, split a whole pizza, and three of us were just past pleasantly full. Fortunately, they do offer single slices (plenty to eat for most people). If you like pizza, and if you enjoy downtown, this place is a must try. Go in, grab a slice, and walk around for awhile. You can also sit and enjoy it in the alley seating out back. Either way, you can't go wrong with Benny's.

Great pizza and even better people!! The owner is so nice and the employees are great too! The pizza was awesome! Surprisingly, being a cheese pizza girl, the pepperoni is my favorite so far! It was just full of flavor and the crust was amazing. A wonderful place to get pizza with your friends and family!

The pizza by the slice is amazing! I stopped by there when working at the Kalamazoo event center and was very happy with the pizza.

Only place I know of in the greater Kalamazoo area that sells pizza by the slice. YAY! Wish more places did.

Huge slices, flavorful cheese blend, and a perfect crust: chewy inside, crisp outside, with a subtle char taste.

I knew I wanted the sojouk pide, as I've seen it but never tried it. It was so unique in flavors I don't think I've experienced before and I absolutely loved it. I only ate about half and it tasted great leftover, too. (It is NOT like pizza!) My friends both had the lentil soup and grape leaves and enjoyed both dishes. I've tried grape leaves before and don't care for them, but my friend convinced me to try it - and it was the best I've ever tried! The leaf wasn't tough and there was a nice wrapper to filling ratio. I knew I had to get the knafeh, again a dish I've seen on tv but never had. I was doing the Food Dance! (The owner 'caught' me and we had a good laugh!) My friend had the milky baklava and enjoyed that. I regret not trying a bite. I can't wait to go back. Some of the nicest staff I've ever encountered - welcoming, warm, friendly and happy to explain anything to someone new to the cuisine!

Everything was okay. Quite heavy. The Mandi was a novelty, but ultimately the ayasofya pizza was a let down. It tasted more like a casserole with the thick heavy base, and did not have the Mediterranean taste we came to love in our time living in the Middle East. This felt like a poor facsimile of American pizza with some Turkish toppings. These two items came to $38 quite a premium for two items. It does keep you full though... I won't be hungry again today.
