We dropped in for patio seating after all day in the city. We weren't dressed and had two kids, not always ideal for "fine " dining but they were so kind!! We had fab service, a great meal and let full! Pretty setting for a date night or nice low key dinner in the city.

Great customer service, okay food. Good specials. Oyster rockerfeller - 3/5 temp was cool.. oysters were so small, it was mostly creamed spinach. Chicken skewer - 5/5- juicy flavorful and onions are a good compliment Beef skewer -3.5/5 cooked well, not as well seasoned. Bolognese - 3/5 Carbonara- 3/5 Caesar salad 2/5 Mixed green salad 4/5 Ribeye- cooked well and offered to be cut from the bone. Underseasoned. Carrot cake 4/5 Complimentary dessert (the name is slipping my mind) - 3/5

From the time we arrived to departing the service was great. Our waiter, Alejandro was very attentive but not overbearing. I ordered the Ribeye Steak, which I like cooked medium well. It was a thick cut of meat, I don't like a lot of seasoning, therefore it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The French onion soup was delicious. My husband had the Tuna which he said was good and plentiful. The beet salad was excellent. The decor and table setting is white linen, which gives the restaurant a classy atmosphere. We will definitely visit again.

Cuisine: 8 Service: 6 Decor: 8 Value: 6 Overall: 7 Nothing that blows your mind, but a nice experience from top to bottom. I stayed at the Hilton next door and was offered a 15% discount to try this restaurant. Honestly, a very enjoyable meal. Tropical Salad (8/10) - Good portion size. Refreshing and delicious. The shrimps were grilled perfectly. The vinaigrette worked well with both the bitter arugula and the sweet mangoes. Seafood Pasta (8/10) - So much flavor from the various ingredients providing a robust sauce that coated the al dente linguine. This was quite yummy. Prime Dry Aged Ribeye (7/10) - Not sure if I tested much of the funk that comes with a properly dry aged steak. More importantly, there wasn't a very nice crust, though the center of the meat was cooked perfectly medium rare. Still quite good. Service was friendly but slightly lackadaisical. The space is very nice and comfortable. I would come back, especially if I can get the discount again.

Benny John's was not the best experience. I made a reservation for 3 for Benny John's for Saturday dinner. Service was very slow. We ordered one mocktail, and two cocktails and it took at least 30 minutes for the drinks to come to the table. Also it took about the same amount of time for the free bread to come to the table as well. The bread had no flavor and was not good. I had the mocktail and it was also not very good - it tasted watery. As for the food, I ordered a burger medium well and it was definitely overdone. It was supposed to come with a zesty sauce and there was barely any sauce on it. The fries were decent. My friend ordered a side of wedges and they had no flavor. My brother ordered his burger medium and it was also overdone. Overall, I would not recommend Benny John's. I think they try to present themselves as a nicer establishment, but the food was very mediocre.

Dined here with my Mom after a broadway show. We made reservations very quick & easy Atmosphere: bright and noisy Service: Marcelo who was a trainee was great! Jose was awesome! They worked together and made sure we had everything we needed. Drink: I can't remember I believe Bourbon. It was good. Food: FRIED CALAMARI with house marinara sauce CAESAR SALAD I had a seafood pasta. It was ok; a little dry. It needed more sauce. I picked through it. My Mom had grilled asparagus & mushrooms, a baked potato. She enjoyed it. Overall our experience was good. I'd go back to give them another try. I hope you enjoy.

A nice combination of personalized attention that's pleasantly reminiscent of an earlier time inserted into a recently opened, modern NYC restaurant which is both crisp and compelling. Staff is impeccable--I'm a VIP here all the time. Dennis, who waited on my party, is an outstanding young man, perhaps the best that I've ever been served by. He gives me hope for the future of our country, seriously. The food is also top drawer. Lobster bisque is creamy and plenty lobstery--I nearly licked the bowl. Rock burger is aptly named as it's quite a mountain of meat and toppings however tasty and well balanced (literally). A side of spring asparagus is light and lovely. A noticeably unstingy pour of smooth, red Bordeaux wine is the perfect complement. Moreover, there's a marvelous surprise: fresh, delectable popovers presented as dinner rolls. It's the attention to details that elevates Benny John's over other restaurants.

Benny John presents THE AMANDA SHOW.... Behind the bar. This place is a gem. This place is something special. High quality service and good food. Amanda was behind the bar and made amazing drinks. A perfect score A+. I got the Mojito which was really good. A+ I got the "Chicken Marsala" which was really good. It came with nice thick slices of chicken. This place has happy hour all night long (at the bar). This place has only been open a year and off to an amazing start. I recommend this spot for an elegant night out.

Fantastic steaks and gorgeous presentation. The service was superb. The wine was excellent and balanced rather than over-the-top tannic. The waiter did not try to upsell the wine but chose one that would complement the steaks. Where do I begin? We ordered the filet mignon, the rib eye steak, and the sirloin. Each was cooked to a beautiful medium-rare. We ordered onion rings and sauteed broccoli to share and it was plentiful for three dinners. The service was so attentive and the music in the background made for a mellow and calming atmosphere. The chocolate mousse dessert was ethereal; not heavy but balanced. The expresso was perfect and I wanted to come back the next day except we were leaving.

The ambiance feels straight of the golden age, which is an aesthetic I'm certainly a sucker for. Even their robust cocktail menu fits the bill and is one of the prettiest menus I've ever had the joy of perusing. Staff was able to sit us a little bit ahead of our reservation which was also much appreciated. Wait staff was also very helpful and attentive, I don't think I've ever had my water glass so topped off! Starting off with cocktails, this place is a gin bar through and through and you'd be making a mistake if you didn't try one of their many options. I went with the 10,000 words, which you simply just give a spirit of your choice (I picked gin of course) and whether you antes) wanted your drink shaken or stirred and the bartender does the rest, so a bit of a surprise! I wound up with their version of The Last Word which was delightfully citrusy but I was hoping I'd wind up with something a little more adventurous app things considered. My girlfriend got the blackberry G&T, which was not only very pleasing to look at but delicious to boot. For food, we started with splitting some zucchini blossoms and beef cheek bao buns (both come in portions of 3). Both were tasty, but I love a good bao bun and these were so light and pillowy, I could have just went for an order of those for my main course. For the entree I went for the roasted half chicken, perhaps the most unassuming choice on the menu but this was maybe the best roast chicken I've ever had. Prepared perfectly, cooked to perfection, excellent portion size, and the kicker of it all was the stunning gravy that I was tempted to lick my plate for. Chicken is very easy to screw up, and they nailed it on all fronts here. My girlfriend went for the Valerie Signature burger with white cheddar and this thing did not mess around! A very rich patty, cooked to her temperature of choice served alongside some garlic truffle fries that made an American classic feel just a little more elevated. Our experience was delightful and I'd love to comeback here again, especially to check out more of the cocktail menu and soak in more of that golden age aura the place gives.

It featured a crispy, sugar-glazed exterior and a soft, chewy interior, topped with truffle cheese and served with a truffle butter dip; the pairing was superb, and it tasted great both on its own and with the dip. For the main course, I ordered the miso-glazed black cod. The flavor was flawless, and while the portion was small (which was acceptable), the pool of broth accompanying it was completely unnecessary; it was inedibly salty, so what was the point of serving it? After finishing the fish, I was left with a plate full of broth, rendering the plate unusable. Plus, it was overpriced; for this dish, you're better off going to Strip House Strip House remains the undisputed king of this dish in New York. A friend ordered the chicken parmesan. It was just average. Another friend ordered the short rib stroganoff. The flavor was decent, but it was far too rich and heavy. As someone whose palate is split 50/50 between Western and Chinese cuisine, I could manage only five bites at most. If you have a palate that prefers 100% Chinese food, proceed with caution on this dish. Friends ordered sides of mac & cheese and mashed potatoes. These are dishes originally meant for low-income Americans to fill up on cheaply; there's no limit to how good they can be, but also no floor to how bad they can get. Both were on par with the average quality found in upscale restaurants. Honestly, these are two dishes I would never order myself. To sum up: the atmosphere was great. It's also hard to get a reservation; the place was packed when we had lunch at 2 PM. Aside from that monkey bread, I didn't feel like anything else justified the price or offered something you couldn't find elsewhere. I don't quite get the hype. Perhaps I just didn't order the right dishes; maybe next time I'll try the burger and the steak.

The King Crab Rangoon (8/10) was packed with crab, almost too much for my taste, but the sweet chili and hot mustard sauces balanced it out nicely. The Espresso Martini (6/10) was a pretty standard espresso martini. The Long Island Cold Brew (3/10) tasted like cold brew mixed with vodka, which just wasn't for me. Service was fine overall (7/10). It was our first time eating at a Friedman's location. It had a nice diner feel to it, with a mix of booths and tables. The brunch menu has a variety of breakfast items, salads, sandwiches and burgers, starters, and entrees (fish tacos, grain bowl, fried chicken). I like that several of the items are naturally gluten free, and some can be made gluten free by request. The shashuka came with grilled ciabatta, perfect for dipping into the sunny side eggs and tomato sauce. My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor.
