GREAT, old fashioned dive bar!! And there aren't a lot of AUTHENTIC dive bars left in NYC! Strong drinks, at what I consider a reasonable price (considering that I've paid as much as $10 at low key bars for an Absolut & cranberry) A pool table, a jukebox that plays rock n roll, and several flat-screen tvs featuring sports This bar is my spirit animal and I LOVE it!!! Many thanks to everyone for being so welcoming to two vampyres!

Oooof. Wanted a midday beer so I popped into here. I like dive bars. Hell, I love dive bars. When I walked in here, what I don't love is getting a draft Guinness and tasting metal because the lines are filthy. What I don't love is getting it served in a glass with lipstick on it in the age of COVID. Yeah, imma pass on this place.

Nice. Dark woody & loud... neon girls girls girls, tin ceiling, old glory. Certain theres a good story behind the dream catcher & $.25 peep shows. ZZ top big goose/tonic from Steph! Locals billiards going on down to the left... ? Standard fare on tap. Good sturdy stools. clean... was hoping for more grunge, scent, sticky floor. Styx memories of making out in ms collins class Mets v atl. deGrom .50 era??? Refucking goddamndiculous..! About 20 bodies... 7:37p on a monday. Love to be here on a saturday 11:30p!!!! When I hover my laptop pointer over the stars on the Yelp page it tells you that 3 stars is "ok," that 4 stars is "good" and that 5 stars is "great." So using that scale, this place is certainly at least "good" (as far as dive bars go anyway). We were here on a Tuesday night so things were pretty quiet. There was a smattering of regulars and a really friendly bartender. It's hard to say what this place might be like at other times, but it seems like a pretty decent dive bar to come down to in Hell's Kitchen. We only stayed for a couple but it seemed legit. The bottom line: Great dive bar if you are into that sort of thing.

If you're looking for the epitome of dive bar, near the sketchiest part of the back end of Port Authority- this is it. Sometimes you have friends visiting and you give them the choice of bars - 1. Rooftop? 2. Hipster? 3. Mad Men? 4. City view? 5. Dive Bar? - and they choose #5 - Dive Bar - I can think of no other that fills the bill. This is also good for taking off from work with a co-worker to go low-end day-drinking.

Just a Friday night at the coolest bar in the neighborhood.

Pretty good dark little dive with some decent drink specials. They have a popular pool table. Good music.

Can't complain. They have four booths in the back maybe it was three. I did notice one of the hanging lights was from an 80s pizza hut joint. Letting you know now the paper towels for your face at the table felt like jail toliet paper, very rough. The bar doesn't have bar stools with backs! You either need to get one or two tables by their mini kitchen, very hot there not recommended for preimenopause or menopausal women or one of the booths. This is a great bar they played 60s music a lot. Heard some weird al too! Very random and fun place to be. The bartender was nice as well as security! Try the burger! Worth the $9!!

It has easily earned a spot as one of my favorite bars of all time. The underground space flawlessly captures a raw, seedy, 1980s rock 'n' roll vibe, with eclectic decor that extends beautifully to the themed menus and custom glassware. Sitting at the bar was a highlight--the bartenders were fantastic, clearly proud of their craft, and they even humorously indulged my game of trying to guess the ingredients of each drink they mixed. The cocktail lineup is phenomenal. A few absolute highlights: the Purple Rain with its purple ice and peppercorn, the flambéed Dirty Dancing, a brilliant espresso martini riff called Flick The Bean, and Pure Temptation--which has glassware you just have to see for yourself. Don't miss this place if you're in NYC!

You need a password (easy to find online), and you go through a hidden door down a staircase. But it feels more like a novelty than anything else. NYC has way more iconic speakeasies, so this isn't somewhere I'd go out of my way for more than once. Nothing wrong with the vibe--it's Times Square, so you already know what you're getting--but it's definitely a one-and-done kind of spot. The drinks are good and super fun, but they're very extra (smoke, presentation, all that), so between that and how packed it gets, it can take a while just to get one cocktail. Didn't try the food. Overall, go for the pics and TikToks--it's perfect for that. I'd recommend checking it out once, but I don't really see it being a repeat spot.
