    Buffalo Chicken Salad
    Erin H.

My coworkers and I were looking for a lunch spot after attending a trade show at the Javits Center and stumbled across The Yard's Pub a few blocks away. We asked if we could have the stool window seats that face the sidewalk. The windows were open and we had a nice view of the busy street outside. I ordered a buffalo chicken salad ($20) and a glass of Pinot Grigio off the happy hour menu ($10). I was pleasantly surprised to see that their happy hour begins at 12pm and goes all the way until 8pm! The salad was a generous size and filled me up. Service was great and our waitress checked in on us a few times. A great Irish pub with delicious food and reasonable prices! Buffalo Chicken Salad: 5/5 Pinot Grigio: 5/5

So happy to have stumbled in on a rainy Monday afternoon! *Beautiful bar and cool atmosphere with the playlist and decor (colors, tile-work, textures) -- TVs everywhere and ample seating available: booths, long bar, tables in the back. *Different Happy Hours: 12pm-8pm Mon-Sun: $10 margs and wine + All Day one w/ $6 house draft/shots/Miller High Lifes and bucket specials + a daily printed slip of food specials *Large menu and variety so you'll definitely find something for every taste. Traditional bar fare apps, burgers & sandwiches, flatbreads, Irish entrees, salads, sides, options for kids, etc. Ordered: Nachos as is + Fried Pickle Chips + Fish n Chips w/ minted (whole) peas, fries, coleslaw + house draft + 2 Smithwicks drafts + a Guinness on draft. In love with all the food and drinks. They offer malt vinegar for the fries on the side which is crucial. Perfect pours on the beers from the bartender, big portions. Our waitress Cathy (or Kathy) was awesome! Checked in on us but not obtrusively, was so friendly and personable, helpful, funny, and really took care of us for lunch. *They're open LATE -- til 2AM most nights, 3AM Fridays and Saturdays.* My partner said: "I loved the private environment even on a busy street, the vibes, selection, our waitress, the bar and decor, our food, even the house draft beer which was only $6 and described as light but was really refreshing." come visit!!

I had an awesome smash patty cheeseburger at The Yard's Pub and loved the food and the restaurant. It came with great fries too. My nephew ordered the French Onion Soup and it was cheesy and delicious too he said. Nice restaurant inside and out and friendly service. I'd go back if I stay in that part of New York City and try something else.

Not only is the staff incredible but the ambiance is awesome! We decided to stop here for a short happy hour before getting dinner and I'm so glad we stumbled across this place! They have really awesome happy hour deals from $6 shots to $8 mixed drinks, and they have some really awesome options off happy hour as well! I got myself a mojito and it was perfect for a hot day in new york city! It was just made so nicely. My boyfriend got a version of their long island and was satisfied for how strong it was for the price I highly recommend this spot if you're looking to get drinks or even share a meal (their menu looks so good!)

Great new addition to Hell's Kitchen. The Yard's Pub is beautiful visually...and it has great food. We had a delicious brunch and bloody's at The Yard's Pub to watch some of the Ryder Cup. We sat at the bar and Marcus was great company for the afternoon. Can't wait to return!

Guinness was an 8.3/10. Great pour, great taste. They have sweet potato fries which was a bonus since I didn't see it on the menu but was pleasantly surprised when I asked and they had them! Will come back again for more Guinness and to try the shepherds pie.

We went on a Monday evening. We got the crispy truffle Mac and cheese bites and the fried pickle chips for appetizers. The truffle bites were nice and crispy on the outside and full of gooey Mac and cheese. They had a great flavor. The fried pickles were packed with pickle flavor and their avocado ranch was amazing! For entrees we got the Yards smash burger - this did not need any alterations to the burger. It was so delicious and flavorful! The fries were crispy enough but not over done. My husband got the buffalo chicken wrap. This was a lighter wrap and not as heavy as a normal buffalo chicken wrap. It had the buffalo flavor but also you tasted the veggies and was not over powering. Our friends got the Yards Irish spice chicken box with fries and the fried chicken sandwich (both not pictured) the fried sand which was huge and our friend said it was very delicious. The spice chicken box had a curry undertone. Was very good, also not overpowering. We got the tiramisu and apple crumble with custard. The tiramisu was amazing. The Apple crumble was a little bland but did not taste bad.

The "Perfect" Pint is apparently a far cry from reality…read more Our server, Ruffino, seemed perfectly cordial at first, but that changed rather quickly when we discovered a 20% automatic gratuity added to our bill without any prior notice. We didn't find out about this little surprise until the check was placed on our table. Nothing like discovering an extra charge at the end of your meal that apparently everyone was supposed to know about except the customers. We went downstairs to the host stand and asked to speak with a manager. We were informed that there was no manager on duty--apparently, just a staff of bartenders. When we questioned the automatic gratuity, we were told that all orders over $100 automatically receive a 20% gratuity. There was just one small problem: we had never been informed of this policy, nor did we see it posted anywhere. We politely asked for the charge to be removed since it had not been disclosed to us. We were told there was "nothing that could be done." Naturally, we then went back to Ruffino and asked to speak with his boss. We were promptly brought the exact same person we had already spoken with downstairs--who then proceeded to tell Ruffino to remove the gratuity. So apparently, there was something that could be done. Good to know. Unfortunately, the situation then went from questionable customer service to outright disrespect. During the interaction, our experience working in the food service industry was insulted, and we were told, and I quote: "I feel bad for whatever establishment you worked for because I know it was S**T. Get the F**K out and never return." Classy. For the record, there were only four people in our party. The establishment's own gratuity guidelines state that a 20% automatic gratuity applies to parties of six or more, not four. So let's recap: * A 20% gratuity was added without being disclosed. * We were told it applied because our order exceeded $100. * We were unable to find this policy posted anywhere. * We were initially told nothing could be done about the charge. * Someone subsequently instructed Ruffino to remove it, proving that something could, in fact, be done. * And when we questioned the situation, we were insulted and told to leave and never come back. Honestly, the last part was the easiest request to accommodate. If "Perfect" is supposed to describe the customer experience here, I'd hate to see what happens at an establishment that's merely average. As for the request to "never return"--don't worry. We won't. Some establishments manage to make that decision remarkably easy for you.

I stumbled across this Irish Pub with a Rooftop view of the street by chance looking for a coffee…read moreshop. The rooftop view appealed to me much more than hanging out in a coffee shop. Since my favorite beer is Guinness. Figured it was time to get it while waiting for a friend at the theater nearby. I was glad that the waitress at the bar downstairs was really friendly and gave me directions to take the elevator up to the rooftop. I didn't realize this pub was shared with another pub next door. The elevators was located in between the 2 pubs. While getting to the elevator, it seems there was an attendant that brought guests up on the cozy little elevator. Though, there were no attendants later in the day. The waitress mentioned I could bring my glass up with me to the roof. So I did. Overall, I enjoyed my time overlooking the busy street while sipping my beer.

Bartenders - FIVE of them will ignore tf out of you until they have no choice but to speak to you because some finance bros came and called the bartenders over. Thought it was because I'm a woman but then this older Caucasian woman came to sit next to me and they came to her right away (I'm a woman of color). I even had to flail my arms just to get the tab and I can tell that it's their routine to ignore a certain demographic. I was only here because my friend had to meet up with my work colleagues so I thought I would grab a seat at the bar and enjoy a quick burger before heading out for birthday festivities. The burger and fries were good and the rooftop is nice. I have no desire to return but it's probably what they want.
