Jojo left and new owners are taking us back in a time to the original Donkey. Open merely a week and a limited menu, but I was only coming here for wings anyway. Got 10 mild and garlic parm boneless bites. The mild sauce would be considered hot anywhere else. Super tasty. Garlic parm was not overpowering and quite perfectly balanced. Highly recommend both. We also tried the chicken empanadas and they were super tasty along with the two dipping sauces. So glad this off the beaten path restaurant and bar has reopened. Can't wait to come back. I did come back 8/5 and had another amazing time on bite night. Delicious!

We arrived right at 4:00 p.m. on a Friday as they were opening, and everything from the service to the food exceeded our expectations. Our server, Michelle, was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made excellent recommendations. They had several daily specials that all sounded amazing. We started with the cheese fries, which instantly brought back nostalgic memories, they were simple, comforting, and absolutely delicious. For our meals, my husband ordered the Crispy Chicken Salad, topped with two large hand-breaded chicken tenders tossed in mild sauce with blue cheese dressing. My daughter loved her 6-cut Red Pizza, which arrived perfectly crispy and full of flavor. I ordered the wings, fried to perfection and served with mild sauce and blue cheese. On Michelle's recommendation, my son went with the Breakfast Burger, and wow! It was enormous and incredibly juicy. Every bite was outstanding. If you're anywhere near the area, do not sleep on this place! Their slogan says "Almost Famous," but I honestly don't think they'll be "almost" for much longer. Get here before everyone else discovers this hidden gem, you'll be glad you did!

You don't have to order extra crispy or wet, they come out perfect every time. They are cooked to order, so it can take a while longer than places who pre-cook. Try a Kelly Fry or French Onion Soup and pretty much anything else on the menu. All good all the time. Service is always friendly and quick, even when busy. While their wings do tend to be smaller than other normal or even jumbo sized wings, to call them pigeon wings is just ridiculous. If you're someone who eats an order of 10 feel free to order 15 here and get the same full belly effect. The one thing they have going on that cannot be matched is consistency. It doesn't matter who's cooking, the day of the week, or the crowd size. The wings are always the same size, cooked the same way, and sauced the same way. I do feel as if they travel well too due to their smaller size. Reheating them with an extra side of sauce, has proven to be a hit at parties. They deserve to be in the conversation for best wings in the area. The staff is friendly and attentive. There is a large family friendly dining room. The one negative, I do wish the bar area was larger. If you're able to find a seat, it is a nice time, but it is a very narrow and limited seating experience.

I can't explain to you how much I hate mozzarella sticks that come from a bag out of a Sam's Club. These are the best mozzarella sticks I'm pretty sure all northeastern Pennsylvania. My father always said dive bars have the best food in and this place is definitely a testament to that.
