This is hands down the best grill/coney style restaurant in Metro Detroit. They have a variety of options on their menu that are all great. From Breakfast to wings, sliders, seafood, Phillies, pitas, coneys, etc! Their prices are reasonable and backed with generous portions complimented with superb flavor. I enjoy their wings and fried walleye the best but haven't had anything not good from here. Not to mention the owner is a very nice people person and the hostess herself always go above and beyond to make customers feel welcomed. Don't pass on this gem!!

Just opened Ben's Sliders and Wings the day we visited, place very busy dining in and take out. On Biddle just before Rite Aid. Ain't no Ben in the house, rebranding by same Coney Island owner. The good outrageous delicious juicy Chicken Tenders perfection OMG a must try. That along with the Plump Fries the winner of our visit. The bad they charge for the sauce for any Wing orders, who does that so sad. The Chili plain coney chili block, why not make Real Chili. The Chicken Sandwich was just two tenders on a bun, not good want a full Breast Patty like all other restaurants. The really bad those sliders suck, my wife says the old school gas station Burgers taste better. She offered me a bite I said no way, you can see cheap frozen patties. Real sliders are fresh Ground Beef Balls smashed on the flattop, both Joe's and Tammy's make them just like Motz. I will say good luck until you make some changes we won't be back dissatisfied customer. #benssliders&wings #sliders #wings #chickentenders #chickensandwich #wyandottemi #downriverfriendseat

This may be the coolest addition to Wyandotte and it's downtown strip…read more It's a walkup and order type joint, with table with umbrellas also available to customers. Parking is usually readily available along the street, and often available right in front. For years, the only place around to get subs like you can get at Lunch, was Gonella's, a ways away, and well off the beaten path at the Dearborn/Detroit border. In an industrial wasteland loaded with smog and really no redeeming qualities to sit and have lunch. I've since stopped going to Gonella's since trying Lunch Wyandotte. Not to mention Lunch has a new pizza sub. It's so good, worth the try. It's made getting the old steady "8 & 2" take the back burner, which I never thought possible lol Their employees have all been cool as well. Easy to place orders with, some even shared how they prefer their subs when asked. That's something I appreciate, it tells me this employee has had & enjoys their food, and knows the menu. The owner is also friendly, he shared the history of the building, how he got started, all with a friend when she was waiting for her sub to be made. The interior food making station is clean and orderly. Wait time is standard for having a handmade sub put together. Downside: I will say that the yellow jackets buzzing around in the summer were problematic. I'm not sure what would hinder this problem though I would like to see more effort put into curtailing this, if possible. Synopsis: I still give 5 stars since the yellow jackets are only problematic a very short time of the year. This little lunch spot is the food joint i never knew Wyandotte needed. Lunch Wyandotte is apart of the little things that make Wyandotte what it is, wonderful.

Wow, what a great find today! Local area Italian bakery/grocer/deli that offers a lot of great…read moretasting food for quick carryout along with a large deli and bakery. We tried several items and would easily get all of them again: Pizza slices - generously sized square slices $2.69/slice; crunchy crust, small cup pepperonis, not too greasy and all together a great tasting slice but could use a few more pepperonis per slice Meatball sub- GREAT sauce and meatballs, and I am picky about eating anyone else's meatballs other than my own Off the Boat Hoagie: spicy capicola and other spicy coldcuts and cheese (couldn't remember them all) baked inside an extra large soft roll, served warm. It was VERY GOOD. At first seemed like a lot of bread in proportion to deli cuts, but it was a perfect ratio given the spiciness of the coldcuts inside. Cannoli - light shell and filling, not overly sweet. Really liked that they used a dusting of chocolate powder (not bitter cocoa) on the ends vs hard chocolate chips. This has become my new favorite bakery for cannolis! Definitely coming back here to try more of their hot and cold subs and dishes like lasagna, pasties, soups and pasta. Other than those fantastic cannolis they have other delectable pastries, breads, cookies and desserts to try. They also carry specialty Italian grocery items, a large deli with a good selection of meats and cheeses and cold takeout fridges with pastas, whole pizzas and lasagna to bake at home. Very friendly staff, consistent stream of customers picking up subs, pizza slices, breads, and 3 small tables with chairs in the store to sit and enjoy the food if you can't wait until you get home.

I didn't even see the place (although I did choose it), but my dad really liked it. It reminded him of one of the Claro's Italian Markets in Southern California. I was looking forward to my slices of cheese pizza, but my brother called from the deli to inform me that they only had pepperoni by the slice. Look, I get it. Most people want pepperoni, and when you're serving by the slice, you can't try all these random combos that people might not eat. But no cheese? As in the most basic pizza option? That feels wrong. When I had my veggie sandwich a little later, it was very good. My brother had persuaded the guy to throw in some additional mushrooms. The bread was top notch, and I enjoyed the sandwich. For the price, it should have either been larger or included more vegetables, cheese, all of the above, anything. My dad really enjoyed his sandwich, but my brother was left wanting by his meatball sub. The local-brand potato chips were a nice touch. They use way too much plastic wrap.
