was missing food in our large catering order. nothing was labeled, food was split up randomly. had to drive back and argue for the rest of our order and open up each package and go through the food. everything was cold by the time we brought it back to our event. extremely rude staff, literally heard them giggling in the back instead of apologizing for their mistake and for causing a delay. Had a chicken shack combo after months of not eating there (Brownstown location was terrible) and it was AMAZING! Riverview is farther from home but worth the drive! Chicken, shack potatoes & ribs were cooked perfect. I used the tracker and it was ready for me when I got there and the 3 ladies working were super friendly! Of course Yelp deleted my review so nothing has changed from reviews around the web from 4 years ago. The reviews are so bad they eliminated the Yelp page. This review from 4 years ago still the same, just shut the place down. Nickle n Dime first no Free sauce now no Free water H2o WHAT Who does this Been to this location and was always dismayed you have to pay for any sauce or hot sauce,,,now the final straw going in with the family to eat inside order the meals and a pan of slaw 2 drinks and a water cup since they don't have brewed ice tea this time of year. Did a DoorDash order of chicken bites dinner with shack potatoes; food was hot and tasty beyond expectation

I ordered from Door Dash. I ordered plenty of times before and was happy with the food and delivery. On 12/17 I ordered my usual order, chicken bites dinner. Usually it's delicious, sadly not tonight or any night going forward. The bites used to be hand breaded and tasty. Now, while they're still charging 14.49 for the dinner, it's prepackaged, small dry bites. GROSS FOOD. I would avoid this restaurant like the plague. The prepubescent "manager" hung up On me, when I called back she called me darling (I'm 64 and not darling at all!). So all in all I wonder how long they'll be in business ‍ read more

I ordered 4 white meat (2 breast 2 wings) 4 dark meat & 2 french fries. Cost $28. All meat was very little piece. Was not all that tasty. Could have gone to a restaurant, gotten 4 nice size pieces, soup, salad, potato and roll for about $10. Either eat in or carry out. Will never go to chicken shack again. Highway Robbery!!! Chicken has to have the biggest markup of any food.That last time I ordered from here the legs looked like wing dings the breast were dry I ordered 8 piece that came with 2 sides it was 27 dollars I can just say not again outrages and the food was mediocre at best. read more

Ordered chicken strips and fish. OMG! Smelled of used dirty frying oil, tasted of used dirty frying oil. Chicken was dry, tough, inedible. Threw out the majority of the dinner. For $10.99 You receive 4 pieces of chicken, a copious amount of broasted potatoes and a roll. Chicken Shack dubs this the "Chicken Dinner". Go to any other fast food restaurant and any "dinner" will cost you $5 less and you'll get a drink with the meal. Not at the shack though. Don't be surprised when your order takes 15 minutes to cook, because it will and you won't have anything to drink because drinks aren't included with the meal. I have been to this location several times and in my honest and most humble opinion, the food is nothing that special. It's good, but it's nothing to get excited over and it's not worth the price. You do get a lot of potatoes with the order but they are so bland and not that good. The restaurant itself is not very friendly, the service is awful and the workers at the register seemed just miserable. No one smiled, and the inside is a ghost town. Being a Michigan business as much as I want to support and keep on the map, Chicken Shack is simply mediocre. read more

Ordered a 24 piece chicken for Xmas dinner. They put tiny wings with barely any meat on them and count that as a piece. The chicken is incredibly dry too! Walmart and Kroger have better chicken for much cheaper. read more

Stopped in for something different. Got the rib dinner w fries, nephew got the cod and onion rings. Took about ten minutes to come out. Ribs were good, fries were ok, had been sitting a while waiting for the cod to cook. Nephew liked his cod and he got onion rings with it, got a mound of them, more than the two of us would eat. The condiments were sub par, place was clean. Most people were getting take out. All in all not a bad meal but Not a date place though! read more

Tasty, but overpriced for dinners, the tender bites snack is about the best deal and lunch comes with drinks. My biggest problem is it's always FREEZING in the dining area. I see heat vents everywhere and no thermostat, the heat is never on. It's 20 degrees outside today and it must be 45 in the building. I have to eat with a winter coat and gloves on. I love their broasted chicken and potatoes. So good. A little overpriced and the staff seems unenthusiastic but its tasty. Occasionally they send out some incredible coupons like the chicken snack, 2 pieces of chicken, potatoes and a roll for a buck. Unfortunately they skimp on quality when you use one. Typical chicken shack. Prices a bit high for what it is but i happen to enjoy it. Tenders are my favorite. The shack potatoes are incredibly greasy but are awesome. Ribs very tender and tasty. Horrible experience. Went to Chicken Shack accompanied by a few close friends. Upon our arrival, we waited for 10 minutes before an employee took our order and we were the only customers present at the time. We order 3 dinners for each of us and it costs 40 dollars! Extremely overpriced. After waiting 15 minutes for our food, we open it to notice how terriblely done the chicken was. Way too overcooked and the potatoes were drenched in potato sauce. Not to mention the dinner rolls are just bought from a brand name rather than made by themselves. Goes to show how overpriced and awful their food is, would definitely not recommend. read more
