Dr Tam is very knowledgeable and has set up his office in a way to offer different kinds of treatment. My teen with scoliosis gets the decompression machine, the special exercise machines in addition to Dr Tam's hands on work. , He is VERY kind and encouraging. He is frustrated that she does not have more than eighty minutes in a day for the many exercises at home. He really cares though and his concern is his motivation. Still, he is very kind to her about it. He is very busy but still manages to have short friendly chats snd train her on the machines. He has also taken X-rays there. Dr Tam has been the only provider who has been able to help me with my cervicogenic headaches. I had never been to a chiropractor before him and was nervous. I was having so much back and leg pain that I made an appointment, as I was desperate for pain relief from my herniated disc. Thankfully I found Benson Chiropractor. The office staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the appointment scheduling is flexible which is perfect for me. I felt pain relief after my first appointment! He and his staff are 100% responsive via phone and email, such that I can share about my needs and issues prior to walking into the office. As a working mother, daughter, daughter-in-law, wife, and general caregiver for multiple families, finding time to take care of myself is not my highest priority. Dr. Tam figured this out early on, and is one of the few people in my life who gently reminds me to take good care of myself. He often explained the specifics about my spine's progress: how it is currently, how it is supposed to be, and how it will be with proper care. I've had lower back and neck pain for quite awhile due to sitting at a desk for the past 15 years. I went to see Dr. Tam and we went through an initial evaluation where he got my medical history and also did some x-rays. Dr. Tam walked me through what he was seeing and suggested a treatment plan. It's only been a little over a month but the adjustments and exercises have already made my neck feel it's been given some WD-40 and my lower back some much needed TLC. Went in for an adjustment of my back and neck, did some stem and one crack of the back, and light treatment on my neck. Said they needed to to X-Ray before touching my neck, I did that, but then after I found out the X-Ray would take another visit to process, so ended up getting no neck adjustment. $330 for the visit, and still didn't get the neck treated. Was told I was so bad I wouldn't be able to play catch with my son when he was older. I'm early 30s and I'm good shape, this makes no sense, just fear mongering. After a car accident that caused neck pain and back pain I was referred to Dr. Tam by my brother, who has also been seeing Dr. Tam for unrelated back issues. I was in so much pain that I was losing sleep, waking up multiple times each night to adjust my position just to get comfortable. During my first appointment Dr. Tam was able to pin point the area's that needed to be worked on to relieve my pain and answered all the questions I had about recovery time, what I could do if I had a flare up between appointments, etc. After my first few visits I could already feel the difference and could finally turn my head, not to mention a good nights rest. I have been going to Dr. Tam for ages now. He is one of the best! I came in with lower back pain that affected my activity of daily living. Visited a couple of chiropractors nearby that did not focus on my area of complaint and just adjusted whatever they felt like adjusting. Dr. Tam takes time with each patient and explains what he is doing for each adjustment. He gives each patient exercises to do at home that can help strengthen the area of complaint so that the problem does not reappear and the adjustments hold. After 4-5 treatments, my lower back problems reduced significantly! I was now able to play the sports I love and continue to lift weights. I've been going to Dr. Benson since March 2017 due to a car accident. After the accident I had lower back pain, lower shoulder pain, and neck pain. The pain didn't go away and it was bothering me day and night. After seeing Dr. Benson the pain had gone down severely. And after going 3 times a week for the past month to 2 month the pain had gone down. I usually fall asleep while the electric massage work on my back. There are 4 rooms and 1 exercise room. The door bell is kinda annoying to me. The office and waiting room are clean and comfy. The check in is with a ipod which is cool. Dr. Benson knew I haven't been to a Chiropractic before and he explain the whole process, what needed to be done. He also help me deal with paper work and directly contact my lawyer. He help me check my insurance to make sure I'm covered that way I don't have to pay out of pocket. When I arrived to my appointment late, Dr. Benson was cool about it and understanding. I have been coming to Dr. Tam for 3+ years... he is truly the best chiropractor that I have ever been to! I'm very active - I run, cross-fit, HIIT, bike ride, swim, etc.. which ends up meaning that I get slight injuries. My back, hips, knees, shoulders... he has always been very knowledgable and consultative to help ensure that I'm managing my health pre&post workouts. Recently, he has helped work through some knee issues as well as tights hips... those things flare up when I run a lot I've also had quite a bit of lower back pain and the adjustments he performs, combined with the muscle stimulation machine help me rebound quickly. He takes time to show me stretches, ensure that I do it correctly and that I'm engaged in my recovery. I have to admit...
