    Lexi waiting

First and foremost DR GRILLO has stepped up to the plate for my Lexington aka Lexi. Her regular Dr Rudy was on Vaca when her urine result came in resistant to all bacteria. He worked with her other drs at AMC and found a drug to help her get better. The course of action was to receive 2 shot of this antibiotic one in am and the second at night . I had the pleasure of having Danny take care of Lexi the 9 days of her treatment . He went above and beyond his care for her and was my saviour. I've been with this office as one of the originals. He has always been great with Lexi. Everyone knows my dog is my everything literally. Danny is caring understanding loving n explains everything to me and reassured me every step of her treatment . If I could give him the best reward is that he continues to care for all the animals . He is now family thru this trying time he made my fears put to rest .DANNY thank you for all you have done . Dr Grillo thank you for going as far as DR STEVE WOULD GO FOR LEXI . YOU HAVE HIS SOUL . . You are both worth millions to me .

Some background... I had been using the same vet for years, and had been satisfied. in recent days, he seemed to lose his enthusiasm and passion, and my new pit/terrier mix rescue was showing severe skin sensitivities and allergies that my existing vet just shrugged off. Finding Dr. Zawie and the Bensonhurst Vet Care was a godsend. I found; an immaculately clean office. a young, enthusiastic, friendly staff that are obviously dedicated animal lovers. A young, well-spoken knowledgeable Vet that was thorough, created a plan of testing and treatment and was still thoughtful of the expense it would be. he called the very next day with the first lab results. Betty's treatment will be ongoing, but I'm very grateful and satisfied that I found the care and caring she needs. 10/10 tl;dr highly recommended. I couldn't be more satisfied.

This is my first time visiting BVC. They are not allowing any customer entering their office due to social distancing. They only have curbside service for now. When I got there, I called, checked in, and I brought my cat to the door. The vet tech called after they took my cat in. The vet tech is really friendly and nice. She asked thorough question to make sure she knows the background info and any medical condition of my cat. My cat is a stray cat that I have been feeding since 2020. Recently we decided to adopt her and give her a forever home. She was super nervous and scared when we put her in the carrier since it's her first time going to the vet and being in the carrier. Dr. Mikhelzon was able to calm her down and do the exam. After Dr. Mikhelzon examined her, she gave me a call to go over her findings and recommendations. Dr. Mikhelzon is able to answer all my questions. Then we did the payment over the phone with front desk. After my cat got her vaccines and blood work, Dr. Mikhelzon brought her out and go over a bunch of brochures which have info my cat might need. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Everyone wore masks, and followed social distancing. Thank you Dr. Mikhelzon!

I found this place on yelp last year 2017 (I think) and figure I give it a shot. Bensonhurst Veterinary by far has been the best experience I have encountered. The girls at the front desk are always pleasant in person and via phone. The annual check ups and vaccine are a breeze. Everything is done quickly and efficiently. I don't think I have ever waited for my dog Max to be seen. Out of pocket expenses are reasonable. Compared to the city where I would end up paying arm and leg w/ a wait time. - I honestly don't have anything negative to say about this place. It's even better then my own doctors office I go to. Dr. Zaccheo is Max's Veterinarian Doctor. Very efficient and attentive w/ my questions and concerns! I am obsessed and love my dog to death. & want nothing but the best care for him. If I had to choose between my own parents and my dog. I choose my dog w/ no hesitations. Highly recommend this place!

I've searched without success for years for an adequate veterinary provider, as my five-year-old cat, Rex, gets extremely stressed and anxious going to the vet's office. Comfort Paws offers the in-home alternative we need, and I'm so grateful for their services. Dr. Irons was prompt, friendly, organized, and communicative. She listened carefully to my concerns about Rex's health and my characterization of his temperament, and approached him in a way that allowed her to do a much more thorough examination than any other vet has without upsetting him unduly. When he became agitated near the end of the visit (as most cats would when receiving shots), she gave him the space he needed to calm down and monitored his body language and signals to prevent any injury or further distress. Comfort Paws will continue to be our go-to vet going forward, and I'm so happy to have found somewhere that can work with us to make sure Rex--who's a very sweet, amiable kitty, but who happens to be a large cat with major fears around medical treatment--can thrive.

From the very beginning, she was gentle, thoughtful, and deeply respectful of both our dog and our family. I might also add that while it wasn't yet an emergency situation, she was able to come on very short notice, which alleviated our dog's pain, and our emotional discomfort. She moved at a pace that honored what we were going through, explaining everything clearly while also knowing when to step back and simply give us space. Our dog was able to pass peacefully, surrounded by love, in an environment that felt calm and intentional rather than clinical. In a moment filled with overwhelming grief, she brought a sense of steadiness and grace that we won't forget. She provided compassionate care at the moment we needed it most. We are incredibly grateful and thankful, and would recommend her without hesitation to anyone facing this heartbreaking decision.

I was expecting the staff to be compassionate and helpful, and they were beyond nice. The inside is very cozy, but the patient rooms look modern and clean. 3. Brooklyn Heights is fancy, so I wasn't sure what to expect when it came to the bill. My dog Jeffrey had to renew all his annual vaccinations plus his three-year vaccinations. He had a full wellness check, including bloodwork and a fecal test. He had the works. It was expensive, but not unreasonable. Across all 5 vaccines and testing, it was maybe $100 more compared to prices at our last VCA vet in Boerum Hill. I was expecting more TBH. They also swabbed Jeffrey's ear to check for bacteria, and I did not see this on our bill. Thank you for that, Dr Chan! 4. I had read some reviews of people complaining about how the staff was difficult when asked for price breakdowns. I DID ask, and they were so kind. They really went out of their way to explain everything to me before I was charged or any procedures/testing had been done. If you had any questions or concerns with pricing, I would not hesitate to ask their staff, as they could not have been more accommodating. 5. Dr. Chan and her assistant (I'm looking for her name!) really went out of their way to adore Jeffrey. When I arrived at VERG they quickly triaged her, took her into the clinic immediately, and put her on oxygen. After a thorough exam, Dr. Karen Li sat down with me to go over the options. At that point my cat's breathing was very labored and she had an enlarged heart. Dr. Li didn't feel the echocardiogram was necessary because all Maggie's symptoms pointed in one direction. Dr. Li carefully explained her condition and the pros and cons of our limited options. The first option we discussed might have extended her life by a few weeks, but it would have required a lot of medication and potentially a painful procedure to drain fluid, and Maggie would not be comfortable. The other option was euthanasia to give her a comfortable and compassionate end. Dr. Li supported my decision to end her life to avoid any further suffering. Dr. Li was with me through the procedure and was amazingly kind and compassionate. I was able to hold Maggie the whole time so she could feel my love. Dr. Li gave me all the time I wanted with my cat both before and after; I never felt rushed to either make a decision or have the procedure. It was a very difficult day but Dr. Li and everyone else at VERG - from the admissions desk, to the triage nurse, to the grief counselor - were exceeding professional, kind and caring. I felt that both my cat and I got the best possible service in this scenario and felt very cared for. VERG didn't suggest any additional tests or procedures, although they could have. I appreciated that. It was a heartbreaking day but Dr. Li and the entire VERG staff made it as comfortable as possible. Based on my experience I recommend and would trust VERG in an emergency situation to do the right thing and take care of a beloved pet.
