Single paw print - not sure "which" paw this is. Sadly, my cat's already been cremated - so it's not like I can have another made.
    Yvette G.

I haven't written a review on Yelp in years - but I am doing so today, because I don't want people to be subjected to what I have been dealing with for over a year. I have been seeing Dr. Thomson for all my pet care needs since 2005 - and have followed her to every clinic she has ever worked at, until she opened this clinic as her own. I used to think that she was very caring and genuinely concerned about her patients - but that is no longer the case. She's rarely available to take phone calls and when you leave a message for her to call you back, you're lucky if she gets the message at all. If you send her an email, your chances might be a bit better but, not by much. Since the pandemic, she is even less available to her clients and when she does speak w/you (over the phone), she is rushed and speaks to you as if you know all the in/outs of the medical condition(s) your pet may have, as well as not explaining things thoroughly or to your understanding. This poses a problem, because I'm never really sure "what" it is my pet has, or "what" my options are regarding any particular medical situation. Her staff, as other posters have already mentioned here, aren't any better. They are rude, entitled, disrespectful and unprofessional. I'm not sure "why" there are always so many new reception/front desk staff there but, perhaps if they hired 2-3 full time, experienced, employees (instead of young "kids") they might have a more organized and professional staff taking care of their clients - but it seems they are not interested in that. They hired an "office manager" a year or so ago and he's THE WORST person I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with! He's disrespectful, condescending, combative and unapologetic. Frankly, they were better off without him - as all he has done is made me realize that I can find a better environment for me and my pets elsewhere! The final straw was today, when he called me to tell me that I am not "allowed" to call their hospital, and that ALL communications with them, had to go through HIM - as if I had ever been anything but respectful with ALL of them! And, I am only allowed to call the hospital directly *IF* (and I quote) it is a "bona fide" emergency, or to return Dr. Thomson's phone calls (when you're lucky enough to actually receive a phone call from her)! Do yourself a favor - go somewhere else. There are so many other veterinary clinics out there, where you don't have to put up with disrespectful employees and having to call or email *SEVERAL* times, in order to get some sort of follow-up! I had to call them several times, as well as follow-up w/several emails, in order to FINALLY be told by their office manager that my cat's paw print was something they did as a "courtesy," and that I should be grateful that I got one at all, as they do this service from "the goodness of their heart." They don't charge for the paw prints - but they also don't take prints of BOTH their paws or tell you "which" paw they took a print of, if they only take one paw!! This place is a shit-show - and it all starts with the people at the front desk, and ends with a doctor that doesn't care about how her patients are treated. Sad - 15 years of what I THOUGHT was a friendship, not just a doctor/patiend relationship, gone!

They are awful when it comes to returning phone calls which is frustrating. It's also the most expensive vet I have ever been to.

Dr. Thomson is awesome! She's answered all my questions as a new dog parent and even helped us out via email while we were out of town.

I've searched without success for years for an adequate veterinary provider, as my five-year-old cat, Rex, gets extremely stressed and anxious going to the vet's office. Comfort Paws offers the in-home alternative we need, and I'm so grateful for their services. Dr. Irons was prompt, friendly, organized, and communicative. She listened carefully to my concerns about Rex's health and my characterization of his temperament, and approached him in a way that allowed her to do a much more thorough examination than any other vet has without upsetting him unduly. When he became agitated near the end of the visit (as most cats would when receiving shots), she gave him the space he needed to calm down and monitored his body language and signals to prevent any injury or further distress. Comfort Paws will continue to be our go-to vet going forward, and I'm so happy to have found somewhere that can work with us to make sure Rex--who's a very sweet, amiable kitty, but who happens to be a large cat with major fears around medical treatment--can thrive.

From the very beginning, she was gentle, thoughtful, and deeply respectful of both our dog and our family. I might also add that while it wasn't yet an emergency situation, she was able to come on very short notice, which alleviated our dog's pain, and our emotional discomfort. She moved at a pace that honored what we were going through, explaining everything clearly while also knowing when to step back and simply give us space. Our dog was able to pass peacefully, surrounded by love, in an environment that felt calm and intentional rather than clinical. In a moment filled with overwhelming grief, she brought a sense of steadiness and grace that we won't forget. She provided compassionate care at the moment we needed it most. We are incredibly grateful and thankful, and would recommend her without hesitation to anyone facing this heartbreaking decision.

Dr. Daniel Bloomfield caused my senior frail cat unnecessary distress, exhaustion and…read moredisorientation. He harmed her by treating her for a symptom that was-not-my chief complaint, was not anywhere at the top of my very pressing and clearly expressed concerns. Dr. Bloomfield gave my cat an injection today for a symptom that was not even present, despite the fact that I texted, emailed, and verbalized my chief complaint & worrisome concerns to both to Bond Vet and directly to Dr. Bloomfield. My little cat is experiencing GI sensitivity. Over the past 2 days she's come very close to not-eating-at-all-for-24-hours, is sleeping a bit more than usual and is showing a near total DISINTEREST in eating. My little Missy is less than 5 pounds. She's very tiny & adorable, but also very frail (experiencing weight lost and near her complete limits). I was told by Dr. Bloomfield (and confirmed by his assistant) that Cerenia was an appetite inducing stimulant (and if it worked as hoped), would last for 24 hours. Seeing the lethargic, disoriented condition of Little Missy, I Googled Cerenia. It is NOT an appetite stimulant, it's PAINFUL (upon injection), causes LETHARGY and Disorientation. Why did my little Missy need this? Let alone Dr. Daniel Bloomfield did not handle Little Missy's body with compassion and respect; treated her tail like it was a handle (literally tugged on her tail) during the exam to get a look at her tush; not aggressively, yet, absolutely-not-gently. His "consult" was very fatalistic, he ignored my concerns, ignored my cat's smaller symptoms that -are- treatable to improve the quality of her life & instead was hyper-focused on her senior age. Both his dismissive and inattentive behavior during the consult and the Cerenia shot were harmful. Dr. Bloomfield caused Missy distress, sedation and disorientation. He worsened the very symptoms we came to him to address (with an extra "side" of disorientation that Missy did-not-have prior to his "treatment").
