Honestly, I was wildly underwhelmed after how much it was hyped up. It reminds me a bit of Zia Records in Phoenix, but a version that has kind of lost the plot. Their record selection was much smaller than I was expecting, as the knick knacks and gifts have all but swallowed the store. I understand in this market, to survive you gotta sell socks...but the sheer overwhelming amount of tchotchkes prattling to Swifties and pop culture made the shop seem incredibly dorky and visually overwhelming. It felt more like a tourist spot than an actual record store and was not very relaxing to browse in. Not to mention how pricey the tchotchkes and such are. $8 for a sticker? No thanks. Their t-shirts have a premium as well, at least $5-10 more than other local record stores. The record selection was...okay. They had some cool stuff as far as reissues but the markup was high. (Which I understand because distributers already charge a premium). The used records were alright, I found some cheap gems in the $2-5 range that were in the VG+ range. But it was nowhere near what I expected. I still supported them, but I doubt this would be a return spot for me since I'm spoiled by Zia and Amoeba. I love what they provide for the community, but it's probably not the spot for more serious record collectors who want to browse without a bunch of kids yelling next to them.

My wife had an appointment with the nail salon located next to this record store. When she asked the record store owner, who was standing in the hallway where the women's restroom was, he became enraged, yelling several profanities at her and called her a f**king stupid bitch at the top of his lungs. This of course was witnessed by others from the nail salon next door. All for needing to use a restroom. The Police were called and responded due to his violent nature and temper. There is no excuse for this behavior, whatever it was he was going through at the time and we are now in the process of seeking legal recourse against this owner. This really shook her to her very core! Stay very clear of this store!

Depending on who the vendor is, you'll find tea cups, dolls, furniture, sports memorabilia, etc. This shop is very bright and vibrant which is nice. It's great to have good lighting in the venue for people to check things out. I ended up not finding what I was looking for but I probably could have bought every tea cup in this joint. I love tea cups. This shop was fun to walk around and check out. I look forward to coming back and seeing if I can find any treasures next time.

There is a MASSIVE collection of records in every genre. The records are very competitively priced and there were tons of collectible records in exceptional condition. Ask for Bill or Rori, their music knowledge is exceptional and they are great at finding the exact albums you are looking for. There is something here for everyone from coin collectors to art and even clothing pattern collectors. The space is really big so plan on looking around for a while. I used to collect insulators and found a bunch here and while I no longer collect them, it made me smile. If you are out hunting for interesting finds, it is worth the trip to Caldwell to check it out and if you are a record collector this is a must in your travels and will become a regular stop.
