Wanted something light after hiking and found this tasty poke bowl place. It's a pretty chill restaurant with a calm ambience. I had the Buffs Poke Bowl which had spicy tuna and a variety of other things. It was really flavorful and fresh. My only complaint is that the rice had an odd texture and was maybe just a big too mushy. I could have used just a little more rice to balance out the other ingredients. Overall, it's a great place to grab a light lunch. read more

They put caviar and seaweed on my eel poke bowl, which I don't like and they were not in a description on a menu! Portions are small, not worth $10 for something that looks like 1 serving (1 cup). Way too much eel sauce, I wasn't able to taste anything else. Grocery-store quality food, I think King Soopers has these for $5 but way bigger. Disappointed and still hungry read more

I had the Korean poke bowl and I was pleasantly surprised! The fish was freshly cut in bite sized pieces and I was given a generous portion. There was a slight vinaigrette on the salad and I was given a red sauce like goguchang sauce that went well with the entire dish. Serving size was perfect. I left satisfied. read more

POKE BOWLS!! So good. I would not dine here however. It is in the college part of town where everything is scuzzy and you have to worry about getting robbed I think. Parking is a mess and short term at most. I go here and order on site and then leave. It is so good and so tasty that I dont mind the hassle of getting here. read more

I had just moved here from Las Vegas and poke is always a favorite meal of mine and this is by far the best place I have been to in Colorado. I've been working in Boulder for a little over 6 months and what I've come to find out is nothing is cheap. I so happened to come across Bento-ria and I couldn't be happier that I did! Everything on the menu is delicious. The prices are unbeatable and unheard of in Boulder! They offer a good variety of both bowls and sushi, and you can't be disappointed with either. I've been having a lot of reminiscing when it comes to Hawaii and their poke bowls. Soooo I decided to go out on a hunt for a legit one in Boulder..... and then came across this gem. Oh my god. The prices are fabulous and the food even better so. They even have vegetarian bowls and sushis. The sushis are authentically made. I love how they had some Asian television on for the customers. the quality of the fish is not great but its not spoiled and the rice is acceptable so its ok for those on a tight budget but we will never go again. Their sides like the pork stickers were disgusting. they tasted like they were AIR FRIED Horrible. threw most of it away. read more

A poke bowl is basically deconstructed sushi. Sushi is delicious. Deconstructed sushi is also delicious. This particular restaurant makes poke bowls that are extremely reasonably priced and the portions are more than sufficient. The employees at this particular restaurant serve you these poke bowls as if you are doing them a gigantic favor by eating their delicious cooking; you are not. I was in Boulder for three days and I ate here twice. I regretted nothing. Eat here. read more

Bento-ria was a pleasant surprise. We picked up two bowls, poke and salmon and a few salmon and tuna rolls for our kids with miso soup. This is a family owned and run business, and they were very friendly, fast and the food was pretty good for such a casual place. I love that they deliver! So I will tap into that service next time for sure! read more

We came too early before they opened but the owners greeted us and explained the hours. Yelp said 10:30 am but they opened at 11:00 am. I know this is just a super little casual spot up on the hill, but in my book it deserves five stars but I'd give it six if that were possible! First of all, we ordered using the eat 24 yelp delivery service: the entire process from ordering to knowing exactly what the status updates were to getting the food delivered...within the timeframe...everything was perfect!! Once the food arrived I was just so impressed with the presentation even within all the to go containers. The food was fresh and amazing and so delicious and the avocados were perfectly ripe, the sauces were all perfectly prepared. We tried several things-- everything from the potstickers, to the tuna poke bowl, the combination California roll includes the spicy and the crunchy California rolls...terriyaki chicken bowl... I'm not kidding everything was delicious and i will order everything again! I won't even bother ordering any sub par delivery Chinese or Thai food from anywhere else from now on. This is a family-run business with really nice people, excellent customer service, efficient ordering, and fast-served food. Prices are very reasonable for college students. Quality of food is very good! Vegetarians have several options, i.e. avocado rolls, vegetable poke bowl with no fish, vegetarian ramen with miso soup base (if you don't eat fish then ask for no bonito flakes), vegetarian udon with miso soup base (best), miso soup, edamame, and inari (rice in tofu skin). If you ask for no fish cakes for the noodles, they can replace them with avocado - just ask and see what they will do for you. All sushi comes with ginger, wasabi, and soy sauce. An example of how nice they are is that the owner noticed how much my vegetable ramen soaked up the soup because I was busy eating avocado rolls, and he offered to put more miso soup in it so it wouldn't be so dry. Very nice people. The cashiers have always been super nice every time I go. For water dispenser they have both cold and hot water options. If water isn't your thing, they have a few drink options, i.e. Arizona tea and soda. They are indeed on HungryBuffs for hungry college students so that's a real plus. This is only true 5 star rating I've ever given, and bento has certainly earned it. No other place around the Hill has even remotely comparable quality and consistency in my 3 years of experience in Boulder. Nothing is perfect, yet despite that the only negative thing that I can recall is their price inflation in the past few years. However, with the current economy their price increase is at least partially forgivable (keep in mind I do not have the resources of the world in my hand, I am a college student). Personally I value health and taste first and foremost, and bento place fulfills that with reliable consistency. I get the combo B, and if I'm hungry, extra salmon nigiri if I'm hungry. Even as someone who exercises frequently and eats 10 eggs plus oatmeal in the morning, I find anything more than the combo B to be sufficiently filling and satiating. read more

My order wasn't accurate -- I had to go up to the counter to ask for missing items that I had paid to add (edamame and a side of jalapeño aioli), but I was given them without a fuss. Everything was delicious and portion sizes were generous. I'd love to come back next time I'm in the area.

The large booths are fabulous so my husband and I can't sit next to each other and to watch the staff make the sushi is special as well. Thank you for another amazing dinner experience!
