**November 2025: Monday Late Afternoon Visit** If you're looking for Montana's pride and joy Bequet Caramels are it! I saw single candies as well as bags of these confections at various groceries stores and speciality shops, and knew that their presence throughout Bozeman meant that they were definitely something Montana was proud of. What I like about this factory storefront is that you can sample the different caramel flavors before purchase and that they sell all flavors including discontinued ones (Espresso) and seasonal flavors (Pumpkin Pie, Smore, Peppermint Hot Chocolate). On my visit they had the following flavors available in the 24oz: Chipotle, Celtic Sea Salt, Salt-Chocolate, Butterscotch, Chocolate, Chewy, Chocolate L'orange, Salted Butterscotch, Salted Mocha, and Green Apple. I really like the Celtic Sea Salt and the Chocolate L'orange! I've visited several shops in Bozeman and the majority sell a select number of flavors and are only available in in the 3.6 oz or 4oz clear packaging. If you want the big 24oz Resealable Pouches ($29.50) with the most flavor variety coming here will give you the greatest selection. read more

We were introduced to this wonderful, award winning, caramel confection a few years ago. Since then it has become periodically available at Costco and always on line. Passing through Bozeman we were determined to find their mother ship. Located in a small, unassuming facility we stopped in for a peek. There is a small parking lot available with easy access. The lobby area serves as their on site shop and is stack. There are windows that allow you to watch the operation and it's amazing to think that what is a relatively little factory supports their huge business! We were pleasantly greeted and offered a few samples that include some limited release items that were awesome!!! Quality products that make for great presents. Amazing!!! Someone sent our Company a 5 lb mixed Bo as a gift. It was hard to decide which was the beast flavor. Salted Caramel and (surprisingly) Apple were tied for first place. No chemicals, no artificial flavors, no preservatives, natural sea salt, and hormone-free milk, cream and butter. Made in USA (Bozeman, Montana) I bought a 5lb box of Apple for family for Halloween. And a 5lb box of Sea Salt Butterscotch for Christmas dinner. 12 caramels fit pretty well in 5"x7" or 4"x6" candy bags from Amazon. There is around 192 caramels (16 dozen) in a 5lb box. read more

Many years ago I had a few of my football (Massapequa Mustangs) friends over for a get together. Buff Bequet was kind enough to bring a box of Caramels from his sisters company. From this day on, I buy my Caramels from Bequet Confections even though she has since sold her company. Recommend buying a mixed bag and then single out the ones you like and order your favorites. I live in NY and have visited the store in Bozeman and it's only a few minutes from the airport. There is no doubt that Bequet caramels are delicious tasting candies, but beware, the Bequet Celtic Sea Salt caramels can come with rather large pieces of salt rock in them. Unknowingly, I bit down into one of the salt pieces in the caramel candy and it cracked my tooth in half. Biting into that piece of salt was like biting into a tiny pebble. I went into the store the other day, having not been there in quite some time. I wanted to purchase some Carmel's and see what's new. Let's just say I won't be going back, I will just order on line or buy at Costco. Let me tell you why, the girl working the desk/ counter acted as though I was an inconvenience. After I tried to be friendly and make some small talk with her all I received in return was a blank stare. After I told her it was going to be a little bit because I wanted to really look at their selection, she just stood there staring at me as if I was going to steal a Carmel! She literally had the personality of a wet noodle! For someone that represents the company and their first impression of the business she is a very bad choice. Not welcoming or friendly in the least! I felt rushed, like I was an inconvenience to her and totally judged! I am not planning on ever returning and plan on sharing my experience with all my friends. First impressions are so important and she failed your business completely! read more

My family and I had such an amazing time on our recent trip to Bequet. I live in Bozeman, but rarely make it into the factory store. We had relatives in town so I got to play tourist with them. The young girl working the front was extremely helpful and gave us some great recommendations of caramels to try. We ended up buying the flavors she suggested after we tried them. She could not have been nicer. I typically just stick with sea salt but cinnamon may be my new favorite. We stayed here longer than I had planned because my relatives and I were having such a good time chatting with her. I first tasted a Bequet caramel while staying at The Summit Hotel in Big Sky. Our evening turndown service included a caramel on the pillow. I never thought of caramels as being anything special until I placed a Bequet caramel on my tongue. OMG! My first thought was..."where can I buy these?" Upon reading the label I discovered that they were made in Bozeman. We visited the factory store, tasted samples of the many varieties and brought home caramels for ourselves and gifts for friends. The factory store also sells batch run ends (caramels that are not perfectly portioned) at a promotional discount. No high fructose corn syrup or chemicals...just pure ingredients and amazing flavor. read more

HAbsolutely the best caramels ever! Flavors are full bodied and require no guessing as to what you are eating. Yummmm! They are the best and make a perfect gift for any occasion. Customer service is wonderful. Everyone is patient, helpful, you're never rushed, and your order arrives as ordered and quickly. One thing to watch out for: You better deliver them to the intended recipient, or you could very well end up eating them before they make it out of your house! LOL A suggestion: Double your intended order! This id the 2nd time I've had to call to get a rush order because I simply wanted to give a more robust gigt. Plus.....I ate some already! I showed up at the factory in Montana. Not much automation in the factory, carmel's are inspected and weighed by hand. The rejects are then sold cheapier, and boy are they good. Amazing Carmel's. Talk about some of the best customer service I've had! I somehow dropped a few numbers from my mailing address when I placed my order, and some lucky soul received my girlfriend's Valentine's Day present. I placed a second order, and asked in the comments section if they could send it with a signature required this time because of the lost caramels. Despite the address mistake being my fault, they sent me my replacement order free of charge! Not only that, it was well past the "order by" date to get in time for Valentine's Day, but somehow it made it from Montana to Florida in time for Feb. 14th. For anyone who hasn't tried these, they are unbelievably good. Honestly, they could have the worst customer service in the world, and you would find me begging them to sell me a bag of the Celtic sea salt caramels. Received a box of assorted Bequet Caramels as a welcome gift for renting a place in Big Sky, MT. No wonder the property management company chose this gift to impress their clients! I gave up sweets 4 years ago and now am only tempted by only the most scrumptious like Godiva chocolates or Cheesecake Factory cheesecakes. So, when the box of caramels was being passed around, I took my usual small obligatory bite, assuming that all caramels would be like the hard squares of Brach caramels, which are edible, but nothing to write home about. Unfortunately, the Bequet Caramels were soooo amazing that for the first time in years, I ate a whole piece of candy and had to ask for the rest to be hidden because I was so tempted to eat more. Okay, I admit it...I ate two whole pieces! wow!!!! talk about no concept of customer service. placed orders for christmas 2012 deliveries all in los angeles ca. one order is no where to be found so i called them. first i'm told by lindsay to "give it a day or two". folks, please keep in mind this is a week before christmas. i told her this didn't seem an adequate response and asked to speak to someone else. peggy comes on the line with simply "this is peggy". no i'm sorry to hear theres a problem what can we do to help, let me get another order out asap. i again had to repeat what i had already told lindsay and peggy says "if i send out another order, you'll refuse the 2nd package if the first one shows up, right?" wow, wow, wow!!! these are caramels were talking about. obviously, this company is much more concerned about a few extra rapidly-aging candies falling into the wrong hands than giving quality customer service. i will never order from them again and i recommend no one else does either! this company has all the indicators of a small business on the way down. read more
