I had seen Dr. Chaplik about 4 times over course of 2 years. I pointed out to him a spot under my eye on 3 visits and he said it was just age. It turned out to be squamous cell carcinoma. On my last visit I pointed out another spot on my leg and he indicated it wasn't anything. Just age. I just found out it is also squamous cell carcinoma. I told Dr. Chaplik when we met that I am BRCA2 positive and my chances of developing cancer are greater than most because of this gene. I liked him, but I believe the practice is focused on beauty, dermabrasion, fillers, peels, etc. and not on cancer at all (although I made the appointments specifically for skin cancer checks. read more

Dr Chaplik was terribly confident that he could help me with my skin situation...Personally I was not so sure after having dealt with all different skin symptoms and 5 different doctors!!! Dr. Chaplik is the answer to my prayers. At the age of 60, I noticed I was getting jowly. The front desk staff was problematic from the initial telephone contact. Still, I decided to give this doctor a chance, however, when I arrived for my appointment, the angry, rude receptionist was even more difficult in person. The front office team is a sloppy disaster. There is a permeable atmosphere of disrespect, disregard, and downright contempt for patients from the moment you enter. I went to him months ago because of problems with my skin including some type of fungus. His script for my skin was worthless. Today I went to see him again (definitely for the last time) because my scalp has been itching so badly. When I reminded him of the history of this problem he commented "Oh you never listen to me". I've been seeing Dr Chaplik for years for my usual derm care as I grew up in South Florida with fair skin. Being a physician I tend to be very detail oriented and selective when it comes to my own health care. My treatments included Mohs as well as topical chemo and I've always felt like i was in excellent hands. More recently Dr Chaplik and Nicole performed RF micro needling and even laser resurfacing for my acne scars and wrinkled sun damaged skin. The results are amazing and I couldn't be happier. Dr. Chaplik is without a shadow of a doubt the most knowledgable, compassionate, gifted and professional dermatologist that I have ever had the honor of seeing. I have been to numerous dermatologists throughout much of South Florida, from large practices to one-man-shows, and after discussing my skin care concerns with a variety of friends, coworkers, and medical professionals, the general consensus was that I needed to make an appointment with Dr. Chaplik as quickly as possibly. After years of competitive swimming without paying any mind to the need for sun protection, I found myself facing rather horrific sun-related complications and skin damage beyond what I could have ever imagined. While my initial visit with Dr. Chaplik consisted of me showing him a few areas of concern that I had marked with a Sharpie prior to the appointment (I had many doctors completely skip over areas that later required in-depth biopsies, so I was rightfully cautious), and essentially telling him my sob story about swimming outdoors in Florida, Dr. Chaplik was refreshingly eager and interested in my case. He immediately showed how well-rounded of a clinician he is by thoroughly examining every square inch of my body - and explaining in detail about areas that other doctors could never fully explain - and his bedside manner and occasional humorous remarks only made me feel more relaxed and cared for as a patient. Fast forward a few years, a few biopsies, a few treatments, and a few children later, and I can safely say that I will never again use another dermatologist for myself or my family: Dr. Chaplik is a rare find! His diagnostic accuracy is remarkable, his ability to listen, analyze and evaluate is top-notch, and although he specializes in preventing and treating skin cancers (which is why he was so strongly recommended to me), he is skilled at such a wide variety of skin treatments and procedures, and I know that I am always in the best hands when I enter his office. This is not your normal doctors office. They have figured out the value of patient care. It started with the greeting when we walked in. The lady was smiling and very friendly and this continued throughout from the assistant to the lady's at the checkout desk. Everyone there seems to be having fun and they make you feel very well taken care of. And then there is dr green. Excellent. Upon the recommendation of a friend, I started by bringing my young son the Dr. Chaplik a few years back because he had eczema that I couldn't get under control. Then the molluscom started and tho I had a bunch of medicine from the pediatrician I wasn't sure how to use them. The dr went through the regimen and within a couple of months it was all under control. After that I started seeing him for skin checks and because I had extensive sun exposure/damage, anti-aging treatments. He's conservative - I have sensitive skin and Rosacea - so it's taken a good year but the results are impressive. No one thinks I look my age. Now that's a great experience! Dr Igor Chaplik was my worst experience with a doctor ever. I looked for a good doctor for my son with good revues. But after my visit I have to really say that all of the 5 star comments are fake or written by his friends. I came to his office with my 5 year old with a bad rash problem on his face that he has had for about 6-7 months. From the first minute to last minute, Dr Chaplik was very mean, rude and obnoxious. When I started to explain the problem he interrupted me, said that he doesn't see any problems and advised to come again if the rash gets worse. He made me feel like I was wasting his time. I don't know why he acted like he did, probably he had a bad day or was in a bad mood, but this is no reason to be rude with a patient, especially when the patient is a child. He provided me with no advice except to watch my sons' diet, he gave me a cream that I already had and was ineffective and actually during the visit stated not to use. I am really disappointed and will never come back to his office. read more
