A pipe w/spigot for a hose that I use to wash my lanai broke due to workers damaging it while installing a new screen porch frame. I called burgeron plumbing for slow drains, I was immediately given an idea to try before the costly drain snakes and service call. I just had one of Daves guys at my house. I didn't have hot water going to my shower. I was referred to Dave by a friend, called around 3 on Tuesday. He had someone here by 8:15am Wednesday. His estimates were fast and seemed knowledgable. The price was high. That's my huge downfall. I am pretty sure I just paid about $110 just in LABOR! Which took about 30 min to fix. ( if that) Total was $195 for rebuild shower valve & stem kits. They assured me that they were licensed and I felt comfortable and was decently satisfied. My water heater was rusted and started leaking, so I called about 5 different plumbers in the Delray area. Spoke with Richard at Bergeron. He seemed reasonable and gave me a quote over the phone of $795 including the tank, plus $75 for the permit. He scheduled someone to come out tomorrow morning between 9 and 11. I'll update this review after the work is done... OK, next day. Jeff showed up at about 10:30. He had a tall tank with him; mine was a short tank. So he had to replace some pipes so everything would fit. Dave, the owner, also showed up and lent a hand. They didn't charge extra for the pipework. Other plumbers I had called mentioned an extra charge for that. They finished their work before noon. The new tank looks great, and the pipework is slick. They charged me exactly what they had quoted, and Jeff was a very personable guy. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. Thanks guys for a job well done. read more

I called this business about replacing my water heater 2 days ago. The person I spoke to was going to send me a text message detailing an estimate for the job. No text message or estimate was every received. Then I called yesterday, 5/1/2020, and spoke to someone else. He was given all the information and also my email address. He stated he would have it sent to me in about 10 minutes. To date, 5/2/2020, no estimate has been sent. Called them today and left a message. Let me start off by saying I have used them in the past with very little problems and fair pricing. Last week they came to install a new Moen shower valve that I supplied. I should also preface that I was the CEO of one of the largest construction related business in North America so I have quite a bit of experience with subcontractors and know what things cost. When I called for the appointment I told the woman on the phone that the install was going to require a cut out in the drywall and could they bring a panel. She said she would make a note of it and have one on the truck. After waiting about a week their plumber showed up. He informed me that he had no panel and it was company policy that they don't install them and don't repair drywall. I asked the plumber if he could cut a rectangle and save me the piece so I could flash patch the wall. He cut the hole on an angle and measured wrong so he had to cut an other piece which made more work for me. My big complaint was the price. To be transparent he did tell me the price prior to commencing the work. 800.00 dollars. When I said that was steep he asked if I wanted him to leave so I could shop it.. At that point we had been without a shower in that bathroom and I figured that I had other work and I would talk to the owner Dave and perhaps negotiate a credit to be used on other work. I called Dave three time and he refused to return my call which is very bush and unprofessional. The plumber was no speed demon and he was back in his truck in 2:55 min. The average price in the US to install a shower valve with wall penetration is 400.00. This is just plain gouging in my opinion. I would call someone else for your plumbing needs. read more

Had okay conversation, but was told to call back on Monday when he sets up his schedule and can give me a time. Call back today. At first he didn't seem to remember but then back full force. He reiterated what he claimed was the quote he had given me on Thursday. It was higher and included $25.00 pick up fee to get the toilet from Home Depot. His first conversation said simply he would pick up the toilet at Home Depot and said nothing about an additional fee. Also he quoted a higher price commode. I challenged him that prices are not the same. He became condescending. I told him to cancel the appointment. He responded but I honestly don't remember what he said right now.
