I went from bowling somewhere over 50 to a consistent 100. The bathrooms are clean and the food is decent for bowling alley food (soft pretzel and beer is a classic for a reason). The bar is nice and the bartender Sam is nicer. While it is true that Bowlero has the reputation of gobbling up bowling alleys across the country, there's no hint of corporate detachment from most of the amazing staff at the Alameda location (aside from the one surly chum who seems to hate everyone who checks in), but everyone else is genuinely kind, helpful, and someone I look forward to seeing.
