    Cute NES-era LoZ cabinet

Tiny but well curated selection of games! It's clear how much love the owners put into their cabinets. I went for a private event (family birthday) here and was finally able to beat the Simpsons side scroller on free play. I like that the space is clean and has an impressive collection, but I would probably only just do another private event here because I still don't trust small spaces without diligently masked folks.

This is the first arcade I've been to in the Bay Area, we had one we would frequent in Washington. This one is much smaller, but I do like the fact that it is paid by the hour. I don't know if it is less or more expensive that way, but it's more convenient than carrying around a cup of quarters. The establishment is clean, and all the games were in working order. I also got my kid to play guitar hero, so that was pretty awesome. I'll probably come back, it's a pretty good time, in a pretty great neighborhood.

Came in with my husband and sons. Be prepared that everyone that comes in has to pay. I was a little taken aback but it was ok I not a gamer but since I had to pay I tried a few games. It is a small arcade that has mostly old school games but my teen sons didn't mind and found many games to play. My husband had a great time playing his old school favorites. We would visit again.

If you are a nerd (like me) and love the vintage 80-90s games and just games overall you will love this I have seen the staff help many people and just treat you well its great for everyone and at the front have great movie, trading cards, and pins! Its also has a great amount of space so I don't know why people are complaining

I had frequented the Hayward Location when they were there and can tell you that they really care about preserving the video games for generations to come. It's a shame that they are no longer in Hayward but if you are in Alameda, it's something to do on your bucket list or just to visit anytime. And.... That Famous Zelda Arcade Machine.... That's love put into classic gaming! I hope to be out in Alameda one day when time permits to relive my childhood again. Support local businesses!

Some cool nostalgic games. It was smaller than I expected, maybe 25 games. Several games were not functional.

What food is not allowed for private parties? Can we bring decorations?

Hi there! Generally we see people bring in pizza, cupcakes, little handheld snacks. We don’t have a private party room or formal seating for eating, it’s all on the general game floor with our typical stools, so “standing room only” type of foods… Read more

How's the parking here? Free street parking? Meter? Garage?

Hello! There is metered street parking in the public lot behind our building as well as on the street, and it is generally not too difficult to snag a spot. For longer stays or on more competitive weekend days, there is a municipal parking garage… Read more

Would this place be entertaining for a 4-5 year old? Are there any arcades for that age group?

Honestly, no. These are the stand-up coin operated machines from the 80s. At 4 or 5 years old a child would have a hard time seeing the screen or accessing the controls.… Read more

I'm giving the lodge a four star for my dining experience and an enjoyable evening. My husband has been here more than a few times to play games of pool with our friendly neighbor and one of his friends. I have been here before for another event almost three years ago. The interior is beautiful, but the walls are thin. One can actually hear people talking in the next room. Our meeting place was the Mahogany Room for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. I did not want to stuff myself with the appetizers and not have enough room in my stomach for the main entree - crab. Nor did I want any libation before the meal. After the cocktail hour, we were escorted to the Rathskeller (basement of the lodge) where the dinner was held. The gentlemen on the waitstaff were lined up in an orderly manner, serving us whatever we desired - be it the bowtie/penne pasta, dinner rolls/garlic bread, coffee, dessert. Presentation of the crab, the wines (red and white), Caesar salad and the antipasti plates was excellent...casual, yet classy. Dessert was a serving of raspberry sorbet. The only minor drawback was the bowtie/penne pasta served on the same plate as the salad plate. Even though I did not win any of the door prizes after making a donation of $20 for 20 raffle tickets, they had some nice ones, such as the $100 gift card from Scott's Seafood, $100 gift card for Yoshi's dinner and show, $50 gift cards from La Penca Azul, C'era Una Volta, 1400 Bar and Grill, Jim's Coffee Shop, Pier 29. From what I heard, the lodge raised about $1,500 in raffle ticket sales. I also have to give kudos to the waitstaff, many of whom were very tolerable and patient with this woman who sat at the next table behind my husband. She was in the wine (whine) mode. "I want penne pasta. I don't want this dinner roll with butter. I want some garlic bread. Don't you guys have any garlic bread?" On and on she went...egads...she had a sense of entitlement. Yes, there were two bottles of wine at each table, but her incessant whining almost had me do a "face palm" on her. Ooh, I wanted to offer her a piece of cheese, which would have complemented a glass of wine very well. (Now, quit your whining, lady...lol.)

We arrive 15mins before our event and check in. They introduce us to Imane (forgive me if I misspelled it) as our coordinator. She was so nice and so friendly that I totally forgot about the skeptism that I had. She explained to us what to expect as far as bowling time, food and beverages and the arcade. She also introduced us to Efrem (again, I apologize if I misspelled it), one of the managers. We had a great conversation with him about everything. He made sure that we have everything we needed. As for the presentation.. it was more than what I expected. Chicken tenders, pizza, fries and funnel cake fries were pretty standard fare.. and 4 choices of beverages too! But they were presented so well and kept warm in chafing dishes. They had our boy's name in lights and had a full size bowling pin (to be signed) as a present for him! Great touch. Imane checked on us regularly to make sure we're not running out of anything.. and we didn't. The only thing we added were chicken wings and they were excellent as well. Overall we had an excellent experience. My initial skeptism was replaced with satisfaction. I think that we had a good value for what we paid.
