I am so sad. I've been coming here for years and each time i spend over a hundred bucks and always end up with a few plushies. These past couple times? NOTHING. They are so greedy now. This time around i used my saved up tickets to get a small plush just so i can leave with a prize. Back then, you see everyone holding plushies and walking around. Now, maybe a few lucky winners? They filled a lot of the space with the mini claw machines. Do not play these!! You will not win! The claw strength for most of the machines are zero to none now and they have bumped up the prices for all of the claw machine games. They even force you to pay more for less credits now. Now it's either $120 or $140 ($110 before) and the credits definitely don't last as long anymore. Bad economy i guess. Don't come here if you actually want the prizes After using up 450 credits, i gave up and tried playing one of the marble games, the machine malfunctioned and refused to pay out the tickets. Asked someone to come look, a angry mechanic lady came by and walked around the machine, took a glance and left. I thought they needed to get help or something so i'm just sitting here and waiting for 30 minutes for them to come and try to fix it. Spoiler: they didn't come back to fix it nor come back to give an explanation to us. When i checked back at the reception, they said they sent someone to look at the machine but no one was at the machine(?) I AM LITERALLY SITTING IN FRONT OF THE MACHINE ARE YOU KIDDING ME. Then they sent the same angry mechanic to come back, who gave me a mean glare, opened and tinkered with the machine, couldn't fix anything, and proceeded to walk away without saying a word. Another 15 minutes went by, so i went back to the counter to just ask for my credits back since i don't want to wait anymore. They said they are fixing it and i will get the tickets once they finish fixing the machine. I'm like they aren't even there. But they said they can't give me back my credits -.- Ended up taking an L and just killing off the rest of the card and leaving. It's like they can't afford to let you win It's such a scam Imma just wait until I go back to Japan where it's like a dollar each play and there's actually a chance to win things. One of the worst round1 I've been to, truly befitting of this dying mall. Everything is dirty with trash everywhere. AC dont work so it always snell like wet dirty sock. Most workers here have horrible attitude and dont give a shit, and will make you feel like you are inconveniencing them when you purchase credit/pay for bowling. Bowling lane malfunctions like 50% of the time, and of course since employees dont give a shit you wait 15min to talk to them, and they maybe switch your lane but wont give you the time back. Employees here all got horrible attitude except for the one guy at the bar, and few amusement staff. At redemption certain items are locked and requires manager with the key to get the prize, which they wont after a certain time. I got there earlier to avoid this and the one of the very few helpful staff told me his manager was on break, and after calling on radio told me to come back in a hour so she'll be off her break. I came an hour later, and the guy told me to wait ~10min. I proceed to stand there for THIRTY MINUTES, only for her to walk in and say "Nah Im not doing that shit tonight." Round1, a far reaching franchise, has enriched communities with a spot to host birthday parties, company functions, or just a couple hours out with the family or friends. Hosting several bowling lanes, a dedicated space for billiards, and a plethora of arcade games spanning almost every genre, no matter the event, your party members will have a great time! This particular location within the Southland Mall campus commands a multi-storied space accessible from the main parking lot that is seldomly packed. Upon stepping foot through the automated doors, you'll take the escalator or elevator up to the main floor where you'll find their bowling alleys, claw machines, arcades, and food service. As a first timer, it was quite overwhelming with all the flashing lights, colors, and sounds but find your way to the main registers/check in counters and they'll get you situated and informed. For those looking to bowl, the staff will set you up with a lane and you'll have the option to pay by the hour (VIP lanes) or by the game. For those with bigger parties, paying by the game may be more suitable but for those high speed rollers, they should cram as many games as possible in the hour as a VIP. Shoe rentals are charged extra but reasonably priced and can be forgone if you have your own pair. The lanes are pretty well maintained and configurable for each player (bumpers automatically come up if turned on for players). Balls ranging from 6 pounds to 14 pounds are easily accessible and bowler ramps are also available for the younger folks needing an assist. Aside from dropping some pins, consider pocketing some balls in a game of billiards, racking up some virtual tickets in the many arcade games, or scoring some prizes with the claw-type machines. To play any of their games, you'll need a game card that can be purchased through one of their kiosks or at the counter. Take note that there are three different cards: 1) timed game card (green lit games only), 2) regular game card (any lit game), and 3) VIP game card (same as the regular game card but is replaceable in case it gets misplaced). The cards can also be used across multiple locations so if there's another Round1 you plan on visiting, the funds you've loaded into the card can still be used. The venue also serves food and drinks although we didn't order any this time around. The options seem pretty extensive including pizza, ramen and fried snacks for the bites and soda and alcoholic drinks for beverages. With the many activities, food/drinks, and dining spaces, it's a great spot for small to medium sized parties. Larger parties might get a bit chaotic especially during peak hours but the arcade space didn't seem to get too crowded during our afternoon visit. The staff were pretty pleasant to work with and friendly in welcoming us. They all seem to keep busy in their respective roles which meant the place was relatively clean and organized for all patrons. Overall, Round1 seems to be a fantastic one stop shop for all things amusement for the young and the old. Games and activities are accessible and the environment is lively, keeping the vibe fun and light. We had a great time with the kids and enjoyed ourselves as well. Food seems reasonable priced and has a bit of variety to satisfy all tastebuds. The staff was easy to work with and the place is well kept. Being accessible to the mall, highways, and bridges, the place is convenient to get to and makes for a hassle free outing. Round1 might be the start, but it won't be a surprise if round two or three ends up following close behind! read more

The drinks were served room temperature and the food was ok. I would say the mozzarella sticks were good but the pepperoni on top had a strange taste and the jalapeño poppers were decent. I was told they didn't have ranch and was given honey mustard salad dressing until I asked a second employee he looked for ranch and give me some. I do not know how I never knew of this place! I was pretty impressed how big and how many claw machines and games they have! Came here to bowl and it was still early (11:30am) and it was not busy there were only two other lanes taken. The bowling set up is nice, many options on ball size and weights and it is super clean and organized. I had went to the bar and was just standing there waiting for someone to help, and finally someone came and told me to come back later cause he cannot pour. So I went back to bowling, when coming back to bar they said they cant serve until 12pm. Good beer options. The service overall was good, nice friendly young staff. Pricing is on the higher side but man those claw machines are a bust, we kept trying and could not win anything, it seems to barley even grip. It's better off buying the stuff animals at a stand they have in the mall. I am pretty shocked this place has bad reviews because I really enjoyed my time here. read more

Great game selection, but service and food need work Our experience at Round 1 has been a mixed bag. While we visit frequently, we've noticed the service is subpar; staff often seem rude when asked for simple items like bags or pens. We recently attended a friend's party here--the rooms were spacious, but the lack of A/C made the entire party area uncomfortably hot. The value for the price is also a major concern. The claw machines feel unfairly rigged, and the food was a letdown. The pizzas were mostly thick dough with very few toppings, and while the wing portions were fine, the "party size" fries, tots, and gyoza were surprisingly small. Finally, the logistics are frustrating. There are often long lines with staff standing around not helping. While the game selection is good, the "Time Play" (green/red) games are too limited. Management should look at nearby competitors; for the price we pay here, the food quality and "win-ability" of the games should be much higher. read more

This round 1 is pretty cool! I've been to eastridge location but I like this one a litttleeee better. However they charge 10 points for a bag. That's like almost a whole swipe for some games. The plushies and prizes are rearranged a little differently here. The have some rhythm games downstairs with access to the mall and the rest is upstairs. Elevator was working when I went. Unfortunately my daughter is addicted to the arcade and crane game prizes so I do come here quite often Workers on the floor are sparse, the larger Latino man buried the plush and flattened the balls it sat on to make it harder to grab with the large claw, rather than just resting the plush in the original position. So not all the workers are on your side. The lady who works on the floor is nice though. When redeeming a prize from a skill game, they don't really have a pleasant attitude to go follow you and do their job. The work ethic and service is poor on the floor. Good service was experienced by the well appearing Latino younger man at the 99c ice cream/ food station, as well as the bearded gentleman at the ticket counter. Atmosphere is lively as an arcade should be, however today at around noon, all the booths to eat food were each occupied by 1 homeless person or Crack head each. There was one having a schizophrenic episode as i was near the pushing crane game, luckily I was able to win a Magikarp and leave the area quickly. My daughter wanted to eat and have a seat however I said all the seats are full, a homeless lady offered her booth for us but I passed. I know you're not supposed to judge, however I think there's a responsibility to paying patrons to at minimum keep people who are hallucinating and yelling off the premises. The crane games are well stocked on the weekdays and there is a fresh rotation of prizes I would say about 20% of the time so it keeps it interesting. The large claw games are pretty much a scam here and my win rate is next to nothing however the medium crane games are decent with payout. There are a variety of rhythm games, ticket winning games and traditional arcade games, along with bowling and billiards, this place is all around good variety. This is my first time at the Hayward location. My husband and I decided to go when they first opened on a weekday. It was not busy at all, which we liked. We could walk around and check out all the games and what this location had to offer. It's a two-story place. There are plenty of games, a few party rooms, an eatery section, and bowling. I have been to at least 10 Round 1's at this point in my life and somehow this is one of the worse ones that I have been to? This is entirely from the viewpoint of someone who was only there window shopping since far long gone are the days that I use to peruse Round 1 with the highest level of membership and when the 1 hour gameplay was still worth it. This Round 1 had the least variety in terms of the arcade games that it had for the free play, with lots of games that I have seen at all of the other locations. Bizarrely most of the dancing games were sectioned off to be on their own on the bottom floor away from everyone else. They had the least rhythm games too and therefore, I think this would not be a great location if this was your think since I know there are lot of rhythm game heads who always want to play the hottest games imported in from Japan. Their racing game selection was also just alright and they had only 1 row of fighting game cabinets too. Maybe this Round 1 was more aimed toward normies who wanted to bowl or do more normie things? I'm not too sure. As for their crane games a good chunk of the machines and an entire wall had their machines just completed turned off. I'm not sure if they were all just inoperable or if they did this to just save some electricity but these machines had some prizes that weren't repeats of the ones that were repeating in the other machines. I guess for those living in this area beggars can't be choosers and I should be blessed living near my Round 1. read more

If you're planning to play claw machines, DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION AT ALL. Total Scam Comparing to the Concord location, this location's big prize claw machine had the WORST win rate. Even with a perfect double tap grab method, it IMMEDIATELY falls down, not even in the air for 2 seconds. Even the claw doesn't even ATTEMPT to grab the plush at all. It's super disappointing... At least at concord, the claw attempts to grab and brings it up. I went to concord last week, and won 6 big plushies from claw machine, and at this location, none. Today made me realize why Round1 is rated so terribly low. I started going to R1 this May regularly as destress and as a distraction. I was like cool there's 2 locations literally next to each other and I'd be excited to see the differences in layout, plushies, games, options, etc. However, the Hayward location started to become my last choice/bottom on my totem pole due to the continuously broken machines (and I mean a TON!! Today, it's mind dropping to see the change in layout BUT more than half the machines are down, out of order, etc). Three weeks ago, I played the Rick and Morty coin pusher... it gave me an error. The workers called the mechanics. The mechanic chick says nothing but I noticed she shut down the machine. I go to the counter and the female worker (Caucasian with long brown hair and fake long nails) who runs the tickets/attempts to fix easy machines gives me an eye along with an eye roll and I'm like can I please have my credits back? I swiped like 9 times and the girl worker (Caucasian female with long brown hair often with probable fake long nails) tells the manager to give me 4 swipes back. Okay, fine... I'm appreciative of something rather than nothing. Then last week, the male ?hispanic manager who's large with slicked back hair often congratulating me for my high ticket wins from returning full card sets at the ticket redemption machine has the sweetest heart... he misheard me stating that there's no Yodas in the Star Wars coin pusher ever because suddenly there's an explosion of them (I could never find a single Yoda at the Hayward location and suddenly I have 5). I run into two errors with the Star Wars coin pusher. The second error was out of cards... I run into him and he profusely apologies. Due to the super slow service, I began playing the Angry Birds coin pusher that's next to it. The manager so kindly asks if I want him to stand in front of the Star Wars machine as I finish up the Angry Birds game and he gave me extra 10 plays. Now things go downhill... There's a dragonfruit plushie that's absolutely the cutest plushie (in my opinion) I have ever seen at Round1. It was in the turkey legs game. I can't seem to win it for the life of me. I ask the male darker skin worker with a gap in his teeth for any tips. He just side eyes and tells me he knows nothing in a very rude manner. Following this, the short haired female manager took my Elaut coins allowing me to turn them in for tickets. She so kindly tells me what's going on/the latest news with Round 1. Afterwards, I play the Angry Birds coin pusher. As the tower is building, an error pops up. An Asian male worker walks by. I politely ask if it can be fixed (as I still had plays left and my tower wasn't done building). He says he needs a few moments as he's transporting plushies (in boxes)... fine and understandable. He comes back and I see him and he states he hasn't let them know but will let them know... 18 minutes pass... nothing happens. Now, moving forward to today. Holy moly. The lead guy with a strange name (H something) was a huge a** and the amount of rude eye stares... I can't explain. The Star Wars coin pusher pops into error due to no ball. I had plays left and I am at the super spin turn. Me = hella pissed. I turn in my Elaut coins (21 coins). An Asian worker has no idea how to do it so a female worker with dyed blue hair and long fake black nails comes to teach him. She asks him what's 21 times 5 (because 1 Elaut coin equals 5 tickets) and the guy says 150... (no it's 105 by the way). I politely ask her if she can mic somebody to help with the Star Wars coin pusher because I have been waiting for 20 minutes. She proceeds to give me a red play card (I have a black club card fyi with 25k+ tickets that I did not notice... my fault). The ugly darker skin male with the "H" name shows up (oh sh*t) and rolls his eyes. At least he honestly gives me my club card back as I proceeded to walk away. I stood for another 11 minutes near the Star Wars coin pusher as I played the crane/claw games. Nobody shows up. This place is seriously disgusting. I was falsely blown away by the managers who warmed my heart with the kindest service and the highest level of respect. All the workers have a horrible and absolutely disturbingly revolting attitude. Went here last night and it was a bust. I don't think we will ever come back again. We paid for one hour of bowling. They assigned us to lane 7. We get there and it was super dirty. Plates, cups, food, etc all over. She came right away to clean it though. We were getting started to bowl, when we decided to get a drink / food. You cannot just order from the QR code that shows on the bowling table... I walk over to the food area. I am waiting in line with the worker with two families ahead of me. I see another worker come by and I thought he was going to open the other cash register, but he doesn't. He just pressing stuff on the cash register. I wasted about 10 mins of my bowling time waiting in line. But that is okayyyy. However, I asked for a meat lovers slice of pizza and they said they are out. I asked what other pizza, and they said they are completely out of all pizzas. Then they are also out of burgers. I am like what the heck?? The worker states they had a lot of parties over the weekend and emptied out their pizzas and burgers. But I am thinking no restocking?? Also, they have a section for what looked like a full bar, so I tried to order some tequila, but they don't have any hard liquor! Only beers and wines. I ended up ordering mozzarella sticks and tater tots. The tater tots were good, the mozzarella sticks were mehhh. It cheese inside wasnt as melty/soft as I would like. It has a tap on the payment and I tried paying with apple pay, and he says they don't accept that. I need the physical card to pay. At this point, I was so annoyed. I think if it was just one thing wrong, then fine. But all the things were just not working out. The bowling was fun though. I like how they have various games. Balls were nice and clean. This is the only reason why you get 2 stars and not 1. HOWEVER, I guess they do this strike competition every hour for all the lines. So they announced everyone to stop bowling. (mind you, our screen said 2 mins left right before the announcer told us about this strike competition) So he is explaining the rules and I am thinking, I gotta hurry. I waited a bit. And he says "Okay, are you ready competitors? Go and stand at the line, but do now bowl yet" (so as he was saying this, I bowled RIGHT before he said the do not bowl yet) and i freakin' got a strike!! So I was annoyed. It did not count and I do not get my prize. So then my friend goes and try and bowls since everyone is standing to get ready. But then the sweep bar falls down on us and it says we are out of time so he could not even do it. Like come on. Went on a Friday night I believe. My Hubby and younger daughter. The atmosphere was nice. No weird drama. Some families bowling. And people of all ages from what I saw was enjoying themselves. On the weekend I had the worst experience at Round 1 making me not want to stay and just leave after getting there. The lady at the card reload register was rude for no reason. I walked up to the register to load my card and purchase a promotion item. The lady was busy so I waited only a couple of minutes (2-3 mins) since I was still deciding how much I wanted to load onto my card. There's multiple people working at this location so I assumed that someone else would be running the register since this lady was busy. She turned around to see me waiting and said "why didn't you say something" in an exhausted and angry tone. That was an unnecessary comment and she continued giving me attitude throughout the whole transaction. It's clear she wanted to just get it over with so she could go back to what she was doing before. She made it seem like I was bothering her. Throwing items down on the register and acting like it's a hassle to get the promotional item I wanted to purchase. She wasn't happy I was spending more money to purchase the promotional item and repeated my total in a condescending judging tone. This interaction was very unprofessional and inappropriate. The only good highlight was that security was very thorough in making sure people are safe by checking all bags, IDs and scanning your front and back. He was nice when we left telling everyone to have a good night. I won't be returning to this location for a while and will go to the San Jose location instead. I've read multiple reviews of bad customer service, untrained staff and lack of staff. I really hope the management for this location fixes these problems soon. read more

This R1 is a hot mess. I feel like I've been spoiled by the Stonestown location now because this one is truly worse in every single way. Upon entering, there is a security check. They check. your bags, make you empty any water bottles, and do a front and back scan. This location seems to be consistently low on staff. There is almost no staff walking the floor restocking or fixing machines. Half the machines were lights off and/or completely off. Many machines were out of service. It took a long time for claw machines to be restocked. The claws are incredibly weak and you can only win at payout vs with any skill. As for the food, the workers are so slow and almost seem like they're intentionally not working. It took nearly 30 minutes to get an order of fries and two scoops of ice cream. All the tables were messy and covered in sauces or other people's trash because no one was cleaning up. The game card purchase counter had 1 person working. I came all the way to this location to transfer my old R1 cards and all they could say was that they didn't do that here and only at the place I purchased the cards originally, even though I literally purchased the cards at this location??? They were unhelpful and unprofessional. The person at the counter literally walked away in front of me and didn't say anything to me. When we tried to book a bowling game using points redeemed in the app, the two workers whispered to each other and just said the scanner wasn't working as an excuse to not take the coupon???? Many of the sinks and soap dispensers in the bathroom are broken. Overall ambience is poor, location is extremely understaffed, and staff are undertrained and unprofessional in general. $50 this time lasted us around 2 hours which is nice. There seemed to be quite a bit of new games which was nice to see it was pretty busy yet seemed safe. We played from 6pm and it felt safe with some families coming in at night. I paid exactly $515.63 for a sh*tty service to celebrate my son's birthday at this location. I got the unlimited all inclusive party package for 10 people. The food came out on time, our guests liked it, and it was quick so that part deserves the 1 star. Everything else though? If I could give this place ZERO stars I would. First of all, I should have not ignored all the other reviews, but based on my cousins past experience and services given to her here I thought maybe all the reviews I read was just a small fraction of the people getting bad service. Nope!! I am now giving my review. The moment we got in, the energy already felt off. No smiles on their face, the person who was supposed to be helping us already looked spaced out and not there. They asked for my card and license to hold on to until the end of the party, and we were told to wait so they can clean the room. We got time to set up a little before some of our guests arrived. When I spoke to the party planner a few days before we were told we get a minimum of 2 pizzas and other sides for the first order and then we can order an unlimited amount afterward. Cool! Perfect! That's what I wanted. Except we weren't told that there was a cut off time and when I asked if we could order more food 1hr after our party's start time, they said oh we can't do that. I was perplexed. What do you mean I can't order more? I paid for all you can eat pizza, wings, fries, and fountain drinks and no one told me there was a cut off time. Secondly, our server was NOT attentive whatsoever. They only came in to drop off the food orders and drinks. No "is there anything else I can get or do for you?", not even a damn smile. The only time she came to me to ask anything was "Do you want to pay now?" Thirdly, we didn't receive the play cards until 30-40 minutes into the party's start time! Not only that, BUT I HAD TO ASK FOR THEM! I was also told there was only 1 hour of play time from the moment our party started, wait excuse me? The website said " Unless a duration is specified, customers will have access to these games throughout the FULL duration of the event." We were handed the cards 30 min into the party so my party was only able to use the cards for ~30 minutes. If they knew this why did they wait to give us our cards so late!? Fifth, someone in our party witnessed my child walk out of our room quickly as she was passing by the door to our party room and just rolled her eyes at him! WTF Sixth, the manager or whatever the hell she was gave nothing but stank, annoyed and irritated faces to not only my mother but all other paying guests she talked to. This establishment is fun to be at if you don't have to interact with the workers. Just expensive AF. I came here this afternoon and had a very disappointing experience. The place wasn't busy, yet it took more than an hour to receive our order of tater tots and a pizza on a stick. Our number was 73, and they were already calling 89, but we saw our tater tots had been sitting ok counter for 30 minutes. I politely asked the employee--who was CHEWING GUM while assisting customers, if we could get a fresh order of tater tots since its been sitting out and it's already cold. Instead, she put the same tots back into the air fryer. They came out burnt, and I ended up throwing them away. I visited round1 last night. Overall it was a fun time. We played a few games and it wasn't overall very crowded. One thing that did disappoint me was there were quite a few games that were out of service. The lighting inside of here was a Little darkS overall a pleasant time here. Definitely will be trying this place again. read more

This place serves terrible food and the staff doesn't seem to want to do their jobs. There's an okay selection of games but that's never really a problem. I don't know. The lady with the tattoos was absolutely ridiculous! I had pushed the figure box all the way to the edge, but it didn't drop. I kid you not, it could not move any further right, as it was already pushed towards the whites of the bracket. I wished had I taken a photo. When I asked her for assistance, to obviously receive the figure as that was the point where it was supposed to drop, she replied with "what do you want me to do!?". Talk about customer service! She only adjusted the bars after she skeptically slid the back and forth. Then she preceded to move the sliding box back to the ORIGINAL starting point but refused to give me the anime figure. I've never had this experience before coming to this location. The manager said that he'd supposedly speak to her about but gave no compensation. read more

No flow in service! Unprofessional managers! We go in. Get IDs for 2 beers. Got wrist bands on. Drank those. Then went to counter to pay for bowling. Then bf asked for two more beers and she refused to sell two beers after she ID us. Then we both paused our game and came back to order more then suddenly she wasn't around for 15 minutes then we went to bowling counter and complained. Asked for the manager. . Manager Lilly said other manager is going on break . So I asked who is covering for her? Then she decides to argue with us. Becomes Defensive and argumentative. So we went back to bowl then asked attendant for 2 beers and she said to go to counter. Read this before going to Round 1 southland Mall. I used to love this place, I usually charge $55 to $100+ because of the additional points, and I will win good amount of toys, but as off now 02/17/2026 DO NOT GO TO ROUND 1 IN SOUTHLAND MALL. They are a scam now, with $100+ , you will win 1 toy if you are lucky, when I was there I overheard some guest talking to one of the employee, complaining that they have been trying this 1 machine for quiet sometime and the machine still did not give them a win after swiping 8 times! and the employee herself admitted that they were calibrating the machines and most of the machines are not ready for a win even after 8 or 9 swipes and to remind you 1 swipe now is 14 + points.. This place became so greedy. To be honest I gave it a chance , before this review I gave it a shot because I came here DEC, Jan and finally this was the last straw, during dec. I understand maybe they needed the extra revenue that's why they purposely mess up the calibration, so it won't pay out a win after a certain amount of swipes but now it's just ridicules. so please I'm warning people to please to do not come to ROUND 1 SOUTHLAND MALL. try other location maybe they are better. I'm just being honest with this review and like I mentioned, I use to love going here and spending $100+ and win a good amount of toys but now it's not worth it. We brought 7 kids there today for my son's birthday. My wife went up and asked what would be the best deal. They said each kid unlimited for 2 hours play so we planned accordingly telling the parents what time to pick them up. Nobody told her they could not play certain games. Most importantly that should have told her what games not to play. After no time the kids are out of credits. Almost $400 gone like that with a bunch of boys with nothing to do. We spent almost $200 on food total so a lot of money and very little fun. I have no problem with certain games you cannot play. I have a problem with it not being clear. read more

Round1 at Southland Mall is great spot for a good time. Plenty of parking exist after 6pm so no rush. Be prepared for a airport style security checkpoint upon entering. I'm very grateful for it honestly so make no mistake in the comment. The establishment itself, compared to other Round1's I've been too feels scarce. It has the newest Street Fighter but thats all that they keep up to date. most of the interactive machines, like the Basketball ones, have a unit that always seem to be down. They had a 6 player Airhockey table at one point (I didn't see it this last visit) that wasn't working but it definitely took my swipe. The Hungry Hippos thing always seem to have one or two malfunctioning units. Not a fun game 1 v 1 I got to tell ya. There is a downstairs area that I just kind of stayed away from. Mostly Asian/Japanese oriented style games/machines from what I saw at a glance. Bowling is the best part of this place, definitely a fun way to kill time with friends. Some of these machines also don't work, my last visit it refused to record the score and reset the pins entirely but still only gave me an attempt for a spare.... Yea, I failed to get a spare anyways. The bar area on all occasions I've been there have been the 2nd best part of my trip. The woman and gentlemen who served me were very fun and engaging. Homeboy had a Fairytail tattoo that I thought was dope af. I even showed him my tattoo bucket list that had the same design he got! Hats off to the customer service there. The prize machines are the worst part of this place, not just because they are made in a way for you to loose but because some of them have these papers in them you get that you then have to get a employee to unlock the prize. The employees I've had just seemed super irritated to help. Karaoke should be more fun than it was, they have a no drink in the room rule which is a drag. Kills the vibe. The song selections are kind of wack too. Nothing seems to be current and only the BIGGEST classics in a lot of genre's were avialable. I've never got around to ever doing the pool tables or visiting the shop. I'll be back for sure because it still a cool spot to go but like I've said before, I've been to some pretty amazing Round1's before and this one has a "just here" feel to it. read more
