They were all very dismissive of my boyfriends pain from the very start and it never got better they moved at turtle pace and granted this was from 11am to 5 pm so still pretty early in the day All of the nurses were rude except for one the blonde lady was the worst my Bf just needed an IV and some nausea and cramping medicine as this had happened in the past but they took forever to even start an IV the nurse stood in the doorway talking to her coworkers about bin work related things for a good 5 min while holding the IV and medicine he needed I literally stared her down the whole time hoping she would get the hint so I didn't have to be rude. It didn't get any better the 5 hours we were there even the bald headed doctor was down right rude and seem to have little to no bed side manor or even a lick of common sense tbh I will NEVER go to this ER or hospital again not to mention the dirty ass rooms walls covered in dirt and grime even some blood in clear view I should've take some pics of the place too tbh

Wrapped by a trained medical professional. Her words not mine. Smh.

They have a little tv with health news on it in the reception area. Receptionist got me signed in and all my paperwork done right away. When I went back, nurse was friendly, did the normal vitals, all pretty standard there. The doctor himself had great bedside manner. He listened and did not rush me in any way. He addressed every concern I had thoroughly. He even was on the same page as me about addressing what issues I could naturally. Most doctors I've been to in the past won't even have a discussion about natural options. He was very kind and understanding which I feel is important for me to trust a doctor. Very glad I found this office.

I feel I was treated unprofessionally and now I have to go hunt down another doctor to get my medication I asked the nurse to give me at least one month worth of my blood pressure med till I found a doctor they flat out refused me...Beware of this office they will hold your medication hostage.

Wouldn't give me a blanket, pillow , ginger ale. She puts me in the waiting room full of people I'm moaning and groaning in excruciating pain & had been throwing up. This was going on for almost 24 hours. I asked if I could go to the truck and lay because it hurts so bad to set up. I was told no patient you have to stay in the building and she is talking to the girls behind the glass and they're both looking up at me, clearly talking about me and when I asked her what her name was, she wanted to know why? I said because if you're gonna be taking care of me, I wanna know your name. She turned her head and continued to whisper in the girls ear I got up and I left, it's been two days. I'm still in pain still not feeling well and waiting a call back from patient Advocate when you don't feel good and you're at your worst clearly I did not need to be in the waiting room with 20 other people no bedside manner whatsoever. I don't have her name, but I have the time and the date that she punched my information in and I'll find out who she is and when I do, I hope she loses her job because it's the most pain that I've ever experienced in my life and I've given birth to two children without an epidural natural. Some people just don't belong in the medical field. What a terrible horrible experience.

Over the past week, I've gone to the ER three separate times because I was feeling lightheaded and on the verge of passing out. I live alone, so I was genuinely concerned and wanted to be around medical professionals in case something serious happened. Each time, I tried to explain potential triggers--like foods I'd eaten, medications, or supplements I'd taken--but I felt treated like a second-class citizen. I had to repeatedly press the call button just to get someone to check on me. As a former combat medic, I was shocked by the complete lack of routine patient checks or "roving" rounds by nurses. I literally had to walk the staff through how to help me. It's no wonder some combat veterans reach a breaking point and take drastic action, like the veteran who recently made headlines by taking his life in front of a VA hospital. One nurse--who had visible tattoos and a nose ring--eventually apologized for the staff not checking in more often. I understand that in 2025, tattoos and facial piercings are common and accepted even in medical settings, but the overall decline in professionalism and care still blows my mind. During initial intake, an older nurse took my vital signs. I kept bringing up possible causes for my symptoms (medications, foods, reactions), but she seemed dismissive--almost annoyed--and barely paid attention. I could read the lack of interest all over her face. The more I reflect on these experiences, the more determined I am to report them to leadership outside the VA system. I recently moved here from Illinois, where I'd heard great things about this particular VA hospital. I was far from impressed. The one bright spot was a nurse who wheeled me for a chest X-ray and made small talk. She mentioned another veteran who had advised "changing your socks and staying hydrated," but she admitted she had no idea what that meant in a military context. As a former Marine Corps combat medic, I explained the reference--to prevent trench foot and maintain basic field hygiene. It's disheartening that a VA hospital, which is supposed to be uniquely attuned to veterans' needs and experiences, feels so detached from the military culture we come from.

I have never had a bad experience with Dr. Morris and he was always ready to give me a referral to a specialist when needed without any problems or delays. Dr. Morris always took the time to listen to what ever problems you were having medically and if he didn't know the answer, he would find it out for you. I loved it when it was just "Berkeley Family Medicine " as they were a full service doctors office ie... doing blood and lab work at their practice along with immunizations right in the office. I would have given a 5 star review except for the fact that when they changed to "Valley Health Berkeley Family Medicine" they quit doing blood and lab work and shortened their office hours by three (3) hours each day and are no longer open on Saturday. They also no longer give immunizations. The front desk staff are wonderful as they have always been. My new Dr. Nicols, Who took over for Dr. Morris when he retired had some mighty big shoes to fill and is doing a very good job in my opinion. The Physian Assistants are very knowledgeable and take a lot of time to get to know you and your medical complaint of the day. The nurses take time also to get to know you and they are all very friendly. Overall, I would definitely recommend this doctors office to someone looking for a family doctor.
