We ordered relatively quickly, no flags. After we ordered, a handful of larger groups came and sat at the bigger tables. It appeared to me that the staff immediately lost all interest in serving the smaller tables to focus on the bigger tables, to the point where it even seemed like their food was being expedited over ours. My dining buddy's food arrived 20 minutes after we ordered (while the larger tables had a steady stream of their food), and mine showed up around 15 minutes after his. Again, I sat and ordered before these large groups even sat, and they were settling up their bills before I even got my food. I did raise a bit of a fuss when my companion nearly finished his meal and I still hadn't received mine, and the reasoning they provided was "we have three different kitchen stations and your food was in a station that was backed up". That... doesn't cut it, I'm so sorry. They did comp my meal, which is a thing that restaurants do when they slip up, so I can't congratulate them for doing the bare minimum to resolve my frustration. Came here for their bottomless brunch! Bottomless mimosas are $24/person and everyone at the table needs to participate. Overall the food was delicious and I left already wanting to come back to try more of the menu items. I ordered the waffles and Korean fried chicken and it was so so yummy! Also tried some of their lemon ricotta pancake (not pictured - had too many mimosas) which I loved too. It's cute, bright, and spacious inside which makes it the perfect environment for any brunch event. Only downside is that they limit the bottomless mimosas to 1 hour (which is understandable) but as someone that doesn't chug mimosas, it felt super rushed. I visited this spot twice in two weeks because I loved it so much. I've tried several things, but I've decided I'll never come here without ordering the dolsot. It's that good. The udon sauté and KFC buns are also delicious, and the millionaire's bacon, despite my initial skepticism, is totally worth it. I can't wait to try the ramyun to see if it lives up to the hype. Berkeley Social Club is probably one of the most popular spots here among students. I've been quite a few times, but this is my first time writing a review. I have to say that the brunch menu is significantly better than the dinner menu, so if you're deciding between what time to visit, I would definitely recommend going with brunch. My favorite item has to be the KFC benedict. I've heard good things about all of their benedicts, but the KFC one is my favorite with the crispy chicken and potatoes on the side. I also really enjoy the KFC waffle. On the dinner menu, I've tried the spicy pork and curry udon but neither really impressed me too much. The only thing is since this spot is so popular, there's usually always a wait especially during brunch time. Joining the Yelp waitlist when your further sometimes doesn't work either, so you're kinda just forced to wait there. However, I do think its worth it :). read more

We came on a Tuesday at around 1pm. We got seated right away at the outdoor patio and as a bonus, I was also able to bring my corgi. Just a heads up, parking around this area can be difficult so be prepared for that. I've been to Berkeley Social Club several times now, but this is my first time going during Covid. Since there was a Goodwill right next door, we spent a bit of time thrifting and before we knew it, we were called to be seated. I love this place so much whenever someone asks for my suggestion for where to meet for brunch, this is the first place that I suggest. I've been here on multiple occasions, from pre-COVID, during COVID, and when the shelter in place was lifted. The patio in the back of the restaurant is dedicated to tables that are spread out according to COVID guidelines. I really enjoyed my dinner experience here with friends. It's pretty pricey but the food (and its presentation) was really good and the restaurant ambience was pretty intimate. The four drinks in the flight honestly tasted the same to my friends (I can't comment because I don't drink) so I don't think it's worth it. I ordered my bulgogi bowl without rice and felt that my dish needed more vegetables to balance out the amount of meat there. (There was a lot of meat though- portion was good). Originally we (5pp) were sat outside on the back patio at an enormous table big enough for 12pp. It was breezy and cold and they were able to accommodate us moving to an indoor table. The menu is a fusion between brunch items with Korean influence, which I love because it's a spin on your typical brunch items. My go to orders for brunch are the blackstone benedict and the brussel hash. Blackstone benedict: The millionaire's bacon steals the spotlight of this dish. It is so thick and flavorful, a little sweet, and perfectly caramelized. It perfectly complements the tangy and creamy hollandaise and the tomatoes and asparagus help cut through all the richness and add the perfect texture. This dish is truly one of a kind and an absolute must try. I have also tried the salmon benedict which was really good but the blackstone benedict is definitely the way to go if you are a first timer. Brussel hash: I never thought of eating brussel sprouts at brunch but the way they prepare the brussel with wasabi adds the perfect kick that helps it pair nicely with their perfectly poached eggs.
