Regardless, this spot feels underrated, and for a brunch place to sport no wait times while serving excellent food is a rare commodity in the Bay. I ordered The Charlie, their take on an ahi sandwich. Lately, I've been on a tuna kick, and this was the paragon of excellence. The tuna developed a beautifully crusty exterior while maintaining a bright red hue inside. It also featured the quintessential Bay Area Acme bun which I believe is the pinnacle of great bread. Honestly, this was probably one of the best tuna sandwiches I've ever had. And, the side salad that came with it, another standout, with its brilliant yellow beets that I insisted my friend try. I could wax poetic about these beets all day long, so sweet and incredibly fresh. I thought I'd regret skipping the fries, but the salad was just too good that I didn't miss them, a rare occurrence for me. My friend ordered The Demon Lover, their whimsical take on chicken and waffles. Unfortunately, this was pedestrian. The tenders were only a slight step up from Dairy Queen's frozen tenders, and the particularly skinny waffle wasn't anything noteworthy. It's a really good place for breakfast and quick mea-up with friends. I got there about 8:30, but by 9 it started to fill up. I got the demon lover, which was amazing with both gravy and syrup. The waffle wasn't like the big crispy kind, but I liked this soft and flavorful. Food came out pretty fast. Service was fast but the servers I got were not very pleasant. Because we came on a Tuesday morning around 10:30, it wasn't crowded at all and we had a lot of options for seating. We opted for the patio as it was a lovely day out. My friend ordered the popular Demon Lover ($16), which is their signature fried chicken and waffles dish. I took a couple bites and thought it was solid. The gravy was quite rich though; I was surprised to learn it's a vegetarian (onion-based) gravy. For myself, I got the the Tom Boy ($16), which comes with poached eggs, potato, apple and parsnip corned beef hash, and white toast. We were expecting a pretty long wait, but we were seated in a good amount of time. The inside was quite small and crowded and I feel like I was brushing up against the people sitting behind me. I got the Demon Lover chicken and waffles with a side of syrup and gravy. Those were the best chicken and waffles I've ever had!!! The syrup and gravy paired so well with the waffles and it just melts in your mouth! It was very filling too, with a good amount of chicken on the plate. It was so good that I drove 30min back here the week after to pick up a to-go order, so my bf could try it lol. I would come back here more often, but I'm not a morning person, and they close at 2pm. It's weird seeing this restaurant listed as a burger place. According to their website, they only have one burger and it's not served on weekdays. 900 Grayson was a staple for us pre-pandemic. We were excited to come back and see how the restaurant was doing. Started with two orders of the Demon Lover - one with gravy on the side, the other with syrup on the side. We could probably go two syrups and one gravy as we like the syrup can go on anything, but the gravy is for chicken only. Gravy touching the waffle is a party foul. Unfortunately, they only offer the much less tasty / juicy white meat version now. 900 Grayson owners - if you're reading this - I'm assuming most of your patrons prefer white meat, but maybe there can be Chicken Thigh Thursdays? The second was Potter Creek. Really nicely done hash browns with some scrambled eggs and toast. The last dish we ordered was the Tom Boy. It's a large portion of country style potatoes, corned beef, and 2 poached eggs on top. It's not like St. Patrick's Day Corned Beef though - it's corned beef cubes with a nice crispy exterior.
