He sent us home with instructions to buy famotidine over the counter, give it to my dog to reduce the high liver enzymes and bring him back in 2 weeks. I went to CVS for the medication which turned out to be Pepcid a drug to treat acid indigestion. After some internet research I found the famotidine has abslutely no effect on liver enzymes and, in fact, may harm the liver in certain circunstances. I will find a vet that is actually interested in the well being of my dog.

They are not at all prompt to acknowledge customers at the counter. I've had two appointments with two different doctors- neither of whom have introduced themselves- I still don't know their names. Today's vet tech also did not introduce herself. At neither appointment has any employee talked to my cat. I find that unusual in a vet's office. The doctor today spent our appointment edging toward the door and avoiding eye-contact. It felt like I had to pull information out of her rather than having a dialog. She didn't check my cat over or touch her until I asked about something specific. While I don't fault the treatment, I do find the staff strangely impersonal. The cats who wander around are great though- I love them.

When my daughter received our beautiful Golden Retriever puppy Luna a year ago, we automatically knew that Dr. Truman would be our Vet. On the morning of September 17, 2017, we awoke to find out that Luna had chewed into a bag of charcoal briquettes. These are known to be toxic, for they were covered in lighter fluid. I immediately called the weekend answering service, hoping to speak to a Vet. Dr. Turban called me back almost immediately and informed me on what should be done. He eased my anxieties. Our Luna is fine. And, I would only entrust Dr. Truman and his staff to care for our baby. They are the best!!
