Today we said goodbye to our boy far too soon, but cancer does not care about age. We were shown such care and compassion. Everything was handled lovingly. To fix Dr. Reich's botched TPLO surgery......we just shelled out $4,700, part 1 of 2 part…read morecorrective surgeries being done this time by a competent surgeon NOT NAMED REICH. The second surgery, to be done in March, will be an additional $4700. So, I will be out of pocket at total of $9400 to fix his mistake. Add to that, the original $3,000, TOTAL IS 12,300 for at TPLO and then a corrective TPLO. Dr. Reich has offered no apology or compensation despite all the proof from real surgeons that he was clearly in the wrong.

One showed up, she was pregnant, had her kittens and became pregnant again along with three of her litter, before we could trap them we had 13 cats running around, we trapped them a few at a time and took them for TNR, we got 11 back, two of the kittens were too small and they kept them and socialized them. Cat adoption fees are waived for the month of August in an effort to "clear the shelters". Upon walking inside this facility, you will be asked to sign in and someone will direct you. This is very different from other shelters. I appreciate their level of security and organization, but also their level of customer service. First, I had to check out the nursery. There were so many kittens in their nursery. Tons of kittens of all shapes, sizes, and colors. Each kitten had it's own "spot". Some were sleeping on the giant cat tower, others were curled up in soft cat beds and rugs, a few were playing with toys, and one was sitting inside of a box, peaking out. Too cute! I was able to interact with each kitten and play with each of them as long as I liked. Make sure you also give some love to the mature felines in their play room. It's a bit hidden in a room down the hall. I was surprised that it wasn't full of cats. Only a few cats when I was there. You can also adopt dogs, although I didn't get a chance to see them. When you finally decide on your fur-ever friend(s) you can just pick out it's information card and take it to the front desk. All cats are microchipped so if there is any confusion, they will make sure you selected the right one. The adoption process was rather smooth. I had to present my ID and fill out a short, two-page application. They recommend bringing a pet carrier. You will receive a free bag of food, as a "thank you" for adopting. I believe in supporting your local humane societies and shelters. Without donations, these places would not survive. I am lucky that my adoption fee was waived, but I realize the costs associated with spaying, vaccinating, and all the other daily costs of sheltering my kitten. After leaving several messages, 2 hours later she returns the call and says that she forgot... Reluctantly we took the dog back to be boarded for two days, Saturday afternoon to Monday afternoon. When we picked the dog up Monday afternoon she tells us a different price. She has somehow determined that Saturday to Monday is actually 3 days, and we now owe her for 3 days boarding. A little confused, I said no it is only 2 days and in fact, it hasn't even been 48 hours since we dropped him off! Her response was that she charged 3 days because he got there on Saturday, he was there on Sunday and he was there on Monday. I said this is quite extraordinary, I mean my hotel doesn't charge like that, car rental companies don't charge like this and you never disclosed any of this when we dropped him off. Shady and deceptive to say the least. And she only accepts cash....
