I signed up for the 4 week trial and I absolutely LOVE FBBC Berkley! I have an extremely busy work schedule and often have long days. The schedule gives me flexibility with a lot of options for class times and the 30 min duration is perfect for me. I was hesitant when I saw how short classes were, but it ended up being perfect because it wasn't as intimidating for me because I haven't worked out in a couple of years. I also have old, painful neck and shoulder injuries and the entire team there is always very helpful with modifications and extra vigilant to make sure I am "doing ok" during the work out. The classes are always busy, but never overcrowded, and the more people that are there the better the energy! With how busy it is, I would have been understanding if the instructors didn't always recognize me, but at least one of them, if not all, always recognizes you, knows your name and is super welcoming. I never felt "too" anything, the classes have a great mix of people, different fitness levels, age etc. The instructors and other people in the class are encouraging and the mix of workouts is never boring and always push your limits. The workouts can always be modified to increase or decrease the intensity. I've done boot camps before and I truly can say this is the perfect set up for someone that is trying to get back into shape or someone that is maintaining or upping their fitness routine! read more

Since attending countless sessions at Berkley Fit Boot Camp, I have felt more energized and accomplished with my workout routine. They provide quick 30 minute manageable and challenging workout sessions, that ultimately make it more convenient to work out several days a week, while still being able to have time and life outside of working out. This boot camp is unique in itself- because it's not just a workout, but a life style change. The memberships they offer are all unlimited workouts, encouraging people to come to the gym more than just 2 times a week. All of the instructors have been very positive and supportive during each workout session- in addition, they are willing to help provide solutions with any workout of nutrition challenges that you might be facing. Lastly, this boot camp class is great for everyone- you are in a group setting and the workout consists of various stations throughout the 30-minute class. This type of exercise allows a person to be able to workout at their own pace, challenge themselves more or make slight modifications in order to avoid injury. I'm pretty sure that joining Berkley Fit Body Bootcamp may have been one of the smartest decisions I've ever made! I've tried so many different classes, programs, and trainers along my fitness journey, but none of them have ever seemed to be a good fit for me. Some were too time consuming, too advanced, or not challenging enough. Berkley FBBC has fit all of my fitness wants and needs! The classes are only 30 mins taken out of your day, the workouts are challenging, but not unattainable, and the trainers are all motivating and genuine. Also, the group training atmosphere is something I've come to really enjoy. Being a part of a team in which everyone comes together each day to complete a challenging workout together, and keep one another accountable to #finish, is inspiring and heartwarming. I finally found a workout that keeps me motivated to come back every morning. I love Fit Body Boot Camp! The staff is friendly and the classes are for all fitness levels. It has only been a few weeks and I already notice a difference. I feel stronger and more energetic throughout the day. I thought it would be hard to get up early before work to go to the morning class but the 30 minute workouts are perfect and keep me coming back each morning. Every day the classes are different so you feel like you are getting a full body workout. Some days are harder than others but there are modified workouts if you need them and each person can go at their own pace. Everyone is so supportive of each other here. If you are looking for a full body workout and need some positive motivation and a great environment to keep you coming back, this is the place! read more

Pros: The workouts are short (30 mins) and to the point which allows you to fit them into your schedule! The instructors really care about their clients which is great to see- it definitely creates a sense of community you can feel.In addition the sets are fun and unique so it keeps the body and mind guessing. The cons: Different muscle groups are targeted daily (plus) BUT you would have to come 6 days a week to target each part of the body appropriately- so if doing as a supplement/cross training it might not be as effective. The workouts are also a little too short for me (personal preference ) for the amount of money you are paying. It is a financial investment and for someone with the commitment to be here daily, I think it's a great place. Unfortunately, this was not the place for me as a cross train regiment. read more

I've driven by this place hundreds of times and finally made the decision to give it a shot. Best decision ever. From day one it was a super welcoming environment and I didn't feel intimated, which isn't always the case at other gyms. The trainers are incredibly helpful and approachable. They actually want to help you work to meet and exceed your goals. I was immediately addicted and felt excited to go workout and challenge myself more and more each time. The 30 minute workouts are no joke, but it's easy to find 30 minutes out of your day to squeeze a workout in. I used to dread going to the gym but now I look forward to it. I can't wait to see what goals I'm able to achieve. If you're on the fence about giving it a shot, just do it. I know you won't regret it :) read more

I live about a half mile from Fit Body and finally took advantage of their Fall special 3 weeks ago. The staff is very helpful, patient and has many membership options to choose from so you can check things out for a week, or month or even during an 8 week Challenge. The half hour boot camp format is VERY effective and always challenging, and includes all kinds of muscles you forgot about! Every day is different and never boring. Barrett, Rosie, George, Steven and the other trainers are friendly, motivational, service-oriented and great role models. The boot camp atmosphere is one of comaraderie and encouragement - which I really appreciate. We're all in this journey together! I highly recommend checking it out - you will get results. read more

This is a fantastic place for anyone who is looking to get back into working out. The trainers are so encouraging and helpful. The atmosphere during the work out is very positive and you are encouraged to do your best and go at your own pace. The workouts are always different and time goes by so fast (except when you are doing glute raises, then time just magically slows down ... ). The trainers demonstrate different modifications for each exercise for those who need a little bit more help or for those who want to be challenged more. The place is impeccably clean and the equipment looks new. But really, it is the friendliness of the staff and their commitment to their work that makes this place shine. read more

After some hesitation I decided to try FBBC. I was extremely nervous about it since I hadn't exercised in forever. I've been attending for about four weeks now and I am extremely surprised by how much I enjoy the workout and how quickly the time flies. The workouts are only 30 minutes with high energy music. The instructors are very encouraging and take time to make sure you are doing the exercise correctly. The workout is different daily and everyone in the class is supportive and encouraging. You will definitely feel great after a workout. I'm enjoying myself and having fun. I can't believe how much I look forward to the workouts. I highly recommend giving FBBC a try. read more

I started here about four weeks ago and have enjoyed it everyday that I workout. I have not exercised in years and have tried other fitness facilities the past few years - no other program ever stuck. All the trainers and the other members are so positive and encouraging. It is a great workout for all levels of fitness. The trainers help modify or correct your form if needed. There is so much personal attention. Within a few workouts, I noticed the ability to perform daily chores much easier. The short workouts are so easy to fit in my schedule - that there is no reason not to make it happen. I just found out about this place after Barrett was on Fox2. I was inspired by their 8 week challenge winner who lost 55 lbs and 37 inches in only 8 weeks. As I want to lose 80 lbs I said I better check this place out. I recently started my trial membership and everything is wonderful. I look forward to coming in and getting a quick 30 minute full body workout. I sweat every time so I know I'm doing more than I did before in an hour long workout by myself at the gym. I moved here from Alaska, I wanted to find a place to workout and meet some great people. I love the fact that you show up and the workout is made for you. Lots of times offered and you can workout as many times as you want in one day. I have terrible knees(8 knee surgeries) they always had alternatives if I could not physically do a movement. It was a quick workout and works all your muscles. It is like a family there, everyone was motivating, caring, and cheering you on the whole workout. Its like a second home. I haven't completed a workout more than the occasional run around the block or some crunches in my living room for years. Going to a class at the gym was intimidating especially for an hour long class. I have been trying to get myself motivated to workout for a long time. I finally gave fit body boot camp a try and love it. I feel like I get a full body workout in just 30 minutes. The classes are fun and go by fast. Everyone is at a different fitness level. Staff is friendly and motivating. I never want to miss a day! I've been attending Berkley Fit Body Boot Camp for about a month and am really enjoying it...which is something I have never said about exercising before! I was intimidated by the name "Boot Camp," and assumed all of my friends that went there were only enjoying it because they were already in great shape....but I've found that Boot Camp really is for everyone! The sessions are challenging, but doable...and you will feel so proud of how hard you've worked every time you finish. This place drives me to want to be a better person both physically and mentally! As a former cardio tennis player and runner, my workouts felt redundant -- enter Barrett, Steve, Rosie and Heather -- BAM! My whole motivation changed. Each day I'm excited to see how they incorporate the various muscle groups and build my strength. I still hate Burpees and Slider Mt. Climbers but I'm getting stronger. Their energy and commitment drives each member to dig deep and finish. This placed was suggested by a neighbor and I love to play tennis but am not into "working out". The classes are great because they are only 30 minutes long and you do get a great workout. The staff and the owner are all very accommodating, There is an initial consultation and they weigh you and take your measurements but it is not pushy in any way...just helpful. They are also happy to talk to your about nutrition and diet. Finally they are clear in their billing and charges which was totally the opposite of LA Fitness in Royal Oak. I have been pleasantly surprised by the experience and would recommend this place to others. read more

Do not be fooled by the name Boot Camp. Although there are some pretty tough workouts, I have never felt happier after them. I always dreaded swimming because of how hard the practices were, but at Fitbody, I look forward to working out every day. That was never the case before coming here and I often convinced myself to just not work out. I've only been a part of the Fitbody family for about a month, and although I haven't seen the physical changes I desire, I can tell you I am a completely new person mentally, which is where everything starts. I joined Berkley Fit Body on a trial basis. I felt a 30 minute workout was better then sitting in rushhour traffic. And I haven't been disappointed. Everyone there is great and motivating, not like a drill sergeant in your face boot camp. For every movement, there are modified movements. I have knee issues and the instructors are very understanding and caring. If they see you struggling, they take the time to show you the modified movements. I've been MIA for a week or so and Rosie sent me a personal text to get me back in, which was nice and motivating. I highly recommend this establishment. read more

I love this facility. I've been to other boot camps and this is by far the best!! The trainers are very knowledgeable and helpful. The workouts are efficient and go by so fast. They keep you moving and get the job done. You have the option to do more than one class , the class is only 30 minutes which I thought wouldn't work for me. It works and having the option to do two classes in a row is a great bonus. I would recommend that anyone give it a chance regardless of your fitness level. The trainers modify all exercises to meet your fitness level. read more
