I started receiving services here under another Psychiatrist who left (for another job that offered…read morea shorter commute, not for any dissatisfaction.) When they left I was going to find another Psych/office simply for the fact I prefer a male therapist/psychiatrist. When I explained this over the phone while they were trying to set me up with an appointment with Dr. Berry they said I would only have to see her temporarily until they hired a new Psych (another male to replace the one who left), so I said 'ok sure'. My first appointment with her ended up being scheduled for the day I found out my mom committed suicide, literally scheduled for what ended up being 2 hours after I found out... I'm sure that was a first for her (previously scheduled appointment with a new patient who walks in almost right after finding something out like that)- however she handled that appointment as calmly as though it has happened a hundred times before. She gave me great insight into processing what happened, while also being a great listener, and not once ever 'saying the wrong thing' which can happen when you're in that sensitive of a moment. Well, I saw her after that with a concern over a undesirable side effect of the medication I was taking and she recommended me something that the previous Psych I had seen didn't know of, that is able to help with what I need AND not have this particular side effect. I am currently still waiting for them to hire a new male Psych, because Dr. Berry's case load is too much to take on new patients on a permanent basis- but I just wanted to write this review to exemplify how I do have a preference for gender relating to this field of medicine/situation, and she was able to impress and satisfy even me! As a side note their offices are very nice and the waiting room area is very appropriate for this line of work.

I'm honestly not someone who usually writes reviews, but my experience with Marisa has been so…read moreimpactful that I felt like I had to share. I drive over an hour each way to see her and it's been so worth it. I originally went to see Marisa for extreme anxiety and ongoing sleep issues, after trying what felt like every modality out there: somatic exercises, journaling, therapy, BIT, meditation, breath-work...you name it. While many of those helped in their own ways, nothing truly moved the needle for me the way hypnoacupuncture with Marisa has. From my very first session, there was an obvious shift. Even the people around me noticed. After that first session, the tension in my shoulders decreased, and the only way I can describe it is that everything (physically & mentally) felt like it had been taken down a notch. Since working with her, my sleep has completely transformed. I went from having an extremely hard time falling asleep and waking up almost every hour, to now pretty much sleeping through the night. If I do wake up, I can fall back asleep easily, and I'm even dreaming a lot which I take as a sign I'm finally getting deep, restful sleep. I've seen such drastic improvements that I genuinely feel like I have a new baseline. I feel so much more in control of my anxiety now and honestly like a completely different person than I was just a few months ago. It's been truly life changing. I honestly wish I could see her weekly. The closest way I can describe how you feel leaving a session is like you just had a massage; you're so relaxed, grounded, and at ease. Marisa has truly touched my life. She is genuinely an angel. She listens, she cares deeply, and she is incredibly dedicated to her clients. If she doesn't have an answer right away, she always follows up, whether by email or the next time you see her, which says so much about the level of thought and attention she gives. I don't feel comfortable around many people, but there's something about her energy that is so light and reassuring. She creates such a safe, welcoming environment, and it makes all the difference. I'm so grateful to have found her and truly can't recommend her enough.

Truly the best. One of a kind. I am so glad to have found Healing Point Therapeutic. I highly…read morerecommend the hypnoaccupuncture and also the intuitive readings. Top notch. Marisa is wonderful in all ways. The office and treatment rooms are also healing.

Patient Experience and Concerns at Fuller Hospital…read moreIntroduction This letter has been sent to contact us because patients are unable to express their concerns to administrators, as they are never informed. Initial Experience and Lack of Understanding I was at your facility for help with depression and anxiety. I only met Dr. Haz once and was told I do not know anything about my genetic condition. Hypophosphatasia, which my son and I are the only two individuals diagnosed with in Rhode Island. Dr. Haz looked up the condition hyperphosphatemia instead, which is a completely different medical issue. Concerns During Stay During my stay, I observed significant concern for patient safety as it takes two days or more to get medication approved. Staff failed to follow my primary care provider's instructions regarding medication, and nearly ruined my enzyme replacement medication, which costs $144,000 per month. I was given the wrong Keppra medication, and other wards would enter to take medication, snacks, and nutrition replacement drinks. Staff were also unable to keep track of food allergies or comply with dietary restrictions. Night Shift Conduct and Ward Environment The night shift treated the ward like a slumber party, yelling down the halls and asking patients if they wanted chips and salsa. Bullying was allowed, and inappropriate language was used openly. There was a lack of respect for religious beliefs and practices among both shifts. Personal Belongings and Medical Emergencies Staff stole $20 worth of hair oil from me, and I was sent to the emergency room due to a seizure. My PCP remains unaware of which hospital or treatment was provided. My PCP only learned of my admission after my husband called, following my report that my medication was being mishandled. Staff claimed I was lying about having spinal cord issues, despite documentation from my PCP, orthopedist, and physical therapist. Provider Conduct and Lack of Follow-Up The conduct of Dr. Haz's employees was unprofessional; Dr. Haz was present until 10 a.m. but left at 9:30 a.m. after a disagreement with a patient, leaving no one available for further consultations. I requested a new provider due to his rude behavior and abandonment of staff, but was told only to speak with the staff, which did not address the larger issue. A request to speak with the unit manager was ignored, and my hair oil was not returned upon discharge. Food Allergies and Dietary Concerns The hospital failed to accommodate my documented food allergies. I have severe allergies to beef, chipotle, strawberries, caramel, coconut, and lactose intolerance. Despite informing three staff members on my first day, my first meal included beef gravy, which caused illness within minutes. My allergy information was not acknowledged or recorded properly, even though I made it a point to notify everyone. Lack of Support for Mental Health Needs During my time at the facility, I received no help from depression or anxiety. I left feeling numb, and my PCP had to arrange intensive outpatient services, as Fuller Hospital provided no relevant mental health support. There were no meetings with a psychiatrist or therapist; instead, group meetings focused solely on alcohol and drug addiction, ignoring issues of depression and anxiety. Inconsistent Policies and Patient Safety Some patients were allowed to keep personal items in their rooms, while others, including myself, were not permitted to do so. My roommate was allowed a hairbrush, colored pencils, and food, but I was not allowed to keep paperwork or a hairbrush. She was also breaking a non-contact order without any intervention from staff. Conclusion and Appeal for Action I am uncertain whether sending this letter to you and the Departments of Health in Massachusetts and Rhode Island will help address these serious issues. This hospital should not be called a hospital, but rather a circus that is not properly governed. HERE IS MY CONDITION'S Hypophosphatasia (HPP) is a rare genetic disorder that affects bone and tooth mineralization, leading to soft and weak bones, with symptoms varying widely in severity and age of onset. What is Hypophosphatasia? Hypophosphatasia is a rare inherited metabolic bone disease characterized by impaired mineralization of bones and teeth due to mutations in the ALPL gene, which encodes the enzyme tissue nonspecific alkaline phosphatase (TNSALP). This enzyme is crucial for the proper mineralization process, and its deficiency leads to soft and fragile bones, as well as dental issues. clevelandclinic.org+1 Types and Severity HPP has several forms that vary in severity and age of onset, including: * Perinatal HPP: The most severe form, often resulting in stillbirth or death shortly after birth due to respiratory failure and skeletal deformities. * Infantile HPP: Symptoms appear in infancy, including poor feeding, respiratory problems, and skeletal abnormalities. * Childhood HPP: Symptoms can include short stature, b

From Judith Johnson, Ben Johnson to Lizzie Olmsted, it was just the worst experience and a very sad reality when I think about mental health providers. Horrible communication, problem for appointment, no assistance with provider/doctor/therapist......just a lot! I reached out to Judith (never heard from her) reached out to Ben j (more than once) and he did replied while after and "apologized" explaining how the clinic was working on "fixing communication" but it never got any better. No one ever called me even though I left MULTIPLE messages and the reply was an email from Lizzie that fixed nothing! I am sure not all providers are the same, but my experience was garbage and unacceptable. If you need counseling, struggling with mental health THIS IS NOT THE PLACE!!!! If the administration, office manager, CEO can not assist with something so simple...just reassures this is not a place that will think about anyones well being (knowing how important and delicate is when someone is struggling with mental health issues and reaches out for help). This is just another money making place that does not care about anything else, but their own financial growth! STAY AWAY BIANCA S MARTINEZ

We had the owner and social worker Richard Figueira as our counselor for 3 sessions. He NEVER showed up for our 4th session at 10am. We waited almost a half an hour then left him a note and left. I expected at least a phone call with an apology and an attempt to reschedule. NOTHING! I even called the office about 1-2 weeks later and spoke with someone who answered and explained what happened. She apologized but we still never heard form our therapist Richard Figueira. How thoughtless and unprofessional. At first I thought his blunt straightforward style would be helpful for couples to get to the heart of the matter quickly and effectively. Instead, he was just plain negative and rude stating "You two have lots of problems that I do not know if they can be fixed." I think it's more that he is incapable of fixing anyones problems as he obviosly has too many of his own.

She would use the phone during our sessions, would barely talk, and even misgendered me multiple times for months after I came out to her as trans (I had to aggressively ask her to stop, and I will say she made an effort but it wasn't too effective). I basically fidgeted with toys and talked to myself for 3 years. Never was really offered many coping skills, tips, etc. save for a few pieces of paper with activities that were clearly not aimed at my age group (saw her from about 15y-18y) mostly just had someone to talk to. She was frequently late, and quite a few time was not even there for an appointment (many times she was sick or had very good reason not to be, but no one contacted me and I ended up waiting for an hour or more) no secretary or person to ask questions in the waiting room, just a tiny window to the main office that usually has its blinds pulled. Good luck getting any help with scheduling or payment there. I went to their resident psychologist (no longer available I guess, thank heavens!!) to get prescribed medication. They did not take insurance and I spent ~2000 dollars to get laughed at and handed a piece of paper with "prozac" scribbled on it. I'm not kidding. This Dr. did not give a shit about me. She actually laughed when I told her about my past problems with drugs, suicide, self-harm and abuse, and then didn't even discuss treatments with me. Honestly, if you're looking for someone to talk to, be my guest. I only went here because they were one of the few places that accepts neighborhood, but there are many places out there that are probably more than worth the price.
