I had a very disappointing service experience at Bernardi Toyota after many years of being a loyal Toyota customer. I brought my 2017 Toyota Prius in for service and dropped it off around 10:30 AM. Later, the service advisor called me with recommendations totaling about $1,800, including routine service and additional major work such as brakes. Since this was more than I could spend at the time, I declined the additional work and then called back about 20 minutes later to approve only the regular service. I was told the car would be ready within about an hour and that I would receive a call. Several hours passed with no update. After about five hours, I called the dealership myself and was told the car had been ready for a long time. When I asked why nobody had called me, the service advisor claimed that he had called and sent a text. I did not receive either. Instead of simply acknowledging the communication problem, he became rude, argumentative, and repeatedly interrupted me. When I came to pick up the car, I asked to speak with the Service Director because I did not want to continue dealing with the same advisor. Unfortunately, that interaction was also disappointing. He did not ask what happened, did not invite me to sit down, did not show much concern, and also became argumentative when I said I intended to file a complaint with Toyota. Nobody apologized or made any real effort to understand the issue. I have owned multiple Toyota vehicles over the years and have serviced my Prius at Bernardi for a long time. I do not expect perfection, but I do expect basic courtesy, clear communication, and professionalism. This visit fell far below that standard. read more

I purchased a new 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid from Bernardi Toyota in Framingham, MA on September 17, 2025, and received the vehicle on September 24, 2025. Upon delivery, I discovered that the rear windshield was scratched due to improper installation of the rear wipers, clearly indicating a pre-delivery inspection failure. When I brought the car back to the dealership for diagnosis, they removed the wipers in front of me, with the metal parts still improperly installed, and then reinstalled them. Despite this clear evidence of their fault, the staff tried to claim that the damage could have been caused by me. The dealership refused to repair the scratched windshield and failed to take responsibility for delivering a brand-new vehicle in unacceptable condition. It is unacceptable to deliver a brand-new vehicle with preventable damage and refuse to address the issue, while attempting to shift blame to the customer. Bought a certified used 2021 Toyota Highlander with 16700 miles from Bernadi in September 2023. In May 2025, barely 12k miles later (27891 miles), the AC stopped working. Diagnosed as a major AC leak in the rear pipe with an estimated cost of $2500 - $3000 to repair. I tried to connect with the Service Manager before contacting Toyota Corporate, but the Service Manager doesn't return my messages. I have been to Bernardi 10 or so times and each time is disappointing. This last time was enough to get me to actually write a review. I planned my day around working from a coworkers house nearby so that I could drop my car off and take the shuttle (I live far away so the shuttle back to my house wasn't an option). I get a call 1 hour before my appointment telling me they needed to reschedule the appointment I made over a week ago and which they had confirmed the day before. No apology, no explanation, just saying they needed to reschedule. I explained my situation and said I was already in the area since I made arrangements and the woman on the phone said they may need to keep my car overnight (the appt was at 2pm...) and I said that's fine as long as I can get a rental car to drive home in. She said she would look into that and if there was any issue she'd call back but to come by at 2pm for the appointment. I get there at 2 and am greeted by someone saying "do you have an appointment? you need to reschedule" again no explanation or apology. I explain that I spoke to someone so she gets someone else (maybe the manager?) and he comes out and I re-explain the situation. After about 5min of this where I am sitting in the garage area in 100 degree heat (4 months pregnant) I ask if we can talk inside where there is AC. Once we talk, the man informs me that there is no rental service. So I ask about the shuttle and say I will stay at my coworkers house. They estimate the work will take 3-4 hours which is okay with me. I get to my coworkers house and there's no update on their end. I called at the 3 hour mark and was told i'd get a call right back. 40min later no call has come so I call again and am told my car is ready. I go to pay and see they charged me for tire rotations (a free service since I bought my tires from them) and had to point this out to the person who was helping me. He offered me a credit next time but I pushed for a refund since I am not going to come back here ever. They also gave me an estimate for the repairs they suggested which amounted to over $2000. I called two highly rated places in Boston for a price comparison and both came in under $1000 so I will be getting my work done there. The cherry on top was I get in my car and the floor mat on the drivers side was gone. I looked around my car and saw it was just thrown in the back seat. Also once I started driving, I noticed a strange sound that was absolutely not there before. Just overall such a mess of a situation. I will absolutely never be coming back. I was very motivated to find a late model Toyota Prius LE AWD. CarFax pointed me to Bernardi that had a very nice model, low mileage. The listing specifically said cloth seats, which were important to me and the reason I wanted an LE. The pictures were hard to discern, but looked like leather. When the rep called from Bernardi, I asked him if he could confirm cloth seats. He went consulted with someone and called me right back to say 'they're definitely not leather'. I left my workday and drove 90 minutes out to test drive, with a downpayment in my pocket, an 800+ credit rating, and ready to sign the papers. The price looked high, but it was exactly the car I wanted. When I arrived, Bob Q took me out to the car, opened the door and I saw non-cloth seats. He said that they were 'fake leather' and that's what comes on the XLE. The listing clearly said LE. The window sticker said LE. The badge on the back of the car said XLE. Instant fail. Bob and I both looked at each other a little embarrassed. I told him it wasn't the car I wanted, but I'd drive it anyway and entertain whatever offer they wanted to make for my trade. (2008 Prius.... it wasn't worth much but it's still getting me where I'm going) Nice test drive. Nice car. (Except for the fake leather seats). They offered me $500 for my trade, which was quite a bit lower than KBB. The numbers didn't make sense for a car that I was bummed about. If they had a) recognized that there had been a mistake and the car was misrepresented, and b) made any offer whatsoever better than $500 on my trade, I probably would have signed. A few months ago they had the model car I wanted listed on the website but only 1 picture. Since Massachusetts dealerships are staffed by the lowest common denominator of people I called in to verify that it had the features I wanted. You know before wasting a 3 hour round trip in traffic to get there and back. The girl on the phone was really polite. She actually put me on hold for 10 minutes because she told me she was going to go outside and look. 3rd row seating? "Of course it has 3rd row seating" Tan interior "Of course it has tan interior, let me put you on hold ill go verify" She did that. came back and told me what I wanted to hear. I told her I'd be in that evening and to have it ready as I have cash in hand. I drove the hour and a half it takes to get to Bernardi from my house. I met with a salesman and they told me the car would be right up. When the guy pulled it up I knew it was not correct. It had no 3rd row seating and gray interior. The salesman told me it did not matter that it has no 3rd row seating and gray interior. That it's the same car and that my wife and I won't even notice. Oh? The guy with 60k in his fanny pack doesn't care what color the inside is or that it's missing two seats does not care? Ok cool. Good to know that. I'm not some yuppie from inside the 95 belt who does not care. He told me that they had the model I wanted but it was an hour away. I said yeah i'll wait. We started to talk about price. He told me Toyota is firm on it's pricing and gave me his number. I responded with my fair offer and was denied. He again told me that Toyota does not and has not ever negotiated on pricing. Well maybe this crummy dealership doesn't but Boch, Ira, and Toyota of Woostah Ohio do. The salesman told me this is the best price within 1000 miles. So I thanked him for wasting my extremely valuable time that I will never get back. I found the same car out in Ohio. That dealership actually treated me like I was a human and not a number. I got my ride for $4900 cheaper including final taxes and fees and transport back to Mass than If I would have bought it on the other side of the State. 1 Star because you guys wasted hours of my valuable time I will never get back and for lying to me and doing the ol' bait and switch. In the meantime I made a call to a body shop that I trust and know well to get a quote to fix this issue so I have some idea of what needs to be done. After he looked at the photos he gave a rough estimate of 1,500 to 2k for the paint work to be fixed but he needs to see it in person to make a full estimate. Never got my call back from the dealer I called got sent to VM called sent to VM. Finally Chris called back we talked and I was told there is nothing they are going to do it is what it is. So I am now stuck with a 2k repair bill to fix paint work that was not peeling when I got the car but failed the day I drove it home. If your going to buy a car buy from a dealership that stands behind there customers. This is the 4th car my family has got from the this dealership and it is the last. read more

I had an appointment today for an air bag replacement on the front passenger side of my 2005 Corolla. The closest Toyota dealer is Bernardi in Framingham so there I made my appointment for 830. First the positives. I was taken immediately by Mikhail, an assistant service manager. Pleasant, efficient, courteous. I noticed as my car was pulled forward, another service person was in my car. I commented it was nice my car was being cleaned. Mikhail said it was being disinfected. I guess I understand that, on the era of Covid-19 and the protection of their personnel. I must also recognize Bernardi is a clean, welcoming facility, a great lounge, clean restrooms, free coffee and a tv showing mindless GMA. Now the negatives. DO NOT EVER DISINFECT MY CAR AND THEN TRY AND CHARGER ME $3.75 WITHOUT EVER TELLING ME UP FRONT THERE'S A CHARGE. DO NOT EVERY GO THROUGH MY CAR FOR SOMETHING YOU DID NOT ASK UP FRONT. Charged me $160 for just a diagnostic and didn't even diagnose the problem properly. They then quoted a laughable amount to replace an exhaust. Went down the street and paid over $1000 less than they quoted. Never going back - all they had to do is give me a fair price and assuming they had done a good job I could have become a regular customer. To make things worse they missed a hole in my muffler so if I had paid the ridiculous price they quoted my problems would not even be fully fixed. They said at first that if I get service from them the diagnostic fee will be waived - but when I said I will just get the pedals lubed (they wanted to charge $160 just for this as well lol - the other place did it for free) they informed me that each problem with the car has its own diagnostic fee so I'd have to get all the work done there to avoid the fee not just part of it. Sounds pretttty scammy to me. Oh yeah and I dropped the car off at 11:30AM for an appointment I had scheduled a week in advance and they didn't have the diagnostic (or state inspection which I was also there for) done until the next day despite saying it would be same day. I was looking for a new RAV4 with a few specific options that I knew were relatively hard to find and although I knew they didn't have exactly what I was looking for on the lot, I wanted to go in for a test drive to get a feel for the car overall. Oren got us setup to test out a comparable XLE Premium and we loved it. From there I gave him the color, interior and options we wanted. He was able to find exactly what we were looking for at another location and had the car delivered to the lot the next day. We walked out at the end of the week with the car we wanted at the price we wanted. Oren was knowledgeable, communicative at every step, walked us through several financing options and I never felt pressured to make a decision I didn't want to make. VERY VERY BAD Customer Service at this Toyota Framingham dealership. BEWARE DON'T COME. I've been coming here for years to service my Tundra and it's been fairly okay until today. I made an appointment for 8am for an oil change. They told me it will take 1.5 to 2hrs, so I left and said I'll be back later. I called at 10am and inquired about the status. The lady informed me that there were various issues with my truck that may need service (i.e. like replacing the side mirrors, etc.). I declined and asked again if my truck was done. She said probably another 1/2 hr. I called back at 11am and still it's not done. The lady said she'll call me when it's done. I called back at noon since no one called me back and asked again. This time the lady said it's ready. I came out there and the bill was $60....I asked whether the price increased. She stated that my truck was a V8 and that's the price. I said but I've been coming here for years and it's only been around thirty something dollars. I asked her to check my records in the system. She pulled it up and stated that they didn't charge me for the oil change last time. I was like "Are you kidding me?" "I came here for an oil change and wasn't charged for an oil change, then what was I charged for???" She couldn't give me an answer. I was so aggravated that I just paid the damn bill. I got my keys and went outside to the truck and inspected it. To my surprise, my skid plate was very loose and some screws were missing. I went back in and complained and both the lady and the service manager very not very helpful at all. They stated that the screws were already missing. I said if the screws were missing wouldn't my skid plate fall off on the highway??? I stated that my oil change took way too long from 8am to 1pm and I'm still here at the dealership and now my screws are missing!!!! Long story short, finally the service manager refunded my $$$ and asked me not to come me back again for service. I agreed that this place suck and that I will never come back. I was spoken about in the third person within hearing range, "Yeah, she doesn't want to do that..." when refusing to sign a VERY shady piece of paperwork with financing terms and details before my credit was run (I was happy to run my credit!), was asked "why?" over and over and over and over then told the paperwork wasn't binding? So why do I and the sales manager have to sign it? They didn't even have the title for the car. The misogyny here was undeniable and unbelievable. ESPECIALLY for women who are on their own, DO NOT go here. In my waste of time 1.5 hours here, I began to understand why people look at car salespeople the way they do and was provided with NO figures on actual financing; they would not provide any actual financing offers until I chose my down payment and terms by circling and signed the piece of paper containing the national averages that referenced zero of my actual info. I had to ask to leave MULTIPLE times before my keys were finally retrieved from where they were being held over 100 feet away. I was BEYOND uncomfortable. No no no no no. Never again.
