I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this company…read more The sales process was excellent, but once the purchase was completed, communication became very poor. Beginning on July 16, I repeatedly left voicemails and sent text messages to my counselor, Idarmis, simply asking for guidance on the next steps regarding my father's scroll. Weeks went by without any response. I was later told that Idarmis was waiting for instructions from my wife, who is the property owner. However, that explanation does not reflect my experience. If additional information or authorization was required, a simple phone call or text explaining that would have resolved the matter immediately. Instead, my repeated requests for guidance were ignored. Ironically, I only received a text message from Idarmis after I contacted the office manager, Christina, to express my concerns. What concerns me even more is the company's apparent policy of refusing to provide customers with management's email address when they need to escalate an issue. Multiple employees declined to provide it, which I found highly unusual. In all my years of doing business, I have never encountered a company that prevents customers from contacting management to resolve a legitimate concern. If managers are there to assist customers, their contact information should not be withheld from clients. That practice is unprofessional and should be reviewed by corporate. Families choose a funeral service provider expecting compassion, responsiveness, and clear communication during difficult times. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I hope the company reviews its communication practices and customer service policies so that future families do not experience the same frustration I did.

This week marks the thirtieth anniversary of my mother's passing. So for the last thirty years…read moreevery time I look down to my mother's grave I see the custom headstone that the Gateway Monument Company created for our family to commemorate our mother's life. I will always remember the care, patience and understanding I received from the staff at Gateway. It is a difficult time to make decisions when grieving the loss of a loved one. They helped us get through it, and produced a fitting memorial for our mother - something the funeral home could not provide from their stock options. Thank you for being part of the positives that came out of a heart breaking life event.

I can tell you from too much experience that Gateway Monuments, and its principal owner, Mr. James Kamercia, are indeed the best in the business. They care so much to get the job right, they certainly do "cross their T's and dot their I's". Not long ago I lost my Grandmother, my father-in-law and my Dad, all within a 9 month period. Mr. Kamercia worked with my family and me to design, engrave and install my Grandmothers marker, consulted us on the dealings we had with the company designated to engrave at a mausoleum for my Father, and researched and suggested casket and urn choices for my father-in-law's arrangements. The wealth of knowledge that this individual provides (I believe that he has taught mortuary science at The University of Miami and has worked in many aspects of the funeral services business) is emotionally invaluable and financially quite fair. This guy Kamercia is the best of the best, the go to guy if you ever need to know anything about the funeral business or need a true work of art in a memorial......but personally, I hope not to need to order another monument again..........As I said, its a tough business. However, my family knows who to call when my time is up.

We had a visitation service on Wednesday night and cone Thursday, they refused to bring the flowers from their location to the church because they scheduled services too closer to one another and they didn't have a driver to bring them to the church and offered to bring them direct to the cemetery. Not acceptable so we asked if they could travel in the hearse, but told they "didn't want to damage the casket." Our limo driver was also 15 minutes late. My mom is still negotiating how to get the flowers to the church and we are now 20 minutes late behind schedule and may be late for our own grandfathers church service. This place is over priced, they clearly over book which then compromises promised services that we clearly over paid for.

When you call to ask for someone in charge, they always tell me they are busy and will call me back. They don't. If one looks, most of the Bronze vases are stolen, only to be replaced by inexpensive painted aluminum. Someone stole my parent's vase recently. I want to buy another bronze one, I'm afraid that will get stolen. The security mainly sits in their golf cart. I would like to know why there is so much theft. No one cares. To put the icing on the cake, at my sister's funeral years ago ( she was cremated) they forgot to bring the urn. That affected my mother in many ways. If I could give negative 100 stars I would!
