Fresh from the oven ( Steak Stromboli) and delicious!

Quaint little spot in a strip mall. The food here always wonderful especially the Steak Stromboli. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Plenty of seats to sit inside or outside.

    My Steak Stromboli! Super delicious!

Glad to see Bernardo's is still around after all these years. I remember coming here with my father at their original location on Foothills blvd. Their food is still amazing as it always has been. This new building is nice and very up to date. People working here are a pleasure.

Steak Stromboli fresh and hot out of the oven

Close to the I8 at Fortuna Road. We've been searching for some delicious pizza in Yuma. We found it here at this family owned business. The crust, the homemade sauce, and toppings blend into a perfect pizza. We also ordered the steak Stromboli-our first time to have Stromboli. It was delicious! The peppers and sauce toppings were perfect accoutrements. Prices are reasonable and portions generous. Order and pay at counter. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Indoor and outdoor patio dining available. Very clean restaurant/dining areas. Self serve fountain drinks. Per associates, they allow patrons to bring their own beer or wine. This place was busy right up until closing. Lots of to go orders. Note: Since they close at 6 pm, it's worth calling ahead and utilizing the pick up service for a delicious take home dinner.

    Bomb Steak Sandwich

Had tuna and the bomb and the meatballs sandwiches. First time here. They melted cheese on the tuna sandwich which was a first for us and not really what we wanted. Would not order again.the bomb sandwich lacked good seasoning in the meat and the bread was chewy! The meatball sandwich was ok according to my friend Daniel. You also get a small drink and a bag of chips with your order. We strongly suggest that French fries would be a better option. Just moved to Yuma and probably won't be coming back.

My girlfriend was supposed to have her car serviced at the dealership today. A wrench was thrown in the works, so the three of us met for breakfast. My boyfriend and I had already had breakfast, so we ordered off the lunch menu. I had a fried chicken sandwich, he had the chicken Caesar wrap. GF got the churro French toast breakfast plate with poached eggs and bacon. The waitress (Caitlin?) didn't pay much attention to our table. When we got our food, the fried chicken breast in the sandwich was lukewarm and she didn't ask about any sauce (ranch, etc) for the onion rings. The lady had to ask for the poached eggs and bacon. Also, she ordered an iced mocha with oat milk and caramel. Correct me if I'm wrong, but nowhere on the menu did it say that oat milk is an additional cost. Caramel was an additional cost. For a puny little iced coffee it ended up being $10. No refills. And we had to ask for ranch. She filled up my boyfriend's water glass and not mine. If it's empty, fill it. It's a hundred and something outside, please make sure all your guests are hydrated. The bill was $70. The lunches were extremely overpriced for what we got, to be honest. I know that prices have gone up and that inflation is a thing. I get that, I really do. The chicken sandwich was definitely not worth $15 and although the onion rings were good (and I'm thankful we weren't charged extra for them), it was still a letdown. This was akin to a $12 combo meal at a fast food joint. The first time I was here was a couple months ago. I had ordered the Denver omelette and when the waitress came out, she brought the wrong omelette ,(the three meat) out and didn't even try to correct her mistake even AFTER I had said it was wrong. That waitress was also inattentive and ignored us for the majority of our meal. We don't eat out a whole lot so it's a treat when we do. Less of a treat to receive subpar, overpriced food and subpar service. Sorry.

That gray pile of meat on the roll looks nothing like what I expect when somebody claims to be serving a real Philly cheesesteak. Maybe it tastes better than it looks, but visually? Come on. It looks like the kind of processed frozen steak substitute places use when they want the name without putting in the work. And that's what bothers me most. If you want to sell your own version of a steak sandwich, go for it. Call it a Yuma steak, Ronnie's steak, desert beef surprise, whatever you want. But when you start advertising yourself as the "Home of the Philly Cheesesteak," you're inviting people from Philadelphia to judge it by Philadelphia standards. Apparently, plenty of Philly people already have, and the reaction has not been kind. Look up Cheesesteak Gurus a Facebook group of over 100 thousand people. All those people and not one kind word in regard to Ronnies steak sandwich. A cheesesteak doesn't need to be fancy. It needs good chopped beef, a proper roll, melted cheese, and somebody behind the grill who understands what they're making. This thing looks like somebody heard about cheesesteaks through a friend who once had a layover at the Philadelphia airport. Ronnie's may sell sandwiches. Ronnie's may even sell sandwiches people in Yuma enjoy. But calling that thing an authentic Philly cheesesteak? Absolutely not. Philadelphia rejects this application.
