I asked about a senior or military discount and I was told no with a scuff so They don't respect Military or Seniors is obvious. Then I see that their prices are way more than the online website! The girl says yep we can't control the online pictures and they are 4 years old. I start looking at the stromboli as it's suppose to be out of this world! But it's pre-made ok but not everyone wants all the ingredients inside so she said she needs a day before to make it!? I dident even order because how I was treated! So I can't attest to the foods taste but I can say that they are waaaay overpriced and Close at 6pm almost daily! Really..Bring your big wallets because your going to need it! Bernardo's is a place that I spot on my way to California for a little snack. We've been going here for over 20 years and the quality hasn't changed. They are spot on with keeping there items consistent without skyrocketing in price. I always get the Italian sub and this past time it was fresh and delicious. We stopped by on our way to California and are very happy we decided on pizza for lunch. They only serve 14" pizzas which has 8 pieces. This was enough for two adults a teen and toddler to not be stuffed while driving on our road trip. I really enjoyed the crispy crust and was surprised to see the toppings were under the cheese! We tried Bernardo's a few years ago and it was amazing. Today we tried the steak Stromboli and a pepperoni pizza. The Stromboli was alright and I would get it again but the pizza was horrible. The crust was thick and soggy, they loaded it with tons of cheese which is usually a good thing but the cheese couldn't even melt because it was so much. We tried throwing it in the air fryer to finish cooking it and didn't make much of a difference. We love to support local family owned businesses but something has to be done about that pizza. read more

I used to enjoy Bernardo's old place more than I do the new one. I don't go there as frequent and their Stromboli tastes a little off. It may just be me. The service seems to be rushed since is busy most of the time. But I'm sure this a good sign for a business and regulars. The ambiance could be a little overwhelming and loud so if your are tying to relax and enjoy your food these factors should be considered. If you're not a stromboli person and enjoy pizza more you can have it as a pizza! They also offer traditional italian deli style subs that get rave reviews from locals and visitors!! They recently opened a bigger and beautiful location! We went with the steak stromboli! It's chocked full of delicious quality, tender beef, fresh spinach and a 3 cheese blend for that amazing stretchy cheese pull you expect from authentic Italian!! Wow! The 5 star reviews are accurate! Clean, modern industrial decor, and a very friendly staff. Of course the star of the show is the food. This is our first time eating here but since the menu includes their marinara in a lot of their offerings, it's safe to say that we'll love everything offered! My husband had the Bomb Steak which has grilled onions, mushrooms and "stuff", generously piled on a crusty roll. He's already planning a return trip! I had the meatball sandwich...3 huge, delicious meatballs on a crusty yet soft roll, with melted provolone and plenty of their delicious sauce. I could only eat 1/2.
