Be careful when picking pumpkins, a lot of them have rot or have large blemishes from being dropped/insects doing their thing. The farmer followed us around and made comments that were not helpful. I would only come back for apple picking, for the variety.

They have so many different kinds of apples- there's bound to be one that everyone likes: Paula Reds, Macs, Gala, Cortland, and these huge yellow ones whose name escapes me.... Apple-picking here is the one thing I look forward to once fall and harvest season rolls around. It's family run and they are so nice and willing to show you where you can find the best apples. The grounds are very scenic and well-maintained but if you have problems walking amongst hilly terrain, stick to the lower orchards. They also have a small farm stand with their own veggies and also locally made honey and maple syrup. I also noticed on their website that they offere a reasonably priced "harvest subscription" (bascially like a CSA). I actually went here today as a matter of fact!! Day two of their season. Got a bushel of (delicious) Paula Reds, 2 heirloom tomatoes, and 4 (very fresh) ears of corn. They also had squash and mini-pumpkins along with other kinds of tomatoes. Once Halloween gets closer, they will have quite the selection of pumpkins. I highly recommend this orchard- whether it's just yourself or the whole family. :)

After hanging out with the alpacas and talking to Ray for a while, we were introduced to his wife, Debbie, who opened up her store of home made goods for us to peruse. Debbie is an incredibly talented knitter, and together the Cilley's have worked to breed the alpacas such that they have won a copious number of awards which are proudly displayed in the store. We enjoyed the Cilley's hospitality, well cared for property and animals, and even bought a few alpaca-felted items. The farm is definitely worth the trip- whether to see a bit of rural New Hampshire, find out what alpacas actually are, or find some unique and beautifully crafted clothing! TIP: Be sure to follow the way (and the signs) to #81...this is a small town and many other residential (i.e. non-commercial) farms are near by.

Hurry up and wait. But...the turkey is well worth waiting for. Juicy, tender delicious. I've read some other reviews for Raymond's and I think there are more factors involved than just blaming Raymond's for the way their turkey turned out. Overcooking, under buying the size, etc. In all the years I have never got a turkey that was dry and tough as other describe. I go during the year and buy turkey pies, but my favorite are their chicken pies. They don't always have them, so if you are interested, call ahead. They slice the chicken which I love. I think the slicing allows for more chicken in the pie than cubes. I want a chicken pie, not a gravy pie. The turkey is the same. Jam packed with turkey. I keep several in the freezer especially in the Winter. There are very few placed that have good turkey and chicken pies. Trust me, I've tried them all. They also sell sliced cold turkey, turkey salad, al the typical Thanksgiving sides, turkey meatballs, meatloaf, shepherd's pie, soups, turkey burgers, turkey sausage and various turkey parts. This is a place well worth trying, and if you go at holiday time make sure you are ready to hurry up and wait. They can't help that they are slammed with business at that time of year.

I have filed a small claims case with Martin Family Ranch LLC as David Martin claims he isnt responsible for not refunding my money. My husband was hospitalized for a week in August 2025. and upon leaving the hospital there was no way he was going to be able to ride a horse. When I tried rebooking in February 2026 for this summer, the ranch was fully booked. Wouldn't a smart business try to work with someone's money they have already taken for a year. The big red flag was when his wife Jessica posted they were selling Martin's Ranch. It all smells funny, and if you look up their business ID in New Hampshire, the company is not in good standing. I would be very weary of any of these great reviews as they were four years old.

It's a fun course with a short par 3 over a pond on #6, #7 is a very interesting short par 4 that is straight out and then an acute 45 degree angel over a creek, #8 is a very challenging par 3, with a downhill fairway, over a natural area and creek to narrow green. All in all a very fun & challenging front 9. The tee boxes are all in good shape, the fairways are all grassy and green and the greens are slick and fast. We played 9 holes right at a 2 hour pace. I'll be looking forward to a return to play the remaining 9.
